Don't miss Carmichael's top Mexican restaurants, as recommended by Restaurantji.
“This is a colorful little strip mall spot with a great salsa bar and very friendly counter service. The salsa was fresh and there are several varieties to choose from. The wife got her favorite, Camerones a La diabla and the shrimp were clean, and simmered in a rich , red sauce. The rice and beans are perfect!! I had the shrimp taco fish taco plate. The tacos were loaded with a killer slaw, cilantro and onions, and a killer sauce. I was full off one taco but if you know me, you know I finished both. This place is 10/10 and if we lived closer, would be our go to Mexican spot.“
“I read this place is the best menudo in town and I have to say that they have the menudo I have ever had. The broth has great body and flavor. I have had menudo up and down California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas and this place beats them all.“
“I came with my family for dinner and honestly everything was delicious. Jasmin provided service for us and was excellent at her job. The atmosphere is very nice and very familiar. We rarely go out to eat, but because of Jasmin's service, and the quality of the food, we will return.“
“Holy guacamole!! This place is delicious! We were surprised when we walked in by how small it was. And glad we made a reservation ahead of time! First, the chips are so good! They have some sort of seasoning on them that really tales them up a notch. We were a table of six and got a variety of foods, everyone loved theirs. Very attentive service and the food came out fast. One mistake was made in our order and the food was remade incredibly quickly. Can't beleive we have lived down the street from this place for so long and never been!!! Definitely try this place if your in Carmichael, it's better than the other Mexican restaurants in the immediate vicinity“
“This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. Instead of chips and salsa they serve you mango. You can get guacamole made at your table and the menu includes pozole. The downside is they automatically add a tip for the chef after adding the tax. I wasn't sure of what to leave the waiter.“
“Went to this place for the first today. Since I work in the area, I thought I'd give it a try and i have to say, their Mexican food is bomb. I got the asada quesadillas and they left me full and satisfied!! I will definitely come here again! 5 star for sure!!“
“My boss treated me to lunch from Garcia's so this is just a quick first impression. I ordered the Grilled Margarita Chicken Burrito which was filled with lots of flavorful fajita style veggies and yummy slightly spicy jalapeno cheese sauce. Burrito was garnished with nice fresh lettuce, chopped tomatoes and sour cream. The flour tortilla itself was not very "golden grilled" as the description says but it was still good. Included was a bag of tortilla chips (just ok,) red salsa (very watery no spice,) refried beans (yummy,) and Mexican rice (just ok.) Portion size was large IMO so I have leftovers for tomorrow! Based on my burrito, I would give this restaurant another visit as I saw a few more items I'd like to try and update my review when we choose to dine in.“
“The food remains excellent. Rubio's has maintained the old Urbano's menu in addition to adding menu items. This week they started karaoke on Tue, Wed, and Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. and it is awesome! The banquet/karaoke room is very family friendly with adequate seating and excellent sound.Kid-friendliness: The owners and servers are very friendly and accommodating towards children and have children themselves.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a back door entrance to the banquet/karaoke room very close to the handicapped parking. The restroom entrances are wide enough for the larger wheelchairs.“
“If you want the BEST calorie per dollar, and to get your food in under five minutes. This is the best place to go. I always get the carne asada fries and fish tacos. They never disappoint. Tonight I didn't have to wait a minute. Cashier and chef were top tier, that's why this is a place I'll always go!“
“Got the mangonada which were Amazing!!! Their tacos are huge which I love. They can be expensive so if you are getting dinner for the family expect to pay more. I got Nacho fries, 2 tacos, 2 mangonadas, and 3 rolled tacos and paid just under $50... Food was very good though.“
“The drive-through was fascinating as it winding around the curve to get to the speaker to have a wonderful greeting from the voice within, sounded as if it was from out of the air that was coming from to utter the words. May I help you?... indeed. Yes The #25 was meticulously thought of and ordered as I approached the first window to the left to receive my order after making a payment. And just like that within a Reasonable fraction of my days time I received my order I took a look within the contents of the bag and realized everything had been accounted for two green sauces and two red sauces. I didn't even have to ask for anything I noticed to look into the back to see the cook doing his best to create such a marvelous piece of meat and potatoes. Yum Yum it was good well worth the dollar amount definitely full. The ambience was on par better than I could ever expect from such an establishment.“
“It was okay. I'd recommend the meat grills, however, which they cook in front of the restaurant. The pictures they have on the menu are not the same esp for the sides. I thought treatment wasn't as friendly towards females at least my experience of it. No ice for drinks.“
