“Its a decent stand, genuinely, the tacos are really well done and they are absolutely delicious! I would honestly recommend getting some lime and taking their avocado salsa to eat them with, really really damn good altogether.

Some notes, if you do want to go in, they only take cash or zelle, so have one of those two ready if you want to buy something.

The portions are also nice, I got 4 tacos for $12, and if you want something else on that menu it generally is within the 10-15 dollar range for an actual meal amount of food. Not a bad price considering what your getting, would fully recommend to anyone who wants some good Mexican food, even over a lot of the other local tacqueria's and Mexican restaurants.“

“My husband picked up a chimichanga for me Wednesday night from the Antelope location. I took a bite and oh lawd! I closed my eyes and could hear the angels singing. It was so good! This close to my house? Lucky me. No fat or gristle, so good! I'll be back.“

“We had a very friendly and helpful cashier, ordering food and eating in the restaurant was a very pleasant experience. It's still a fastfood restaurant but compared to a typical fastfood place my visit was exceptional.

Edit: I've gone a few more times since posting and it's been consistently good. Therefore I feel the need to bump up the rating. The night crew is amazing.“

“This is one of my all-time favorite taquerias whenever I visit my family in Roseville. I live in Rio Vista, CA, so it’s a long drive, but it’s worth it. Their food is authentic and delicious, from their amazing tacos to their huge burritos. And their Quesabirria is simply the best. The staff is also super awesome, and I hope to meet Roberto one of these days. They never disappoint, and I give them a solid 10 out of 10.“

“Hands down the best thing on the menu is the Queen Breakfast Burrito! It is THE BOMB!! There's not another Mexican restaurant anywhere that makes it the way these guys do. Loads of meat, fresh potatoes....not that processed shredded burrito you get everywhere else. I promise you...once you try this one you'll go back over and over. We used to live around the corner and now we moved to a different city, but I travel back here to get this burrito. My wife thinks the same. We CRAVE this burrito!!“

Niko was manning the counter and couldn't have been more helpful and professional, walking me through the menu for the first time. “WOW!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! Cannot wait to come back! Everything was EXCELLENT!!! FOR SERVICE THE FOOD IN THE ATMOSPHERE 10/10!! They give you fresh fruit and freshly made conchas when you sit down. We ordered guacamole with chicharrones and the lengua ranchera was to die for! My drink came in a ceramic pig. It was the cutest drink I've ever had! Definitely recommend this place!!

NOBODY else does a burrito like they do, and if you eat here, you will forever be cursed with the hunger. Ive had countless nights where i wake up screaming because i know in my soul I dont have access to Carmelitas anymore. This review is based on the last time i had the ability to eat there, 2010-2014. God has forsaken me. There must be no more room in hell, as the Devil walks on earth to torment my soul since 2015. Also the salsa is a top 5 all timers of california. not really spicy but heavy of the flavor. It'll make your local taco truck commit seppuku. As will i shortly as ive dishonored my bloodline by not being able to move back, therefore never being able to bless my children with this life changing burrito. I dont deserve their forgiveness.“

“Generous portions, perfectly cooked shrimp, and flavors that hit every note, pure magic! This restaurant is my mom's favorite (she and her bestie are regulars), and I was lucky enough to catch them before they left so I could place a to-go order. My go-to test at any Mexican restaurant is the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (garlic butter shrimp), and I was thrilled to see it on the menu here. Ordering takeout is always a gamble since you're not at the restaurant if something isn't right but I believe quality should be consistent whether dining in or taking food to go. Thankfully, this place delivered in every way. The shrimp were succulent, large, not skimpy, and cooked perfectly. The garlic butter was rich and flavorful without being overpowering, and the sautéed onions balanced it all out. Even the refried beans stood out (something many places surprisingly get wrong). The rice was fairly standard...on the drier side but when mixed with the beans and that delicious garlic butter from the shrimp, it turned into a whole new level of flavor. That's how I made my burritos (that's how I eat this plate, I have to wrap it all up in a flour tortilla. Let me tell you, it was absolute magic! Portions were generous, I could tell the meal was thoughtfully prepared, and every bite was pure satisfaction. The only downside was the styrofoam packaging (I'm not a fan of that), but it didn't take away from how incredible the food itself was. This restaurant easily earns my seal of approval. I'll definitely be ordering from here again because when I say the food was amazing with a capital A, I mean it!“

“My wife, Sylvia and I love this restaurant. She's Mexican and always enjoys the authentic flavors of every dish, but has yet to sample the menudo. I often get the child's cheeseburger upgraded with everything on it and the fries score big time. Their self serve chips and salsas are also Sylvia's favorites and she'll sometimes just get chips to go, reasonably priced at $2.“

“The outdoor patio was a good option on a busy night--even though it was a warm day, the patio was pleasant and shaded (& quieter than indoors for sure).
The fajita, although decent in basic flavor and good on protein quanity, seemed like a cheat by use of a warmed serving skillet rather than a sizzling one (it was like it was prepped on a flattop then served on the new-looking cast-iron skillet.
Service faded after meal delivery with empty glasses reminders needed several times.“
