“My plate of Cameron's Ala DiablaWas delicious perfect amount of spices, accented with their beans and rice that were cooked to perfection. It's been a long time since I found such wonderful flavors in one dish. The customer service was also wonderful!“
“Found the place on Yelp. I try to find places that have Mexican shrimp cocktails, in hopes they have campechana which just adds octopus. Top marks for their campechana here! It has more kick than most, so I really like it. The hostess was very helpful when I custom designed a dish to try to hit keto, on a different day. So I ate here four meals in three days on a business trip. I took a road trip during the week and had shrimp cocktail an hour up the road… This one is way better. I would look forward to coming back here for the food.Dietary restrictions: Hostess readily customized a dish for my keto request“
“I can’t believe I was the only one there. This place should be packed!! I got the “carnitas” and the crispy tacos. Incredible! Vegan or not, you can’t go wrong. It was sooo good!Vegetarian options: All vegan but tastes like authentic mexican food.“
“I was hesitating about eating at another Mexican taqueria because I'm not from this area, but let me tell you that I will definitely come back and I can't wait to do that. service great ,and the restaurant was clean, including the restroom. the food was very good tasting and I know Mexican food. the salsas were fresh and tasty. great atmosphere and very busy..I'll be back!“

“Service excellencent. Cash or check only. No bueno Coffee tasty. Small cups though. Like larger cup so less refills Had chili Colorado w flour tortillas. Tortillas were hot hot hot! Tasted homemade Chili Colorado w papás had decent flavor. Not like I'm used to but good. I just wish there was more flavor to it and a tad more serving size. I marked down 1 star for no CC and small serving size. Good neighborhood staple“
“We met this place for the first time we loved it, we will definitely return. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Ulysses attended us and was very attentive, friendly and it was a good experience thanks to him. 100% recommended. We met this place for the first time and we loved it, we will definitely come back. “Excellent food! Dined in with my partner on a Tuesday evening. The place was decently busy, both dine in and carry out. I started with two pupusa, one birria and one chicken. My partner had the bean and cheese and the Loroco flower and cheese pupusas. We were also given a side salad of what I'd call a slaw. It was delicious, sort of a spicy flavor and went well with my pupusas. I really enjoyed my burria pupusa and ordered another to round out my meal. The birria pupusas come with a consome that I thoroughly enjoyed. They also have two salsa/sauces they bring to the table and both are quite alright. I will certainly be back and look forward to trying out the rest of the menu.“
“I went to tipsy putt for the first time last week to attend drag bingo for my birthday. Bingo was fun! Arrive early to get seats and get your bingo cards from the bar. When you walk in, you have no idea where to go for bingo. Once you do get to the seats where it's at, it's still a little confusing. I just sat down, not knowing you're supposed to walk up to the bar to get your cards ($5 for 10 cards). You also order food/drinks at the bar.My friends ordered nachos. They were good. Chip to topping ratio was off though. The place looks fun with other various games to play.I will be back for bingo tho. I really enjoyed the host."Oohhhh yyyeeeaaahhhh"“
“The best tacos I've ever had! I tried the Steak with Dark Sauce, Pork in Sauce, and the Tinga de Pollo tacos. I HIGHLY recommend the Tinga and Dark sauce tacos!! Chose to dine in on taco Tuesday and it was pretty cold but the space heaters they had work surprisingly well.10/10 must try this placeVegetarian options: My girlfriend is vegetarian and there's a ton of options. Most places have one or two - here There's 5 different kinds of tacos, not including the other types of food.Kid-friendliness: Nice outdoor area with lots of plants :)Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp for wheelchair access“
“This is one of my favorite places they are so catering to your taste and the food is delicious if you go in and you have a craving for some particular for Mexican food this is the place to go the little but they have a big heart and they serve their food with “
“This place just might be one of my top 5 taco spots. The tortillas on the street and crunchy tacos are perfect, the meat is amazing, the chips are fresh and the salsas are really good. The horchata is also really good. Most of the great tacos Ive had are from taco trucks but this Taqueria might just have the best Ive had yet. I strongly recommend the chicken and asada. 5/5.“
“The food here is excellent! The people are super friendly. The restaurant is very clean. I was doing laundry next door at sunshine laundry and every 10 or 15 minutes or so thelaundromat would fill with a delicious aroma. So when my laundry was done I just had to go and hunt it down. I got there like 3 minutes before 11. And they were still open, kinda, the man was super friendly and welcomed me in. He didn't even mention that they closed at 11. I ordered the Chicken kebab, and he mentioned that there are a few sides that just come with it and some Rice so I got that and and he asked me casually if I was going to be there guest or take it to go which I found very sweet and inviting. So I was like sure I'll eat it here. So it didn't take long for my food to be ready maybe 10-15 minutes and wow this food is AMAZING. Everything was sooooo good. The white sauce is delicious I HAD to ask for extra. The chicken was sooooo good and they gave me a lot too. Rice so good. All of it! Everything got an A+ in my book. But what really got me was how nice they all were. The host told me what everything was and answered all my questions and even tho it was wayyyy past closing they never once rushed me or gave me the side eye. I've never had afghan food before but I definitely will go back. So so good. Oh my. So good. (Says with a mouth full of food)Go eat there. Hurry run!“
“My family came in for a nice easy dining experience and we left with that and so much flavor. This place serves authentic cuisine at reasonable prices in a very chill clean environment. My wife got some veggie tacos, my daughter got a black bean carne asade kids burrito with fresh fruit slices and pineapple mango agua Fresca, and I got the birria taco plate with one extra taco. The food came out with a lovely display. I would have, and should have, taken pictures but the smells were so intoxicating the food did not stand a chance. The dipping of the birria was so good this rainy evening. I will be back and be bringing my appetite. Thank you for a wonderful easy night out.“
“This is my new favorite mexican restaurant. I don't even know where to start so I'll start by saying that I want to eat everything so I will be back many times. The food is amazing. I got the combo platter this time with the tamale and the enchiladas and holy moly, was it amazing. Their hot salsa is actually hot!!! Which is so nice because I never go anywhere and have their "hot" salsa actually be hot! The service was great! There's so many servers and waiters around and they're all willing to help out or grab your waiter for you! It is such a cool, funky little place too! I will be back soon!“
“Love the murals in this establishment! The service was rapid, and the greetings by the person who took the order and gave it to me were friendly. The flavor was outstanding for the food. I purchased two Carne asada burritos to go. I took one all the way back home in Montana for my Mr.- he concurred.“
“Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday, and sadly the place was completely empty. Given the great reviews, I tried it anyway and am glad I did. I had the "Sunny" Burger, and it was fantastic. Cooked perfectly, moist, and flavorful. Best burger I have had in a while. Friendly staff, fast service. Check this place out and do not be afraid to be the only guest.“
“Best chicken zinger burger and wrap in Sacramento. The taste and quantity is wholesome! love zingers and couldn’t find any decent restaurant in the US. That’s all I’ve tried and I can testify it’s not at all disappointing.Small review - Chicken is a little over cooked could be juicier. You can further improve it by adding more flavor of sauce like tandoori mayo!May Allah bless your work??“
“When I say I love this place I mean I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Omg it's so good, service, food and drinks!!! If you happen to be driving by off Northgate do yourself a favor and stop in. They have a patio in back as well! The ambiance is very inviting.“
“I came in during my lunch break just to try a place near by. I am so glad I came in here! I ordered a super breakfast burrito with asada and some salsa verde on the side. The salsa was so good and the burrito was delicious! Also, the customer service was really great. It felt homely and comforting. I would love to come back here again and try new things.“
“This reminded us of a home cooked traditional Mexican dish. We tried a little of everything and nothing disappointed us! Micheladas were amazing! Ceviche de pescado was delicious! Sopes, carnitas, and pollo tacos - all amazing! We plan on heading back very soon and they are on the other side of town - worth the drive!“
“Met a friend here on Friday evening to catch up. We each had yummy Happy Hour food - the quesadilla and the fish tacos - and a delicious cocktail. We ate out on the patio as it was a nice evening and they turned the heater on for us. Zocalo can be counted on for good food, great cocktails and a lovelyatmosphere.“
“Super clean ! When i went the ladies had the dining area immaculate and we're very attentive as we ate. 10/10 would recommend anyone nearby to try the carne asada fries, quesabirria and fish tacos. Super generous portions served as well.“
“Excellent service! We were a bit late for our reservation on Saturday 3/23 and had to be at a show, so I was concerned we wouldn't have enough time to be seated, eat, and pay. The whole crew from the hostess staff, the back of house chefs, and the waiter went out of their way to make our experience pleasant. They didn't know that the dinner and show were a gift for my 15 year old son's birthday, and that they had a part in setting the night on the right foot. The place just seemed to be run well. The food came out hot and we enjoyed each dish, the ambiance is really warm and inviting with cool art, and the prices are reasonable. We'll be back to try some Vegan dishes next time we're in downtown Sacramento!“
“Had the quesabirria taco with consume. SO GOOD! Our waiter was very kind and had a great personality. Went with family members for a "girls lunch" on a Saturday. Very family friendly. One ordered the birria ramen (bomb), another the flautas (just ok), and the last had the shrimp cocktail (yum). We had a great experience and will definitely be back :)Parking: If you miss the entrance, turn the corner and there's plenty in the back of the building.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly“
“WHERE DO ALL THE LOCALS GO? 5th Star for the great tequila selection as we decided on Mexican because our dinner was on National Margarita Day. Those who know me will be saying "That Terry.... Any Excuse for a good adult beverage". And you know what? They are correct. Here is my story: Altos Cantina was selected as it was in good proximity to our hotel and convenient enough for the Sacto folk joining us. Altos is a local establishment; parking plentiful and atmosphere friendly and comfortable. They also have patio dining which would be great in the spring and summer. Service is excellent from the moment you walk in to the Establishment. Now about the food. Be careful not to over order as portions are HUGE. Guacamole made fresh on each order. Tortilla chips are also home made. Be sure to try the double fried french fries nachos. A definite repeat for me next time I'm there.“
“I’ve had barrios kitchen a bunch of times since they opened off of baseline, and the food is Incredible! From the tacos, torta, burritos To the dishes with hot Cheetos! So delicious! We don’t have a lot of authentic Mexican food in west Roseville So I was so excited to try it the first time, and I was very pleased which is why I have been back several times. The location is great and easy to get to and it doesn’t take long for you to get your food! You have to try this place!Parking: There is plenty of space to park in the dirt area around the truck“
“Newly opened. The recipes tasted like they came from Grandma's kitchen . Like comfort food from Heaven. Had the camaron burrito. Fresh ingredients and made with love. Staff is really friendly. TV 's are on for sports, etc. Near Sacramento St and geared to a wide variety of clientele. I'll be back.Vegetarian options: All dishes can be made sans meat“
“Interesting place where you can enjoy the company of friends and others. You sort of forget your surroundings when you step inside. Sample the imported beer or the great selection of food. I've tried many of the menu items and none have left me dissatisfied.Parking: Limited lot spots. Street parking sometimes a couple blocks away.Kid-friendliness: More of an adult location. Not the best for full families.“
“I don’t even know where to start! I was waiting to post my review when I got home to take pictures of my tacos… that didn’t happen because I ate them right away! Their food is so good, closely resembles the ones from Mexico! They have a self serve table with different salsas (which are very good and not watery at all!)“
“I read this place is the best menudo in town and I have to say that they have the menudo I have ever had. The broth has great body and flavor. I have had menudo up and down California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas and this place beats them all.“
“Been here numerous times and have always got great food , I'm very lucky to live close by because they never disappoint. My kids love eating here , daughter loves the shrimp ceviche, I always ho for the fried tilapia or carne asada plate . They are a little pricey but like I said they have a really nice place , always clean! Restrooms are always super clean , dining outside is nice with the heaters over your table ! You wont regret eating at this place . Thanks for keeping this place top notch ?.“
“A lot of reviews nowadays are just fake. But in reality, this place was clean and attractive. The color of the place and the different ingredients in the food made it especially welcome for newcomers who have never tried Birria. The food was good, I had the Qeusotacos and the orange spicy sauce on the side along with a green sauce, both of which were filled with flavor and added that special kick to your food. So if your ever in the mood for some good food that will hit the spot, try La Mini Birrieria.“
“If you like to adventure with your tacos and like a bit of diversity in the flavors, this place is the spot!! The combinations of tacos they mash up are insane like banh mi, pork belly, butter chicken, tuna! And the cocktails are also delicious. I wish they were a bit stronger but it made them super delicious. My absolute favorite taco of all was the pork belly that was a close tie with the banh mi taco. The meat was so tender and flavorful, it was literally dripping down my arm. I loved that they matched the taco bread with the dish like the banh mi was in a softer bread and the tuna was in a lettuce wrap and the butter chicken taco was in a naan bread. They also have exciting new tacos all the time to try, and my personal favorite the “secret taco”. The “secret” taco is a daily rotating taco that has new flavors the chef decided to put together. You don’t know what it is when you order, so it’s a fun gamble. Also there’s chips and salsa come out in tortas not tortilla chips which was different but both salsas were yummy. I’m only not giving it a 5 because the day I took my friend with me here, it was a hot sacramento summer day & their AC broke. We were literally sweating throughout our entire meal it was so hot.“
“This place is so accommodating and sweet. I ordered breakfast burritos for my coworkers and bosses for a birthday celebration. I start at 8am and they open at 8am. The lady said she could have everything ready for us at 8am which they totally did and even packed us silverware. It was so easy and the burritos were so good. We have been a few times after. So far we have ordered the Breakfast Asada and Chorizo burritos, Torta with carnitas and added guacamole, Adobada Tacos, Birria de Res Taco, Chorizo Taco, Enchiladas, and Chicken Taco. Drinks we had the Horchata, Melon, Horchata Limon (together), and Strawberry Lime agua frescas. The agua frescas are so refreshing. The food is bomb. I did not really care for the cafe de olla.“
“Just went to Centro for the first time & liked everything we tried. First of all, the location & atmosphere is nice. The staff was friendly helpful with recommendations. Pre-meal chips & salsa verde were great. I had the chorizo burrito with rice & black beans on the side—all great & made in-house. We tried four different types of tacos. Carne asada & pollo were the two best but they were all super good. No complaints & we will definitely return to try more from the menu!“
“I came with my family for dinner and honestly everything was delicious. Jasmin provided service for us and was excellent at her job. The atmosphere is very nice and very familiar. We rarely go out to eat, but because of Jasmin's service, and the quality of the food, we will return.“
“The people are really nice. I always get the flour tortilla tostada bowl it is one of the best and it costs less here than most places. I like the yellow rice I don't care for the red rice. My daughter always gets a bean and cheese burrito my son gets a bean taco. The fish tacos are really good. I can feed my family dinner here for $50“
“I would argue this is probably the best Mexican food around sacramento. Sometimes a bit pricy and depends on who is cooking, but always above par.I do wish the atmosphere was a bit more "california" you know, beaches surfing, redwoods, etc.. just because is called "California" Burrito, not jalisco burrito :)“
“My first time trying this place in all the years I’ve lived in natomas. It was so delicious! I went Sunday morning right when they open at 8 for Menudo, and it was the best I’ve had in a long time! It definitely reminded me of when my grandma use to make it. The service was fast and everything was fresh and reasonably priced. The kid that took my order was super nice and packed everything up nice to go. This will be my new place to go for menudo on Sundays! They also off we fresh corn tortillas with it, which are really good!“
“Authentic Latin flavors. Great quality. Blessed portions. Humble hospitality. It's been a long time since I've experienced food and service like this. I thought people stopped caring about all these things. But oh my this was blessing to come by. I Also love that the age range of staff is very well ranged. Creating a fresh but traditional tone. I used to be a chef and I would definitely hire these individuals. I will definitely be coming back for more. And thank you so much for giving us real homemade flan and rice pudding. Lot of restaurant sell the store bought and charge up the butt for it. Thank you for being such a blessing. I came in at about 5:40pm on Friday. The crew at the time deserve bragging rights. I can't wait to come back here.“
“I must say I loved this place, the food was very hot and freshly made, I have heard about this place and how good their food is and it did not disappoint, however service was not good, guy at the register seemed overwhelmed with online and App orders and had us wait for 7 minutes, when we were the only customers Dinning in in the Restaurant.“
“There are a lot of trucks outside, which made me curious. Huge carved figures stand outside and invite you to stop by. The restaurant is very large and you can look directly into the kitchen and watch the preparation. I chose something Mexican from the menu. It was only a little spicy, but a huge portion.Parking: There are lots of parking spaces right around it... 100+“
“Stopped into La Venadita for the first time, had a chicken burrito, wet with red sauce and cheese and it was delicious! It’s got that cool brick urban high ceiling vibe to the place, I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu, I recommend you do too!“
“It was great and the place was wonderful, staff were great and kind plus the food tastes Amazing ?. 10/10 would totally recommend getting the asada fries or the crispy tacos they are soooo good! ? The quesabirrias are fire too!!!Vegetarian options: Patatos rise beans pick lettuceParking: Lots of parking spacesKid-friendliness: They have chairs for baby’s to use and they have softer foods for younger kidsWheelchair accessibility: They have it“
“We ordered a drop off taco bar set up for a high school graduation party and were impressed by the quality of the food and the entire process. The carnitas...especially delicious! Nothing but compliments from our guests. They were also very easy to work with, professional and very responsive to questions and order adjustments. The food was dropped off on time and was piping hot. Definitely recommend if you want an easy and delicious catering option!“
“Tried El Chacuaco for the first time today. The atmosphere is welcoming, and very clean. There are plenty of options to choose from on the menu. I chose the chicken enchiladas Mole with rice and beans. The food is hearty, Mole was great the rice was flavourful and the beans prepared as traditional refried beans should be. The staff is very attentive. We can't wait to try again!“
“Just moved to the neighborhood and we LOVE this spot!!! Margaritas are great and fairly priced. Chips and salsa are delicious, as is the guac. Get the chicken street taco platter or the burrito. Patio is lovely. Service is pretty slow but SUPER friendly people working here. We could go here once a week and likely will!“
“First time guest. Superb service, short wait for the food. I had the shredded beef chimichanga and it was delicious. Serving size was generous. Black beans and rice were cooked perfectly and tasted great. I almost finished my plate, just a little bit of food left. Overall a very satisfying experience. I will return with my wife and friends. Thanks a ton!“
“Hands down the BEST home style Mexican food in the region. If you done believe me come try it for yourselves. Great family and consistent. Chile Colorado, chile verde and birria de chivo are my go to's however nothing disappoints. Them hand made tortillas tho!!“
