“The food here is AWESOME!!! Very authentic Mexican food. Saturdays and Sundays are especially good when the are out front cooking up the Menudo, Pozole, and chicharrons fresh for everyone. At this point I've tried almost everything on the menu and I have not been disappointed yet. The staff and owners are VERY friendly and welcoming and very helpful when you don't know what to order. So very glad to have them here in town.“

“I’ve been here four times now! The usual pop up food stand - excellent meat. This one has been here for a few months but now there is another nearby as well. Tacos $3 and rice and beans are $5. They have some unique meat options like tripa and buche and cabeza. They speak English too. You can choose your own toppings and salsa. No tables and chairs to sit on though so I just sit in my car. I’ll keep coming back!“

We decided to give it a try, and the service was excellent—helpful and attentive staff. I sampled four different tacos, all of which were delicious, and the margaritas were fresh and flavorful. Overall, we had a great time, and I’d consider returning to explore more of the menu.“

“I’ve been lucky enough to have seen this taqueria from the first day they opened, in Campbell, Ca. which was the original location prior to moving to the Sacramento area. The food is prepared by a family who pours just the right amount of love into each dish. For me, I fell in love with the food the first day, then I fell in love with the family. Mom, Dad, Sons, and Sister(their daughter always called me brother and I called her sister❤️) all knew me by first name basis. I’d take orders from the business located in our complex and order 10 burritos at a time and always left with a free burrito for myself. I gained over 50lbs eating their food because it was the best around. Over the past 25-30years they’ve been in business, I’ve made the trek to Sacramento to see the family and eat their amazing food multiple times. “Generous portions, perfectly cooked shrimp, and flavors that hit every note, pure magic! This restaurant is my mom's favorite (she and her bestie are regulars), and I was lucky enough to catch them before they left so I could place a to-go order. My go-to test at any Mexican restaurant is the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (garlic butter shrimp), and I was thrilled to see it on the menu here. Ordering takeout is always a gamble since you're not at the restaurant if something isn't right but I believe quality should be consistent whether dining in or taking food to go. Thankfully, this place delivered in every way. The shrimp were succulent, large, not skimpy, and cooked perfectly. The garlic butter was rich and flavorful without being overpowering, and the sautéed onions balanced it all out. Even the refried beans stood out (something many places surprisingly get wrong). The rice was fairly standard...on the drier side but when mixed with the beans and that delicious garlic butter from the shrimp, it turned into a whole new level of flavor. That's how I made my burritos (that's how I eat this plate, I have to wrap it all up in a flour tortilla. Let me tell you, it was absolute magic! Portions were generous, I could tell the meal was thoughtfully prepared, and every bite was pure satisfaction. The only downside was the styrofoam packaging (I'm not a fan of that), but it didn't take away from how incredible the food itself was. This restaurant easily earns my seal of approval. I'll definitely be ordering from here again because when I say the food was amazing with a capital A, I mean it!“

“The Churros outside are amazing! Crispy, fluffy, sweet, savory and delicious 😋. These churros are made right in front of you, fresh and ready to eat. You get your choice of filling which include chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, caramel and cream. We got the caramel filled and cream filled churro, both were delicious but my favorite was the cream. Will be definitely be going back here to try the chocolate and strawberry filled churros next!“

“My family and I have had the most wonderful experiences at Vallejo's. The atmosphere for dining is one of the best. The staff are so kind, and the owners go out of their way to speak to their customers. When my father passed away in 2018, the Vallejo's family surprised us with catering at his funeral. They fed over 500 people, and didn't charge our family one penny for the food. They have also catered for various family functions, including graduation events. The food is amazing and is definitely worth trying.“

“Came to Chevys for Happy Hour and stayed for dinner. Antonio was one of the best servers I’ve had there. He met all of our anticipated needs without asking. The restaurant was busy, but he made you feel you were his only table! This was a direct reflection on management- Manager Dawn was pitching in and assisting all while with a smile on her face. She was attentive, professional, and courteous. Highly recommend Chevys! Ask for Antonio’s section, you won’t be disappointed!“

“Tacos Mi Abuelo in Carmichael is a hidden gem. The tacos are packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and made fresh every time. The meat is tender and the salsas bring everything together.
