“We were just looking for something for a late lunch in the area and did not expect how good this was going to be. The spinach enchiladas were just one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten. Fresh, lovely chewy corn tortillas and super tasty sauce, everything inside (spinach, mushrooms, corn, cheese) cooked perfectly, with great acidic zip from a pile of pickled onions. My sister loved her seafood tacos, which looked seriously loaded and good. The waitress was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive, and she even offered us more black bean dip for the tortilla chips when we praised it (beautiful umami bomb like bacon fat and black bean together at last). This was just what we needed to pick us up. Thank you, Carmelita’s! (One caveat: the bathroom could be cleaner.)“

“It's a hole in the wall, but aren't those always the best places to get amazing tacos?I was referred to this restaurant specifically for the fish tacos and they didn't disappoint. The adobado (similar to an al pastor) was also phenomenal.One other important point to make is that in these times of excessive food prices (really everything prices), you can come here for a reasonably priced, extremely yummy meal. Hard to argue against that!“

“It has been quite a while since I have been to this restaurant, so I was excited to finally sit down and write out a full review of my experience. On the positive side, the entire dining area is remarkably clean and well-kept. My only complaint about the atmosphere is the spatial layout. The tables are set up very close together across the floor, which can make it a bit difficult and awkward to navigate your way back and forth to the salsa bar.

The hospitality was a bright spot, as the staff provided good, attentive service from the moment I walked in. For my main course, I ordered the green chile enchiladas. The dish was a mixed success. Some of the pulled pork utilized in the filling was unfortunately a bit dry. However, despite the minor dryness of the meat, everything else on the plate was exceptionally fresh, well-seasoned, and tasty.

The accompanying sides were also standout components. The Mexican rice was prepared incredibly well and packed a lot of great flavor. Additionally, the black beans topped with melted cheese were a nice, savory addition and were prepared perfectly.

Bottom line: except for the B-tier preparation and texture of the pulled pork, everything else included in the meal was very good. It is a solid spot that I would still recommend for fresh Mexican food.“

“Shout out to The Familia Mexican Food on Sunrise and Cirby. Just opened a couple weeks ago and had dinner there, it was great! Stopped in this morning for breakfast burrito, but I didn't want one of the standard options. I asked for Asada with eggs, whole pinto beans and potatoes with some of their extra spicy red salsa. They were happy to accommodate and IT WAS SO GOOD!!! Quickly becoming one of my new favorite spots!“

“So far I have had a carne asada Torta, both grilled & fried fish tacos (get the fried), carnitas, lengua, cabeza (one of the best ive had), Pollo cocida, and Pollo asada. Everything has been phenomenal. They even have gringo style tacos for my wife from Chicago with lettuce cheese and tomato on a flour tortilla. The vibe is great with upbeat music. Price is similar to other taquirias in the area.“

“I visited last last Thursday with a few of my coworkers. Valeria greeted us right away and brought chips to the table. We knew we wanted to try margaritas, and Valeria was extremely knowledgeable and gave us suggestions. The blackberry margarita that she said was popular was amazing; she made the drinks promptly and was still able to take care of all the other tables around us, who also looked happy and well taken care of. I will definitely be going back!
The only thing I will say, is that it was very warm in the restaurant, and when we mentioned this to our server, they opened the door and it began to feel much more comfortable inside!“

“i have nothing negative to say about this place. thats the crazy part. in a world of so many shitty places that fail basic aspects of being a public establishment, this one has none of that.

just a few details that i love:
-this place is VERY clean. every table is pristine.
-the bathroom situation is perfect. the sink faucet has excellent water pressure, and it isnt too close to the back of the sink (most places are too close and i hate it), the paper towel dispenser (NOT A SHITTY AIR DRYER) uses a proximity sensor but its very well calibrated and always dispenses perfectly (rare), and its also just clean.
-each table has a whole roll of paper towels instead of napkins, I LOVE THIS.
-the music’s lovely. not too loud, and also very relaxing as it doesnt try to put you into any particular mood. perfect for a taqueria.
-has tables in the back corner of the restaurant isolated from everyone else, and theyre right next to the restroom!“

“If we want a giant delicious burrito at any time of day or night, Carolina's is where we come.
It's kind of weird eating in the actual restaurant, but hardly anyone does anyway.

The real magic of Carolina's is the exceptional burritos ordered from your car in the drive-thru.

Their Al Pastor is great.
Their 24 hours a day breakfast burritos are awesome.
Their beans are delicious.
And they are the only Mexican place in our whole area that knows how to actually do custom orders and get it right the first time.

Sometimes, when we are getting into town super late, driving down Douglas toward our house, we get a breakfast burrito here.

And the fact that they are only 200 feet away from Baker Ben's Donuts (another Roseville institution that's open day or night) makes this a double stop if it is past 1 AM and you don't wanna go home but you're really hungry!

“Recommend the chicken quesadilla, with the rice and beans, only reason they dont get a perfect 5 stars is since I feel the rice and beans they could serve a little bit more, rice and beans are cheap items, but the food is good, and plenty of seating and it comes out quickly, good if your looking for something a bit different.“

“This is the dirtiest Chipotle I have entered. Non of the tables was clean as of 3 pm today and the floor is so filthy with food residue because guests just swipe down dirt to seat. And the food is salty. So if you are a low-sodium person. This is not your place to eat. The store manager needs to do better or close altogether.“

“The meat and bean burritos were excellent - just like I rememberd them from working at the 3rd Del Taco opened (Del Panther in Corona CA) in the late 60's. The gals in the kitchen were hustling and I have great admiration for anyone who can work hard and fast in a demanding environment. The only downside was a homeless guy in line that smelled awful, but I felt bad and wished only the best for him. I would stop at this location again.“
