Don't miss these Arbuckle Mexican restaurant gems.
“Went at 9 am during a trip from Fair Oaks to Eureka. We had a cheese quesadilla and chilaquiles that were very good and generous with cheese. Served on ceramic with metal fork and knife, plastic glass for lemonade and cold coke litre bottle with no glass. No chips and salsa served at this sit down cafe, no salsa bar and no house sauces for the table. Requested a red hot sauce that was served and was superior to the bottled hot sauce on the table. The ambiance is flat low ceiling with a few paintings, paper cut outs, lottery cards and photos around. Chairs and tables are rustic and not very comfortable. Could use new paint and some music. Prices are updated from eight to twelve for most plates. New multi page menu provided at seating by a friendly server. Two other tables were occupied. Would stop here again.“
“If you're ever near this small town, I highly recommend El Capi! The food, service, and location was excellent! Everything we order did not disappoint. We had the molcajete, bacon wrap shrimp, langostinos, shrimp in spicy lime sauce was my favorite! The tower too. And let's not forget the micheladas! Loved the service!“
“We had a fantastic experience at this Mexican restaurant! We ordered a total of 35 tacos, and all five flavors were delicious. My personal favorite was the carnitas, while my cousin loved the asada. The flavors were rich and authentic, with each taco bursting with flavor.Aside from the tacos, we also tried the horchata, which was fantastic. It was creamy, refreshing, and the perfect complement to our meal. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was welcoming.“
“The food was tasty, plentiful, and priced well. Only issue was the food was a little cool. The lettuce and sour cream could explain some of it, but my boyfriend's nachos seemed cooler than expected. The nacho sauce wasn't warm enough. It didn't stop us from devouring the asada nachos and asada super burrito. May now be our go to place as we pass through the area each month.“
“We make tamales for Christmas and the La Fortuna is the best best place for all the ingredients that’s needed to make the tamales .Parking: The parking is terrible but this establishment is that best place to get all your products for cooking Mexican food“
“Stopped in around 7pm sunday night. This is a sort of roadside taco shack. There is no indoor seating. The service wasn't super fast but the food was very good. My son had the asada french fry nachos and loved them. My wife had 3 different seafood tacos and loved them. I had a chicken burrito and it was very good too.“
“This place is really good! Maybe the service is lacking, but it’s one girl and maybe the cook in the back, so it’s ok. I ordered Chile Verde super burrito and carnitas tacos. The tacos were delicious! The burrito tasty! My friend ordered asada super burrito and asada tacos. He really enjoyed them. I will be coming back when I’m back in the area working. It’s better than Roberta’s.“
“We stop on our way back from duck hunting every time. My husband gets the lengua super burrito (if it’s not sold out!) and I get the carnitas (light rice). Always fresh and delicious. A little side of green sauce and it’s got the perfect amount of heat.“
