“Growing up in SoCal, burgers are a big part of life. Beyond In-N-Out, there are plenty of great local spots. I remember my neighbor’s burger joint — a highlight of block parties. Fast forward to high school, and Tip Top became a regular spot, especially since I had friends in the area. After all these years, the quality is still just as good. The charbroiled flavor, the creamy thousand island dressing, and those perfectly crispy hot fries — it’s a winning combo. I was nearly done, but a gym date was calling. I asked for a to-go box, and the guy looked a little disappointed. We both laughed and joked, “Skip the gym, finish the meal!“

“This is the first time I have ever been to one of the Bacari locations. This one, in Sherman Oaks, is excellent. My daughter, Lauren, picked this restaurant. I was surprised, because Lauren usually picks out more expensive restaurants.

Bacari is a tapas type restaurant. The prices are reasonable because the portions, and the plates, are small. They recommended ordering three plates per person.

We ordered one plate for each of us and a Margarita pizza to share. The pizza was excellent. I had the Bacari burger. It was amazing. My wife had sea bass, and our daughter had a filet. We all enjoyed our meals.

Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. In this restaurant, they bring out each plate as it's ready. That encourages people to share and socialize.

The restaurant was quite noisy inside. They have a nice little courtyard with outdoor seating. It was slightly less noisy in the outdoor courtyard.

For people who want to lose weight and still have delicious meals, I recommend Bacari Sherman Oaks.“

“Sun Cafe has a wonderful all vegan menu. Their patio is dog friendly (pets too). Service is a little slow when they get busy but food is cooked to order, I believe. Parking is available on the street nearby if the restaurant parking is full.“

“I am not a huge fan of gf food, so I did my best to avoid anything that would have a wheat substitute. I got the southwest bowl. I thought the tofu was really good. The potatoes in it weren’t crispy at all, and the addition of zucchini made it a little watery. Good flavor just not a knock out.“

Everything is absolutely delicious, super healthy, affordable, and fast. It’s such a reliable go-to for plant-based meals.

The Toluca Lake location is especially great. Parking is free and easy, which is a huge plus. It’s right next to Sweetgreen and Something Vegan, so the whole block feels like a little vegan paradise.

I’ve tried a lot of the menu, and while everything is tasty, the bowls are my favorite. They’re flavorful, satisfying, and packed with nutrients.

I also appreciate that they show the calories on the menu—it makes it easy to eat well and stay mindful.

He’s always on point, and the whole vibe is so unique. The names, the decor and all is 1000% one of a kind. “Had such a lovely birthday dinner at this restaurant. It's a hidden gem for sure in Burbank. I had the shrimp scampi, the hubby had the lasagna and our son had a cheese pizza. They were all delish!!! The service and ambiance was great! Our first time but definitely won't be the last!!!“
