“My husband and I moved to the Covina area 6 months ago and have been here probably 20 times. We have tried a lot of sushi places in the LA area and this is one of our favorites. Amazing, fresh sushi at a reasonable price. Friendly service, clean and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!“

Jessie's has mastered the traditional homemade taste and texture of this unique Mexican dish. They are purest using goat, the original meat for this dish. You can tell they have a love and respect for this dish. The meat is tender and packed with flavor. Los Angeles hear me now as I say loud and clear Jessie's Birria is the best Birria in Los Angeles! Although all of Jessie's menu items are delicious I will always go with the Birria. “I have been coming here for a few years and the food never disappoints me! There is plenty of parking, the restaurant is very clean, and their food is always served warm and fresh. This is especially important when it comes to seafood. I highly recommend the shrimp tacos and cocktail de camarón.“

“Delicioussss food made to order by one person!
This is a tiny little hidden gem with amazing empanadas de camaron! (You really cannot leave without trying them.) We shared the langostinos and they were also suuuuper flavorful but you have to watch out for the spice it packs; I really appreciate that they give you the option between mild, medium, and very spicy. The only items I wasn't crazy about were the tostadas de camaron (we got the raw options as well as the cooked); they weren't bad by any means they just do not compare to the other first two dishes we tried. The chips & salsa are a nice tasty bonus.
Darla was our server and she was lovely; she answered allll of the questions we had and gave us a ton of information and recommendations. This is when she told us that her grandma is the one that cooks everything herself.
This is a great spot to catch up or grab a quick bite because it's so small. Last comment, they sell beer and an assortment of fun drinks to accompany your meal.“

The owner and employees are all friendly. Korea seems to be doing well too.
King crab, crayfish, conches, garlic bread, and scallops are all delicious.
I also highly recommend the clam chowder and Modelo Beer.
Oh, the chicken is delicious too. It tastes similar to Kyochon Chicken.“

“First time at Rocamar for a friend's birthday. We didn't have dinner, only sushi, which was fairly good, and drinks. The service wasn't the best I've had. The beers were nice and cold, but the margs were light, made with agave liquor, not tequila. The kj played good, made for a good ambiance and the sound system is really good.“

However the portion was huge and dinner size at $15. I spent more than I wanted for lunch but had a second meal. “Townsent is a hit or a miss. I guess it depends who is manning the kitchen and who is taking your order. Today for lunch the food sucked. I ordered for 2 people, 1000 year pork, crispy fried shrimp, stir fried clams with ginger sauce and Kung Pao scallops. The 1000 year pork was a little chewy, normally it should melt in your mouth. The ginger clams and scallops had no flavor at all, we had to spice it up ourselves. It tasted like it was just boiled in water. The steam rice was soggy and looks like it’s been steamed way too long. The only thing I enjoyed was my hot tea. The waiter never checked on us at his own. We had to whistle him down. Maybe their food and services at night is a better hit. All I know is that I had good dining experience with them in the past. But today. It really sucked!“

“Small little place. Atmosphere was quaint and service was cool. Placed order online. Picked it up and nothing much to it. .. wanted to order rice but they have a 10$ card minimum. Food was fresh and delicious....I was hungry .lol. Shrimp tacos were different. It's like they fried the shrimp similar to chicken and no Pico but cheese and white sauce instead. Ceviche de Cameron was cool. But yes they do use tiny shrimp... and the shrimp quesadilla is where it's at! Would go back again!

“Service was quick. Food was cooked to order. I ordered the two piece fish and chips. Which was two full filets of fish. Fries were frozen but okay. Fish was a little oily but I dabbed with paper napkins to soak up the excess. That and a can of soda was around 11 bucks. Pretty good price for a meal dated May 2025.“

The only down fall is during summer time, it is extremely hot inside as they do not have a/c or fans. I'm eating here with my girlfriend and we're on summer time and I'm literally sweating and dying of how hot it is inside this restaurant . They need to fix their a/c or add fans because you won't be able to enjoy your meal.“

“Yumcha is delicious, but the Drunken Chicken is a bit inferior. Maybe American chicken is not delicious! The bean curd beef balls are slightly salty...others are okay! The main hall was almost full at noon on Tuesday, and business was good….
