“This place was truly impressive, did something I've never done before and went back for lunch the very next day becausewe couldn'tstop talking about the food. The staff was friendly, the sushi was beyond amazing, the prices were reasonable. Especially considering the quality of the fish and clearly expert sushi chefs.

Some of the best rolls were; caterpillar, Mr. Gump, Red Bull, ex-girlfriend (if you like spicy), Naruto (no rice cucumber wrapped), Kuma's special, Into the fire (flaming at your table). The unagi was great, as were bento boxes. My boyfriends spicy chicken was better than my chicken katsu so if your unsure go with spicy chicken. The jalapeño bombs were pretty spicy but so good. I couldn't stop eating them.

I lived in long beach a long time and traveled to major cities a ton for work. I've eaten at a lot of top sushi places and didn't expect to get blown out of the water here. However, it might be tied for the best sushi I've ever had. The excellent service really put it over the top the whole staff was kind, personable, and efficient. Even the hostess and sushi chefs were talkative and enjoyable.“

“Ahi Sushi is easily one of our all-time favorite restaurants and definitely our most frequently visited. We’ve been here on packed Friday nights and on quiet Tuesday afternoons, and every single time, the experience has been nothing short of amazing.

From the spicy edamame appetizer to the complimentary miso soup, every bite is spectacular. What stands out most is the consistency. We’ve been here at least 10 times, and each visit has delivered the same exceptional quality and flavor. That level of consistency is rare and something we truly appreciate.

The service is also unique in the best way. Servers seem to work as a team. You might not have the same person bring your food or check in, but someone is always taking care of you. It’s clear the focus is on making sure the customer is always attended to, and it works beautifully.

Huge shout out to the cooks! Their attention to flavor and quality shows in every dish. And equally important, the cleanliness of both the restaurant and the bathrooms is always top-notch. That says a lot about how the place is run.

Ahi Sushi is one of the best spots in Bakersfield, hands down. Please never change a thing. We will continue coming again, and again, and again. This place has never failed us and truly deserves the title of hidden gem.“

“Food is great and prices are very reasonable compared to eating teppan yaki with the show at a restaurant.. If you liked Akira's off california avenue from years ago before it closed it is the same family that owns this restaurant. Food tastes the same as eating teppan yaki just without the show. Will be going back again.“

“I ordered takeout - 2 rolls, garlic edamame, and gyoza. The rolls were very fillings, and everything was delicious! My only critique is that the Salmon Killer and Volcano rolls could have really used some avocado inside the rolls to boost the flavor. They both had a lot of crab in the center, but it just felt like something was missing. I will say, I completely inhaled the rolls regardless! I would definitely eat here again!“

“This is one of my favorite places to go in town~ They always have the friendliest staff and their food never disappoints! Their new yaki noodles and tazuna rolls are really great. I loved their tazuna roll because I got to build what I like in it, since I always have the hardest time choosing between what roll I want. Their tea is so refreshing to drink! I got the mango black tea and it was definitely the perfect thing to have in today's hot weather. Great place to go for a casual lunch or dinner :) <3“

Parking: Is getting expensive for one plate now for the amount they served parking lot is always hard to find is a big wait 15 minutes or 25 is very good but one time no parking n ,long wait I just went to a sushi place faster n good too I'm just been honest but sarku is bomb“

“What a wild place. The bar stools are torn up, doesn’t look like anything has been replaced or upgraded in about 15 years. They have no spoons because they all got stolen?? With all that said we had a blast! The food was great, our chef was maybe newer? He didn’t have all his tricks down but he was fun and funny. I think he put about 5lbs of butter in our food but it sure did taste good. There were flames all over from the shows so it did get very hot. The servers were beyond nice, true hospitality. I was very surprised at how good everything by was given the first appearance of the restaurant.“
