“Our favorite pizza place in Los Osos or Baywood Park to go to. They have a great local on tap beer selection. Thursday night is trivia night so it can be quite busy.

“Lotus Thai is the best tasting Thai food in town. It is takeout only, and they are consistently quick, reasonably priced, and delicious. People often talk about Noi's Thai food in downtown Los Osos, but in our opinion, Lotus Thai tastes way better! Noi's is simply more known because of its location (it's also closer to where any tourists might hang out). Check out Lotus Thai for where the locals like to go!“

“Do yourself a favor and eat here. A unique menu that you will want to try and replicate at home. I tried the "Morro Melt" breakfast dish, a 1/4 inch thick cut of turkey served on a 1 inch thick blue corn waffle topped with caramelized onion, Havardi cheese (I think) avocado, some type of greens (maybe arugula) and a few other ingredients - delicious!.

I also had one of their special coffees (can't remember the name), but it was similar to bullet-proof coffee with a twist - they added hemp seeds, cinnamon and dates for sweetness. That is a damn good cup of coffee.

The ordering process starts outside where you go to what looks like a take-out window. You place your order and then you are given a number plate. At that point you go inside and sit down. We got there 15 minutes before it opened and within a 1/2 hour the place was full

On holiday and for me, trying to find a good vegan meal is like searching for the Holy Grail!

And boy did the tempeh tacos deliver!

Literally can't get any fresher veggies, which were piled higher that Bishop's peak (locals will appreciate the reference)!

It was 20 minutes of enjoying all the yummy veggies and then was like oh yeah, have discovered the tempeh tacos finally! Not a criticism but just pointing out how big of a serve they give you.

I desperately want to go back but live very far out of town. If I were a local, this eatery would quickly become one of my regular go-to spots!“

“Nice place but... We visited this beautiful restaurant on July 30th For drinks and appetizers. We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely, the food was delicious and the wine very enjoyable. We recognized that we were seated at the table for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours so we continued to order appetizers and dessert while we were enjoying our wine and we also planned on leaving a generous tip. Toward the end of our stay as we were ordering our final glass of wine and dessert and were told by the waitress that she could not serve us anymore alcohol and and it has something to do with the ABC but she could not explain exactly what the issue was. Being in my 60's and never being denied service in my entire life, I was quite taken aback. We were served the dessert but no more alcohol. We paid our bill and walked down the street to another establishment where we continued to have our final glass of wine and watch the sunset and then walk back to the hotel. I'm still baffled by what occurred.“

“We just happened to be staying in town on Valentine’s Day and they had a special set menu. Ohhh so good, we got the scallops, salad and desert. I could literally live on the salad. The risotto was so good! We ate upstairs and it was really cozy with the heaters and the nighttime atmosphere. The bar was lively and fun, our service was a bit slow but everything is so fresh! I can understand it is made to order. My only complaint, I’m so sorry but, I am a spicy Bloody Mary “snob” and the one here was not good at all. But that’s it! We loved everything else. “Well we tried this based upon a search of restaurants in the area and since we went off season we were able to find a nice seat, great view and the food was very good. We will be going again the next time we're in the area. Prices were in the mid-range and what you would expect these days.“
