Even the table bread stood out — warm, incredibly soft, and so fresh it practically melted in your mouth. It set the tone for an amazing meal. We started with the burrata, which was unbelievably creamy and paired beautifully with the tomatoes and seasonings. It was fresh, flavorful, and one of the best burrata plates I've had anywhere. The lasagna with vodka sauce was the highlight of the night. The layers were tender, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the vodka sauce had the ideal balance of richness and flavor without being heavy. You can taste the quality in every bite. The ravioli was just as impressive — perfectly cooked, generously filled, and served with a sauce that complemented it perfectly. Everything tasted homemade, authentic, and crafted with care. The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance was elegant yet comfortable. The staff checked in at the right times and made the experience feel special without being intrusive. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations. L'Opera is officially one of my new favorite Italian restaurants. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for amazing food, great service, and a memorable dining experience“

“Food was delicious! Focaccia with anchovy dip was my fave although the carrots were a close second!

We were walk ins and it almost seemed like they wouldn’t be able to seat us so probably best to make a res on the weekend. Other than that the service was on point and the open kitchen was nice to see the masters at work with such a confident demeanor!

It rolls around with a giant plate of shredded Parmigiano like it’s on a mission to make cheese lovers happy. Iconic behavior.They even have olive oil and balsamic already on the table, which is elite. And the fresh bread? Bro… that stuff was heavenly. I could’ve eaten 10 pieces.Me and my colleague got the spaghetti bolognese and then tiramisu for dessert, and everything slapped. “It’s a modest place in a small strip mall that I’ve been visiting since I was a teenager. Franco’s is a good place to enjoy fine Italian food. I really enjoyed the “Franco’s Special” stuffed chicken breast. Service is great, prices are reasonable. Plenty of free parking too.“

The service wasn't great. Waters and sodas weren't refilled and empty plates sat on the table a long time.
The bread sticks came out cool rather than hot and fresh.
When we needed the waiter he was hard to find.
Then a new waiter took over and the old one never said goodbye.

Though the 2nd waiter wss good. We asked to take the last of our salad home and he just gave us a whole new salad to go. That was very cool.
And the chocolate birthday cake they sent over was outstanding.“

I also just so happen to have a $25 gift card so I ordered myself a little something something for dinner. In my notes I asked if I could have some extra breadsticks because it was my birthday. (Because obviously we know that two breadsticks is never going to cut it.) In addition to giving me four breadsticks, they also wrote happy birthday and drew on my bag! I am visiting Long Beach for a few days and ran into a guy named Tony at church. We got to talking and turns out he is originally from Michigan where I live. Today I went on a run and had already spent my cash at a fishing store. I happened to run past Valentino’s pizza and was surprised to see a familiar face. It was Tony, and he owns the place! We chatted for a while outside and he offered me a free piece of Barbecue pizza! It was some of the tastiest pizza I have ever had, made by the kindest cook in California!“

“We stopped by the Olive Garden in Buena Park for dinner and had a really great experience overall — definitely a 5 out of 5 for me.

The food was awesome. I didn’t really like the chicken gnocchi soup, though — something about the texture just didn’t sit right with me. Not sure what it was exactly, but it didn’t have the same appeal as everything else. That said, the never-ending salad was so good. Super fresh and crisp, and they brought out plenty of it.

Our server was really sweet, even though she accidentally forgot my Dr. Pepper at first. I mentioned it, and she apologized and comped the drink, which I thought was a really thoughtful gesture. Big points for how she handled that!

There was no wait at all when we arrived (just the two of us), and we got seated at a booth right away. It was clean, quiet inside, and honestly a really comfortable vibe. I’d say it’s not necessary to make a reservation, at least based on our visit, but it probably depends on the day since I’m not local.

The parking lot was a little sketchy, especially later in the evening — we heard a couple of people yelling at each other out there, which was kind of unsettling, but once inside, it was calm and welcoming.

We spent about $10 to $20 per person, which felt super fair for the amount of food and service we got.

Overall: great service, great food (minus that one soup), and I’d definitely come back again if I’m in the area.“
