“A good friend and I decided to have dinner here. I have to tell you, since the pandemic, I have slowly been going back to old favorites, and this is one of them. I really looked forward to trying this place again. Would it be the same? Would it be better, or worse? Well I have to say that they did not disappoint. I don't know if I missed coming here or if they just got that much better, but it was good!We definitely got there just in time because once we were seated, the place started getting very busy. The service was great in spite of how busy it got. George was our server and he was very helpful and accomidateing. Needless to say that what we ordered was outstanding.I definitely forgot how much I enjoyed this place. No question on whether or not I'm coming back because that's a big yes.Parking: Plenty of parking. No problem finding a spot.“
“I've been a regular since 2009 and seeing as how I work in the area, it's quick and convenient for me to stop in and get a coffee or breakfast or both. The coffees aren't like Starbucks however they try their best. The area is always clean and the staff is always super friendly and accommodating! Thankful for the customer service!“
“Fantastic! My nephews work here and love it. Their boss is super chill and runs a good business. I love the pizza and crust. Thin for me and lots of cheese. Sorry, I didn't take any at the time, but I will post them later.Parking: It's a smei small parking lot with a good amount of parking.“
“Been buying strawhat pizza since they were located in bellflower. Seriously one of my favorite places to get pizza. They are good for hosting sporting get togethers because they have the large tvs and tables. They also have an area for the kids to hangout and play games. I always get the works it has a bit of all the “
“Frantone’s is a great “Mom & Pop” kinda place. Great Italian “comfort” food! The staff is welcoming and extremely attentive. Our club uses the banquet room for meetings and the place is always set up perfectly! They not only have plates and utensils but coffee, tea and a soft drink fountain! Beer and wine are also available at their bar. I highly recommend stopping by!Parking: Always plenty of spots even though it a shared lot“
“I've always passed by this place at the mall, but I've never tried it until now. There usually isn't a ton of people nearby it, but crepes are definitely different than the other things the mall food court has to offer. I got the Strawberry Banana Crepe with Nutella. I've never had crepes before this so I don't know "good" crepes and "bad" crepes. However, it was an okay crepe. It was interesting to watch them make it. The Caramel Frappe was good. I actually really liked it. It tasted almost like the Caramel Frappe they have at McDonald's. The employees were very nice. I was able to sample the Green Tea Gelato, and it tasted good. I originally came here to try the crepe and frappe, but I would come back to get the Green Tea Gelato!“
“I had super low expectations going into it. I've had Sbarro food before and it is usually pretty mediocre. It's quick and cheap if you are trying to get going with some shopping etc. So, this place is convenient but the food is still pretty subpar. The pizza slices are decent and are probably your best bet. I got a cheese slice, and that wasn't too bad. The Mac and cheese was super runny. The sauce was really thin like watery. It doesn't have cheese or any thick creaminess to it. Some people like the runny cheese sauce though. The baked ziti isn't too bad actually. It had good flavor. Could use some more cheese. But that's pretty good. I also got a strawberry lemonade and that was delicious. It was so refreshing and sweet!“
“Haven't been here in a really long time, thought we would try it again and was pleasantly surprised. Service was great and the food was good. Menu changed a bit and miss some stuff that existed on the menu pre-COVID, but will visit again soon.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan options“
“Quaint and popular spot for the locals. Small and gets busy on weekends, so get there early for a table. Staff is great! Usually get pizza which is good. Our party of 7 had a variety of pasta dishes this time which were just average, but the Italian sub looked really good. You can find parking behind the buildings on the greenbelt.“
“We were warmly greeted upon arrival. They serve delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. You must give it a try. The restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere. They play light music in the background. The dishes are flavorful. The waiter was attentive. The owner checked in with us and thanked us for eating at his restaurant. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.Parking: The restaurant has parking in the back and there's also free street parking.“
“I’ve been here 5+ times now and it is my my favorite Napoli-style pizza in HB. Hands down. It’s light, well balanced and sooo tasty.Unlike many other pizzas that are super loaded and greasy, this is the opposite.Quality ingredients you can ACTUALLY TASTE!Service has been outstanding every time I’ve gone. The one time my order ran late (a take out pizza) due to a weekend dinner rush and a wood fire over naturally taking longer, they gifted me a free second pie for having waited for merely 20 mins.Super delicious, quality and kind service. What more can you ask for? ?♂️And YES, it is cash only, but trust me when I say that if that’s the reason you’re not going, you’re a fool. $3 charge on the ATM they have inside will make no difference to your experience, and you will come away thanking me.Please keep up the great work!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp directly in the front“
“One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Long Beach.Every bite takes me back to Italy. ?Carbonara and Romana Pizza it’s my favorite.Great service and Great staff. Expect to wait if you’re having dining in on a weekend.Worth the wait!“
“This restaurant is in my top 10 favorites with THE REEF and others. This restaurant definitely a five star restaurant, not 4.5. I drove 65 miles/1hr 10 minutes to come here because I heard great things about this restaurant, and what I heard was the truth. We came today on Easter. YELPERS, please reserve weeks ahead. Now the live band was awesome. The food was delicious. I had a great time. They have the main parking, Valet parking was $10 during my visit, they told me they also have extended parking across the street. When I entered, I was greeted at the door by staff. Delaney and the customer service staff were polite, friendly with all smiles. That's what customers love, with excellent customer service. So Delaney got us a table about 10 minutes wait, which was quick. And we got lucky because 4 others reserved, and me and 3 others waited 10 minutes, we got lucky. Customer service gets an A++. Our server was Danielle, she gets an A++. She took us to our table, 4 us if we're late from the other 4. Danielle took our orders, came back 5 times to make sure we were good. She refilled our glasses, and other servers did the same to make sure. I call it TEAM WORK. Now I went back n forth from the band, to the restroom, to my family's other table because we got there late, so I wasn't able to sit in their area. This place was crowded and every server that was moving trays were polite stopped and said "You're first" I've been to other restaurants where servers cut in front of customers. Not Spaghettini, everyone had a smile. This was my first time and I'll drive 65 miles again. By The Way, I used to work in food & beverages, used to work as a waiter at San Manuel Casino. So I know great customer service when I see it. Thank you Delaney and the front counter representatives. Thank you Danielle, Delaney and Thank you Spaghettini. This restaurant gets 5 stars.Parking: Free parking, valet parking and free parking across the street from the restaurant.“
“this place was AMAZING little small but it's a nice little spot. BUT! the food was absolutely delicious probably the best pastrami sandwich I've ever had and the pesto raviolis holy crap to freaking die for the lady at the counter was super nice and helpful and The food came out quick would Recommend all my friends and family and all food love to try immediately thankyou so much to all the staff for and amazing experience and amazing food“
“In the summer of 1975, I was only 14, and already a "Busboy extraordinaire"! My family had just moved from East Los Angeles to Monterey Park, and I started working at the best Italian restaurant on the planet, 'Agostino's'. At first, I thought all the beautiful girls were coming in to see me clear dirty dishes off of dirty tables. I later learned it had something to do with the food. And something to do with the restaurants' proximity to Mark Keppel High School. On top of all that. it was Great pizza at an affordable price. I stayed there charming the clientele for about three years. I met members of the M.P. Police, council members, Mayors, and others. I saw my classmates come in with their families, on dates, and in the banquet room after every major school dance. It was a place where you could go have pizza with friends, and not be embarrassed to run into your parents having a nice dinner. It was the hub of all social life in the San Gabriel Valley. I left the restaurant for college in 1978. In 1980, Agostino ("Gus") and Alicia sold the restaurant and went back to Sicily. I hadn't seen them in almost 50 years. A half century! Well, my fellow Monterey Parklandians (is that even a word?), this past weekend my wife says to me: "Remember your wish to step into 1975 and smell the food at Agostino's again"? She then drove me to this small Italian restaurant in the community of Paramount. Inside ..... were Gus & Alicia. The original owners who gave me my first real job so many years ago. The food was as good OR better than I remembered. Just as fresh too. My wife and I split an antipasto salad, a lasagna, and a pizza. Alicia came over to sit with us, we traded hugs & stories. Alicia is as warm and delightful as I remembered her. We didn't spend too much time with Gus, he was busy. Although I believe Gus is still jealous, because Alicia thinks I'm too handsome. It's a mystery. If you lived in the MP/Alhambra area for any amount of time, you surely enjoyed the authentic Sicilian food from Agostino's. And you'll truly enjoy Gus & Alicia's "Cafe Corleone". I know we'll be going back. CAFE CORLEONE 15337 Paramount Blvd, Paramount, CA (562) 408-6100. Dine-in/Takeout / Delivery“
“Cortinas was amazing, today was my first visit for lunch. I had the Pastrami Sandwich. The guests around me were really enjoying their sandwiches as well. At opening time, 11 AM, the line had about 8 parties waiting to get in and order.I was really delighted as everyone else. I'll go back with the family.“
“It's not the best but very good pizzaFuoco pizza tastes better than the fungi pizza. But if you have a chance to go to the city of the mountain view near San Jose. Try Doppio Zero pizza. And they don't know how to make real cafe Latte. Don't order that.“
“I am a lover of Italian food! Overall the place was good. Everything seemed fresh and had good flavor. We ordered the burrata appetizer, which was decent. I appreciated that they had 2 types of gluten free pasta. They made the other pastas in house. Worth a try if you are craving Italian food and are in the area.“
“Michael provided great service! The food was amazing!!! I posted my receipt so you see the dishes we ordered as well as the price. The portions were large. I recommend you share a dish unless you are super hungry. We both had leftovers. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“A cozy, romantic atmosphere, my family and I had a full table to seat us all.Learning about the menu from our server, we all found exactly what we were craving. Even learned the ingredients used to make our dish. Which was amazing, top-notch services. With our order, we all got some soup or salad. The lasagna I ordered was um um umm. My family all were happy with we order and full ready to enjoy our night.Taking home a large pizza for home.“
“We first dined here in the mid 2000's, the place was a bit small then, when I tasted the sauce (meat sauce/spaghetti), I was shocked to see it literally tasted just like our family's sauce that my mom had taught me to make (we are Italian of course), the food was so good, and I got to meet the original owner and chef, he spoke very broken English, but we discovered we were from the same part of Italy thus, the sauce! After that, we ordered one of their humungous pizzas for a party and it was so awesome! We moved away in 2004, but then I began working in the area in 2018 and went in to find his sons had taken over, and they had expanded by renting the unit next door! I told his son I used to eat there 15 years ago, and he welcomed me back, the pizza was just as great as I remembered, I have since taken friends there and the food is always the very best as well as the service, if I could give this restaurant 25 stars I would.Parking: Located in a strip mall next to a grocery store, but there is always tons of parking.“
“This is a great place to get some Italian food. The inside is comfortable and the lighting is perfect for a date night. The most important thing I would say is to get here early. This place gets full quickly. They open for a limited amount of hours. The service is always great, the wait staff is courteous, patient, and helpful.“
“Wow. I'm so beyond thrilled to have found this tiny little gem! The food is beyond delicious. Take a trip to flavortown and enjoy the ride hahahaha this place is insanely good. I got calamari and some penne russa (I think) with chicken and it came with a salad WHICH WAS ALSO SO DARN DELICIOUS. Everything was delicious. Everything was hot. The man who I believe was the owner gave me theeee best service I could ask for after a long day of work. The place looked so cute and cozy I wish I could've stayed and dined in. Found my new favorite Italian spot in Long Beach!! Thank you so much for the amazing food and service! I will definitely be back“
“One of the best Italian restaurant. One of Orange County’s hidden gem. Delicious Italian food, Good service and beautiful restaurant. We love it!!! I highly recommend them. My favorites are their bread, fettuccini Alfredo and best spaghetti bolognese . They also give you generous proportion. Really must try!!!Vegetarian options: There’s vegetarian choicesKid-friendliness: Kids will love the food“
“I host a dinner for 17 And was extremely happy with the food and how well we were taking care of. Leonard and his team did an outstanding job. Even though we ordered off the menu all at the same time our food arrived promptly. The last person was served only a few minutes after the first person. Ricci's has been of one of her favourite Italian restaurants for many years. Their prices saw both food and wine are very reasonable. There's plenty of free parking in the back.“
“SOLID pasta. Had the parpadelle vodka on my most recent visit but had others in the past and they were all great. I wouldn't mind if the prosciutto with the parpadelle wasnt crispy. The tables are quite small and you have to be ok with dining close quarters. Service was adequate and friendly. Wish they had a couple beers on tap but didnt take away much from the dining experience“
“This place is a gem! Outstanding Italian food and excellent service. The mussels with white sauce were incredibly flavorful and unique. I also had the Fettucini Florentine which was fresh, perfectly balanced and simply delicious. I want to try everything on the menu. Cocktails were also well-balanced and refreshing.“
“AWESOME PIZZA!!!I'm blown away by the quality of your pizza. I ordered the Medium Veggie and boy was I blown away by the quality of the pizza. To start with the dough is hand spun, making it nice and fluffy but not doughy like many others. Crust and undercarriage was crispy not greasy and cooked perfectly. The sauce was perfect balance of tangy and sweet. Plenty of vegetables and perfectly balanced cheese. If you are looking for a great pizza this is definitely the place. I am a tough person to satisfy when it comes to pizza but this place gets two thumbs up! I'll definitely be back. Also the service is friendly. This place is a hidden gem, so many small pizza places are dissappearing because people settle for cheap, disgusting pizza. I am happy to discover this place! Keep up the great job! Good luck!“
“Excellent food and service. We don't usually drive this far for restaurants but any time we're in the neighborhood this is a must stop. Oxtail ragout gnocchi is outstanding. Especially appreciated that chef Giuseppe insisted on replacing our pasta bolognese when I asked for more sauce. The pride he shows in his work is very much appreciated. Be sure to check out the chalk board daily specials. During covid lock down we came often to take his specials home. Well worth the trip.Parking: Parking structure across the street is reasonably priced“
“The food here is fantastic! This is fine dining. Sophisticated dishes. Full bar. This is not a place to if you want a quick bite. This is a dining experience.Great place for birthdays.Perfect for entertaining out of town guests. Every dish is exceptional. The waiters are professional and attentive.I recommend this restaurant.“
“One of my absolute favorite places to go with an incredible menu full of choices from an array of wraps, salads, bowls and classic dishes all great combinations and flavor with a health flare for everyone -gluten free dishes- vegan-vegetarian-dairy free. The "strawberry sensation salad" is my favorite with the house lemonade and I always order their house made black bean hummus dip with chips for $0.54 cents.“
“Thank you to Buon Gusto for the fabulous half trays of spaghetti with meat sauce & cheese stuffed tortellini alfredo! I called them and told them I needed to feed 18+ people for a funeral in Las Vegas. Your advice for reheating was spot on & the best thing was it traveled well & tasted delicious!“
“When I tell you me and my family came here to eat on Friday the 2nd of February 2024 and the food was amazing the service was perfect ?! It gave me a good home feeling like my grandparents house or something similar. The Italian Soda was tasty ?. I had the chicken Alfredo fettuccine, which was amazing creamy and well seasoned. Me and my family will definitely be back. Thank Rufinos?? ?“
“I've been for a long time eating here when it first came. So damn good and the people are amazing. As such I don't live over there anymore but when I did come back with family I went back and the people who work there remember us which seems like family. So w “
“This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves Argentinean cuisine. As a native of Argentina, I was blown away by the quality and authenticity of the dishes. The empanadas were crispy and flavorful, the panqueque con dulce de leche was heavenly, and the pizza with a Quilmes was the perfect combination. I felt like I was back in my home country, enjoying the best food ever. This is a place I will definitely return to and recommend to everyone. Don't miss it!“
“Tucked away in the back corner of a strip mall in Hacienda Heights. This neighborhood gem Italian deli doesn't occupy a large space, but the space feels really efficient with a full service deli on one side and the other side having a place to order sandwiches/ prepared Italian foods with an area to sit. Like most Italian delis I've been to, this place sells a decent variety of market/ dry goods well. The prices here for the foods/ goods are more than reasonable and the overall place has that old school feel or at least the feel that this place has been here for quite a while. Came here on a rec from a coworker. Not sure if I was super hungry at the time, but I walked in greeted by friendly people and delicious smells coming from their hot dishes/ pastas. I ordered the Italian Grinder Sandwich (6 inch or regular size). Again, not sure if I was just particularly hungry at the time, but this sandwich was so fricken great. It had the classic Italian sub flavor profile and I though the bread they used was fantastic. Nice, soft and chewy with a nice firmness/crunch on the outside. The sandwich was more than enough. I actually was really tempted to buy some of the prepared pasta dishes to go for dinner (lasagna or baked rigatoni). Definitely would love to comeback to try some of my other classic fave sandwiches like chicken or eggplant parm. Or their Tuesday Guido sandwich special or pastrami sandwich. Parking was really easy to find because there is a pretty sizable lot relative to the traffic this place gets during the day.“
“We love this place. It’s our favorite italian restaurant for lunch ( more casual) or date night dinner. Amazing food and excellent service. We tried many dishes here and all of them were so tasty and would order again and again. We enjoy Italian food so we tried many restaurants but this one is the best or one of the best in the area.Small, cozy and romantic for dinner.Easy, fast and tasty for lunch.Very reasonably priced and staff is so friendly.“
“This is a great neighborhood gem. The menu is consistent if not adventurous. I've tried most things on the menu. My favorites are the veal Gorgonzola or veal Carciofi, and Braciola Neapolitana, thin sliced beef stuffed and rolled. Before your meal bread is served with a flavorful chimichuri sauce. There is a wine bar for more relaxed dining with music or the more formal restaurant side. The full menu is offered on both sides. The service is outstanding. If you want your “Cheers” moment, they remember your name when you come in.“
“Marri's has been an institution in Long Beach for as long as I can remember. The "graffiti wall" is legendary, and I have memories of eating there a few times as a child. I was "reintroduced" to Marri's when a good friend reminded me of them nearly 30 years ago and my wife and I have been regulars ever since. The staff is always friendly, the portions are generous, and the price is more than reasonable. My wife, and several of our friends have sampled various pasta dishes, and we don't know if they're "authentic", but they're definitely amazong. As a lifelong TMMT fan, I've always been into pizza, and while I'll eat most any pizza -except those Mama Celeste ones made of paper plates and garbage - there are definitely tiers. If Pizza Hut is the equivalent of McDonalds, then Marri's is the pizza equivalent of Ruth's Chris without the price tag, or pretension. The dough isn't a cracker, or Brooklyn thin, but neither is it deep dish thick. A solid "hand-tossed" base that's just flavorful enough without being too much. Where a lotpizza is better the next day because the sauce has had time to age - Marri's sauce is perfect right out of the oven. They're toppings are fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. And, finally, they're marinara is thick, gooey, and generously heaped on top - if you're not an I like some pizza with my cheese person, like me, you won't need to worry about adding extra like you do in most places just to get adequate coverage. If you live in Long Beach, or are just visiting, and you've never been, do yourself a favor - Go see Shelly and Julio for a slice, or 12. And, if you have been there - IKYK ?“
“I am not a food truck fan in general. Maybe two or three times a year I go to one, but it was raining and cold and there was one at the front door so tonight was Food Truck Night, and an overcooked, overpriced burger with too many fries would be just fine.SO WHAT A THRILL TO DISCOVER ITALIA ON THE ROAD instead. The tastiest lasagna I have ever had, with a fresh salad I was too full to eat.The bread and chocolate chip canolis, which I did have time for, were good enough to write about. So I am. Wonderful dinner.Equally important if not more so, ANGELO and SOLENT, the Truck's partners in life and lasagna, were so kind and warm and genuine that my dinner experience soared to really special heightsThey are cover-model captivating, both of them; without a touch of conceit. The food tonight was exceptional, and my experience unparalleled , .in that great way when life occasionally makes the ordinary extraordinaryPeople worth knowing, food worth tasting, and a small business worth supporting. ITALIA ON THE ROAD.Dinner is served (see photo).Buon appetito.“
“This place was delicious!!!The staff were friendly and both of our meals were amazing. The dinner salad that came with the meal i must have again!!! I know...I Said dinner salad but it was ?... It was super fresh and the Bleu Cheese dressing was on point! We will definitely be going back again.Definitely will have the eggplant Parmesan again but will be trying something different next time...“
“I grew up eating here and have never been disappointed. We had to move to AZ after living in Cali for 42 years. Any way my husband went out there and he asked if there was anything I wanted lol I sent him here. So if you are thinking of trying Paul’s do it I promise you won’t regret it.“
“I love their pizza here when they get it right, being consistent when people are spending their hard earned money is critical. Nice looking place with beautiful hanging lights. However, when the cats away, the mice will play. ? Staff can be a HUGE flip flop. Some are sweet, others if owners not around can be not so nice. And the thing is people actually care how they are treated or others around them. So room for improvement. Hope the info. Helps.“
“A small family owned Italian restaurant that serves great food. Our waitress was also great, very attentive and friendly. If your in Whittier, this should be one of your go to restaurants. If your in the area, stop on by, you wont be disappointed.“
“Family owned establishment! Great service and food. Reasonably priced with minimal wait time. If you're in the mood for pizza, pasta, sandwiches, or a salad, this place is worth your time to check out. You will not be disappointed. I will be back.“
“This is the real deal. You will not find a better pizza than Rance's Chicago Pizza. This is also a great place to get pizza if you are keto and just eat the toppings and cheese. They separate easily from the dough. But if you like Chicago style, it's the only place in greater Los Angeles to get true Chicago style pizza.“
“It’s been years since I’ve had Hank’s pizza. I have family in town with kiddos we decided to order from Hanks tonight. They did not disappoint!! Great pizza, Yummy hot subs and pasta. Seeing Arturo after 10+ years made it even better!!“
“I have been going here for years. Pizza is the best in town, the owner and staff are very nice people and it’s worth every penny because they make the most high caliber pizza that is made. There’s no skimping on toppings and the cheese is real cheese! I’m a very loyal customer and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for the best pizza in town!“
“Delicious pizza served at the old Whittier post office. There are non-pizza options available as well. Friendly staff are very helpful. The only downside was not seeing more about the building's previous function. That would be a great addition for out of town visitors. I will definitely be returning when I am in town next!“
“So so glad I got around to trying this place out, the pastas are SO GOOD!! We tried the mentaiko and the squid ink pasta - the flavor profile for both was perfect and the noodles were cooked al dente! The portion size was just right too. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu“
