“The salad bar is pretty fresh and good here. Better than some other locations for sure. This use to be one that had cornbread but haven't seen it in last couple of trips. The fried chicken wings are delicious! Service was great as well. Clam chowder hit and miss but overall good.“

“This is a local small business with great food. Service is what you would expect from a mom and pop spot. When I grabbed a Coke out of the fridge it was super dirty but I was ok switching it for a less dirty one and cleaning it out so I could drink it. Tacos de marlin were absolutely fantastic. I’d definitely come back to try other items. Price is great considering today’s economy. I ate in so they gave me chips and salsa at no cost.“

“Tacos Raul Review
I've been a loyal customer of Tacos Raul for decades! Their tacos are consistently good, and I love their sancocho, a hearty stew that's perfect for a cold day. The horchata is refreshing, but their al pastor is the real star. I usually opt for tacos or burritos, but their tortas are also worth trying. Parking is convenient, and the staff is friendly and mostly Spanish-speaking. Their salsa is a delicious addition to any meal, and I always ask for extra. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food with a long-standing history, Tacos Raul is a must-visit.“

“Incredibly fresh, not greasy, lovely wood detailing in the dining room. Had the chefs filet which was tender and amazingly black pepper with onion. Also the black bean shrimp was fantastic with bell pepper and chili.

“What a delightful meal! We ordered the Honey Garlic Steak and Shrimp as everyone recommended and it was PHENOMENAL and my baby daughter almost finished her Breakfast JR because she was so full and definitely enjoyed it. Everything was fresh, thoughtfully prepared and truly enjoyable. Highly recommend this place and would also recommend more franchises throughout LA.“

“Heritage Restaurant, Long Beach – A Well-Earned Michelin Star by Michael Broderick. In a city where “Californian” culinary ambition often plays second fiddle to casual dining, Heritage in Long Beach has carved out a place of quiet excellence, earning a well-deserved Michelin star. This intimate dining experience is a testament to ingredient-driven, technique-forward cooking, where flavors are both restrained, unpretentious, and deeply expressive. From the first bite, it was clear that Heritage excels at layering textures and flavors in unexpected ways. The meal began with an Amuse Bouche trio: a delicate prawn cracker topped with sweet Dungeness crab, a green leaf with another seafood salad that was to be eaten like a mini street taco, and balanced with the brightness and light crunch of pickled turnip. A seemingly simple couple of bites, but one that foreshadowed the precision and thoughtfulness of the courses to follow. To cleanse the palate, a mint tea infused with palo santo was served—a meditative interlude that was both refreshing and aromatic, setting the stage for the evening’s journey. The first official course, Crème Caviar, featured Russian Sturgeon Heritage Caviar and chive, a chilled preparation that was rich yet elegantly restrained. This was followed by Kanpachi Crudo, presented with carrot, ginger, and macédoine vegetables, offering a balance of clean ocean flavors against bright, vegetal undertones. Then came what I consider the star of the evening: a dish that fully captured the ethos of Heritage—Hen of the Woods Mushroom, topped in a “sunchoke stew” (crispy fried sunchoke) with fermented mushroom. For an additional $25, an indulgent shaving of black truffle took the dish to another level, transforming it into a sensory experience that evoked the deep, earthy satisfaction of foraging. The interplay of umami-rich elements made this course a masterpiece of textural and flavor contrast. The proteins that followed were executed with equal care. First, a perfectly prepared Rainbow Trout, sauted to perfection with a crispy layer of skin on one side, delicate pink flesh on the other, bathed in a delicate dashi and punctuated with bursts of smoked trout roe in a light creme sauce, which lent salinity and depth. Then, a 32-day dry-aged rib chop, a cut that can sometimes lean too “gamey” in the tradiinal steak house that cuts corners on a post aging trim, yet here was a revelation—tender, deeply beefy, but balanced. Accompanying the dish was sous vide endive, black garlic, and a shaving of Parmesan, which surprisingly lacked the usual sharpness, instead presenting a more rounded, delicate, nutty flavor. Desserts were a study in technique and balance. The first, a Grilled Strawberry with strawberry granita and Meyer lemon crème, was bright and refreshing, its layers revealing different expressions of cool and sweetness. Then came the Coco Craquelin, a delicate choux pastry filled with beurre noisette ganache and banana cremeux, meant to be eaten with the hands—a playful and interactive moment in the meal. Finally, a Sage Basque Cake, its subtle herbaceousness complemented by toasted hemp seeds and lemon curd, provided a grounding, crispy finish. Heritage is the kind of restaurant that doesn’t simply chase trends—it refines them into something personal, something intentional. The execution is confident but never showy, and the experience is paced with precision, allowing each dish to tell its own story. This is not just a meal—it’s a quiet, profound meditation on flavor, technique, and the land from which it all comes. Where other restaurant profess to be a true “Californian” style farm to table experience , Heritage is, without a doubt, a must-visit for anyone who seeks out truly exceptional dining in California.“

“My husband and I went to Parker’s Lighthouse for dinner on a Friday night, the first time at this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the great service we received from our waiter and other waiters, no wait for a table, due to ample indoor and outdoor seating available, and the food was great. I wish I could remember our waiter’s name, he was in his 20’s, tall/lean, brunette, great personality, and great service. The only complaint I have is the hostess did not sit us at a great table originally, it took her three times to find a table with some kind of a view, there was plenty of seating options that had a partial or full view.“

“I really miss the vegetarian restaurant Soufflé, but I can get a little taste of it at Sizzler…
This is my personal opinion considering the price and food quality.
It's been a while since I've been there, but I like the atmosphere and the taste is always the same.
Best food very cheap warm and delicious soup Thank you for the kind service of the elderly servers. We go often without worrying about my wallet.
I go about twice a month, and the salad for health is fresh, and the clam chowder soup is especially delicious.“

Then the 5 of us went different directions for our mains, but my Squid Ink Linguini was top notch! Our server this evening was Chase K. He did excellent and we would love to come back here. “Wow! What an incredible meal we had at Liv's. The seafood was so fresh and delicious. We had the shrimp cocktail with a unique fried horseradish sauce, crispy and light calamari, a charred gem wedge salad and a fantastic lobster roll stuffed full of juicy, delicious lobster. Very nice and friendly staff that made the experience all the better. If we lived near by, we'd be back quite often. Thanks, Liv's!“

“Mlem Mlem Crab is a seafood lover's dream come true! My group and I got a mixture of fresh shrimp, crab, mussels, and crawfish in our boil, which suited everyone's tastebuds! The seafood was cooked to perfection and covered in their delicious signature mlem mlem crab and garlic butter sauce. We also added extra items like sweet corn, boiled eggs, sausages, and tender red potatoes which complemented the seafood and sauce beautifully. I appreciated that I could customize every part of the seafood boil from the spice level of the sauce to the individual items in the boil itself, allowing me and my group to tailor the meal to our tastes. On top of the great food, the ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making it an excellent place for a casual dinner with friends. The nautical-themed decor added to the charm and made me feel like I was at a seaside eatery. The service was exceptional as our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and had great recommendations. Overall, I had a great experience at Mlem Mlem and can't wait to come back, sit on their outdoor patio, and enjoy another delicious seafood boil with a group of my friends!“

“I been coming here a few times since they opened.
For the most part the food is very delicious. However, the day I order the Ahi tuna seared was very chewy and the rice was a bit cold.
I typically don’t return food nor complain but I felt it was necessary to post the review to help the cooks. Since it’s a nice piece of fish!!
Furthermore, the location tends to be very busy.
Even though they have once cashier to assist you when ordering. The self ordering system tends to take long since most customers aren’t familiar with the system.
I usually tend to come here during my lunch break but from now on, I will have order ahead due to the lines and my limited time.
I highly recommend the Dynamite Shrimp Bowl or the Mahi Mahi plate.
Nice outdoor patio and very busy parking lot.
Parking: Busy parking lot“

“To be quite honest, the bowls are a great deal for the quality of food and the amount they give you. Washington roll is really good and the miso soup it's more than reasonably priced as well. This is definitely a go to. Off of Telegraph and where Rosemead turns into Lakewood next to the doughnut shop. :p“

“Came here with a group of 4 on a Friday around 530. We were seated and attended to right away. The service was nice and the food was really good. We actually found that going alacart was cheaper then getting a combo on the menu. My mom shared a 1/2 pound of shrimp, 1/2 pound of green muscles, we added corn and sausage and like 2 ordered of garlic bread, plus we each had a margarita and our total was like 60 dollars as opposed to one combo with no drinks, and no garlic bread is like 60 dollars. Anyhow the flavors were so good we tried the butter garlic on the shrimp and the stinken sauce flavor on the muscles and everything was delicious! I recommend this place because it's also really close to (driving close that is) the long Beach exchange/ hanger for some walking around after you are nice and stuffed.“
