“I contacted Misah regarding catering for my birthday party for 30 people. From the very start, Misah and his staff were polite, professional, and friendly. My wife took me to the restaurant for lunch to sample the food a couple of days before the party. Misah was very nice in person as well. The food was freshly prepared and very delicious. All the sides were good as well; the lentil soup, cucumber yogurt, and hummus. He offered us free desserts to sample. Their homemade baklava is so good. When they prepare your catering order, they cook the kabob close to your pickup time so that it is hot and fresh when you get home. They use very good quality containers for transporting the food. Our party guests loved the food so much that we barely had any leftovers for the next day. We will definitely eat at Chelo in the future. It is a small hidden gem in Van Nuys.“
“There were 10 of us looking for a Persian restaurant in the LA area. We called Javan 30 minutes prior to our arrival and they accommodated us immediately. We ordered a great variety of appetizers and meals. They were all delicious. I was the only one who ordered lamb kebob knowing there is a lot of hit and miss when ordering lamb. I cautioned the waiter that if my food wasn't done the way I wanted it, I will return it. A few minutes later, a gentleman came to our table. I am not sure if he were the manager or the owner. But he personally came to me and told me that he uses the best spring rack of lamb and that I won't be disappointed. He told me he would not accept returning of the lamb. But I knew I would return it if it was not up to par. He told me he would personally grill it for me. My rack of lamb kebob was one of the best I've had and I am an avid lamb meat eater. The service was phenomenal. A few servers were standing around at all times just in case we needed something. Most importantly, when the bill arrived, it was accurate. I know that some restaurants take advantage of big groups and over charge people thinking no one will notice. But I always notice. I highly recommend Javan Restaurant.“
“My Persian friend Neda came to visit and wants me to try Persian food. She found Vanak online and we are trying it for the first time. It's located in the El Pollo Loco shopping center. This place looks nice and clean, they got a A grade. It has a nice ambience. I'm sure it looks a lot better in the evening. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The parking was ok. Saied took our order and was very patient and helpful. He wore a great smile and eye contact is a plus We had tons of questions about the food. He explained all about the food so patiently. The price is a bit high but they have good portions. They have such great customer service which is such a plus.. They let us sample a freshly made dessert. Usually with the amount of questions my friend had they would have been annoyed already. They were in the middle of a very big order and still tended to our tiny order. “I had heard about Bread Bros. While back and decided to stop by yesterday! They are specialized in making best Persian bread and pastries! I bought BARBARI (بربری) bread (with Saffron) which I had never had before and it's beyond words! They have a special gift for first time buyers so I picked up roulette (رولت) with chocolate inside that I ate it all right away! The owner Mohsen is very kind and courteous and I highly recommend this place!“

“Hands down the best hookah spot in LA. Their food is phenomenal, and their hookah lasts forever. Great place to come by yourself or with a group. I love this place because the music is not loud at all and it's very relaxing, even on the weekends when it's packed. You can actually have a conversation with the person next to you, unlike other hookah spots. Sina and his staff are amazing and attentive, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. “I've driven past this cafe so many times and didn't even realize that there was a hidden gem there! Came in for lunch and was greeted by a sweet woman who took my order. It's definitely a mom and pops joint so you'll feel right at home immediately. I ordered the chicken shawarma with salad and the chicken didn't disappoint! It was tender and flavorful, just what I needed to satisfy my appetite. I do have to say that it's a small spot so there is no restrooms available for customers but if you're getting your car washed, you can use the one there and walk over.“
“The experience exceeded my expectations. I came in just a few minutes before closing, and the chef came out from behind and kindly took my order for chicken kebab. He offered two versions boneless or with bone I chose with bone and after I already placed my order I decided to add on a chicken Koobideh. He said that would be 20 minutes, so I relaxed and enjoyed the smell of my made to order dinner being cooked. When I saw it prepared, I opened it up with the chef and he gave me a big smile with pride. I told my wife I'm bringing home dinner. I didn't even take a bite until I got back home 60 miles away and we enjoyed every every every everything about it. I recommend Café Aly.“

“This spot is probably one of the best Mediterranean food restaurants I’ve been to.I ordered the salmon with extra salad, no pita, no bread and two skewers of chicken koobideh. The salmon was very tender and flavorful. The ground chicken kabobs were also very delicious and the salad with their house salad dressing was very tangy and matched well with the meats. There is no point in having good food if you don’t provide the items your customers order. Now I have ghorme sabzi with no rice :(Their food is usually good, but today they did not give me the halim I ordered on postmates :( I was looking forward to trying it since not many Persian restaurants serve it. “A kind gentleman waiting for his order to be filled gave us, party of 4, heaps of the bread that was in his togo order. He had spread his heaps of flat breads on the dining tables to air out and " stay crispy " as he explained it. Further, same gentleman got us a menu and kept encouraging us to break bread with him. Eventually our party did munch on his offerings and sat down inside... same gentleman told us service is not the priority of this particular establishment but that the food was good. Got yogurt drinks, which I guess are very similar to Kefir. Funny story, I mistakenly thought Naan Hut served Indian food. “Persian new year is on the 20th but everybody celebrates it at 8 o'clock tonight. So the Persian flag was out all over Westwood. So I decided to go with my best friend Reza to have Persian breakfast. Food was delicious. I really liked the vegetarian Samosas I had this drink, called rosewater, Chia I'm obsessed! I like using rosewater in the morning to wash my face. The first drink did feel a little soapy, but after a minute it was delicious. I love this spot very clean and beautiful . It was good, tasted like a lot of sage in it. Generous portions. We usually have enough leftover for another meal. A friend ordered a salad and it was big. She ate about a quarter of it for lunch. However, Ghorme Sabzi was a bit too sour for my taste, and the packed butter didn't quite meet expectations. Despite these minor hiccups, I'd still recommend this place for its overall great food and wonderful service. The atmosphere is similar to a traditional Persian restaurant in Iran!!“
