“We were blown away with the quality and the freshness of the food. Small unassuming place with extraordinarily nice people and great service. We started with the hamachi crudo and oysters which were both amazing. My wife had a delicious octopus and cauliflower dish as her entree and I had the pasta, which was literally as good as any pasta we've had in Italy. Just amazing !“

“I called ahead to see if it was alright for Drakes to hold a cake for me for a day which I was told was fine. Upon arrival, the hostess made me feel like I was a massive burden informing me that they in fact don't do that but they could be so kind as to do it just this once. They even went as far as to ask who I spoke to like I was making this up. If you're in the business of hospitality and you're going to accommodate me anyways why do you need to make me feel like a burden. I'll probably never ever want to eat there again. Despite the food being great, the hostesses hospitality entirely turned me off of ever staying at Drakes or dining there.“

“Wow! What a gem! If you are looking for outstanding chowder, you have to try Ginochio’s Kitchen. Best chowder we have had in California. The owner is a sweetheart who knows everything about the town of Bodega Bay.
Huge parking lot with lots of spots. Clean restrooms. Food comes out quick and piping hot.
We finally got to try their breakfast burritos and they did not disappoint. Huge and filled with delicious pulled pork.
We will definitely be back soon!“

“My friend and I shared a wine tasting which consisted of three small glasses of tasting size. You get to pick the three wines that you want. Not a huge selection., but works. We decided to eat there and I got the crabcakes which were pretty tasty a spicy sauce on top, and there were bell peppers and with the crabcakes. My friend got salmon with the skin was very crispy which he likes but the inside was too rare and he had to ask them to cook it more. It came back, still a bit too rare, and we fed that to the seagulls….The couscous salad that came with it was the best thing of all. I would not run back there but if you’re hungry and in that exact area, it’s a convenient place to grab a bite to eat. They have a couple of different patios outside, and the staff was very friendly. The one remark my friend said was that if they’re going to leave the salmon that raw like they said they usually do, they should ask people how they like it cooked. He loves sushi, but it was too rare for him being that it was salmon. It was a great day to get away from the high heat of Sonoma. We went from the 90s to the 60s wearing a jacket. He had never gone by the school house from Alford Hitchcock The Birds, so we did that on the way out.“

“I have been going to River’s end restaurant for almost two decades and have always loved the experience. This time, I decided to stay a few days at the new Home collection lodging and the getaway was completely remarkable. I will make sure to come back more often in order to unplug and relax completely in this paradisiacal getaway.“

“I loved the fried chicken sandwich it was a perfect mix of sweet and savory it had a realy unique flavor and crunch 😋 I highly recommend it and the mango cider goes great with it the service was realy friendly I do wish they took orders from the tables only because I like to pay if I invite people and i had company that paid before I noticed oops“

“Super charming resort on the Russian River. Loved the kayaks available to use. Views are great and plenty of places to sit, sip and enjoy. Rooms are updated and clean with very small bathroom in room. Be patient with getting hot water for the shower. It takes a while but is done when it arrives. Restaurant was really good.“

“I just had the best taco of my entire life. It was rabbit sausage with a salsa macha and persimmon. The tortillas were delicious, the sausage was plentiful and juicy, and the salsa macha was the right amount of hot and flavorful. Sooooo good.“

“Very much enjoyed my time at the casino bar and Grill. The bartenders were very kind and Fantabulous at their job. The tamale pie was awesome. Love that it was a place where locals go. I felt like I was back in time when the days were Grandioso.“
