“Thai restaurants are my one of my favorite food, I have this place a try and the BBQ chicken is well served and presented. The flavors are good however the meat was a bit dried. Is hard to find a good Thai restaurant and it’s the reason why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Otherwise the place is very clean and has good customer service.“
“Hidden gem for Thai food. Chicken, shrimp, and pork is on point with its flavors. The beef’s texture is a miss, and could be better. Always good to see that it is busy with customers bc the food speaks for itself. The open kitchen shows how clean the restaurant is.“
“This place is so cute! It reminds me of a hipster joint you would find in LA or Tokyo. They play funky music and offer happy hour everyday 8pm to close and you get $2 off munchies (their version of appetizers or small plates) and $1 off drinks. The food can be pretty spicy. For example, the drunken noodles were like a 7/10 on spice level. The boat noodle soup was loaded with robust flavor. The fried chicken wings appetizer was moist with a sweet and tangy sauce. They offer a variety of drinks from Thai tea to fresh coconut as well as unique desserts! I've been to Thailand and some of the best Thai restaurants in LA and OC and this place ranks among them for their creativity and uniqueness. The service is good and everything came out in good time. Another plus is that they provided eco-friendly to go packaging AND their water is fresh and clean! Didn't taste like tap water! I'd come back to try their other foods but make sure that the spice is not as intense.“
“Every Once in a While the Best Surprise is One You Never Saw Coming! The Bowl & Plate Eatery is Exactly That!!! Driving south on Magnolia Street in Anaheim Sunday, Feb. 25 around 6pm. Just before I reached Ball Road, I remembered there used to be a 'hole-in-the-wall' Italian restaurant tucked into the northeast corner of a little strip mall there. It's been a while so I wasn't sure what I'd find but I made the left turn into the parking lot to explore. No more Italian restaurant (sigh). But in its place I see a quaint looking sign proclaiming the new establishment's name: The Bowl & Plate Eatery. Some quick Internet searching gave sufficient details to convince me to enter...that and my growling stomach! A tasteful and minimalist small dining area offered seating for perhaps 15 guests. Upon my arrival this particular Sunday evening, I was one of three. The owner gestured for me to take a seat, brought over a menu and offered a smile so warm and bright I knew she loved what she was creating here. Seriously, her exuberance was evident in abundance. I'm now even more convinced I made the right choice for this evening's dinner. I won't list the whole menu but I will speak of my selections: - Chicken Vegetable Dumplings - Steak Salad - Choco Roti with Ice Cream Everything is infused with blended Asian flavors. The dumplings were perfectly seared on the bottom, offering a nice crispy-crunch with every bite. Their dipping sauce added just the right amount of 'Zip!' without being overpowering. The steak salad was heaping with fresh leafy greens of several varieties and the steak bites were perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. The Choco Roti with ice cream was a last minute addition and WOW! am I glad I did. Small wedges of delicately toasted flat bread, drizzled with sweet icings and a touch of cinnamon, served with a healthy scoop of vanilla ice cream, also drizzled with icing. A great combination of sweetness and savory to end a fantastic meal. Mind you, The Bowl & Plate Eatery is not staffed by a team of experts, cranking out cookie-cutter meals-o-plenty. No No! It was staffed by the owner of that amazing smile, who also happens to own the restaurant. She handled it all, from greeting and seating, to explaining, order taking, meal preparing and serving. She's even her own busboy! And all of it in a timely, orderly manner. No rushing nor resting. A model of efficiency and a skilled chef t'boot. No need to ask if I will return. I will have to add this to my monthly restaurant sojourn list. The owner said she's been there for 3 years now and I fault myself for not discovering The Bowl & Plate sooner. And please note, this is not the steam-table Asian food take-out style place. This is well-crafted dishes prepared with passion and heaped with love of craft. Yes, you'll pay a bit more for this but with every bite you'll know it is So, SO Worth It! I'm hopeful The Bowl & Plate is well-visited to keep it in business. This level of original and fresh is rare indeed. I'll keep doing my part! Now it's your turn! Get to The Bowl & Plate for lunch or dinner today!“
“Amazing food, reasonably priced and exceptional customer service! What a great spot to eat while out at Disneyland to visit. The place itself is a cute spot. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area! **shrimp panang curry was our favorite dish!“
“This is my 2nd time coming here .The food is made with so much love the flavor is so on point . Waitresses are very pleasant as well . My favorite dishes are the yellow curry , shrimp prawn with Tom yum sauce and the mango sticky rice was soo good the coconut flavor was warm and delicious the mangos were sweet so on point.“
“Hidden Gem!! My friend and I met here for lunch and loved everything about our visit. We got a table outside in the shade and the server came take our orders. The many has a lot of variety and so many things to choose from. We ordered the crab rangoon, the shrimp tempura, and spicy yellow curry. Everything had a lot of flavor and medium curry was not really spicy. The service was great and the prices are fair. We are looking forward to trying other items next time!“
“I really enjoyed eating at Real Thai. The employees were welcoming and I felt like I was eating at home. The food was also amazing; I ordered the Spicy Fried Rice with Medium spice and it was very good. Definitely recommend to friends and family.“
“The yellow curry is so delicious and one of the things I like getting at Thai restaurants. The spice level is mild, maybe I can ask for a bit more spice next time. The portions are generous and the employees are really kind. I'm surprised that it's empty, specially when the food is really good. Good place in la puente for Thai.“
“Solid Thai spot in Cypress! The food was very good and their chili powder is super spicy. If you get the lunch special, it is $2 cheaper and comes with ice cream and salad, but the portion is slightly smaller. The pad see ew was very flavorful, and even though tofu isn't on the menu it is an option for protein.“
“Nice place for Thai Food in Yorba Linda. The price is very reasonable, and the quality and choices of food are great. We visited in grand opening week. The food was already good at the time, but you can guess the teamwork and speed was a bit "young". So we decided to wait a few month and revisit again. The speed of service and teamwork is day and night better, plus the food is still as good if not better.“
“So yummy! The inside is small- it's like 6 tables or so inside but it's cute inside! Our server was Kyle according to the receipt and he was great. 10/10 service. We tried the wonton soup, pad see ew, and drunken noodles with beef. All 3 had great flavor. The soft drinks are cans (which I was fine with, but just a heads up).“
“Happened to be in the neighborhood, so thought we'd give it a try.We ordered green curry, pad krapow and grilled beef "crying tiger."Green curry was good. Pad krapow was the best. It has just the right punch to it; very flavorful. Sadly the grilled beef was chewy and overcooked. It was so overcooked that it tasted more like beef jerky. A big disappointment. We will come back for the pad krapow and will try some other dishes.“
“The ingredients look fresh, but the eggplant stir-fry smelled a bit like fresh food, so I wouldn't recommend it. The pad thai was okay, but the noodles were a bit soggy. The shrimp fried rice served was tasty. The free Thai tea was small, but delicious. Overall, it's good because the price is cheaper than the Anaheim area. The owner seems to be nice and the server is friendly.“
“I always order out and have only tried their Pad Thai , I must say it is the best I had in the area close to our house. I appreciate the fact that they are very honest and upfront about their wait times, just be sure to double check your take out orders for any errors.“
“i never leave reviews on yelp but this was hands down the best thai food i've had in socal! my mom lived in thailand for 6 months and our family has visited thailand multiple times, and we all thought that the food tasted so authentic!!! we got the chicken satay, chicken green curry, tofu pad thai, lad nah beef, and basil kra pao we came at 8pm on a friday night and were the only party here! wanted to share a good word bc they deserve the recognition!!“
“This place is very convenient if you are on the highway and need to stop by somewhere to eat. We ordered the egg rolls, soup, fried rice and noodles, all of them are very delicious. The amount of food isn't a lot but the price is very fair. The Hawaiian fries is the best.“
“The best Thai noddles I ever had! I believe this is the house special noddle soup. The waiter also severed me the sour chilis and chill pastes which I added to my soup . The wontons are filled with pork which is a surprise cuz normally Thai restaurants only put fried wonton wrappers. Definitely come back!“
“The mixed vegetable soup was really good. I loved the flavor of the broth! It was so delicious. The vegetables were fresh. Disappointed in the pineapple fried rice. I got it with tofu. It was heavy on the curry flavor and didn't have raisins. Who makes pineapple fried rice without raisins? You need that sweetness and texture in there to balance out the dish. I didn't like it. Too much curry flavor and not enough sweetness in the dish. Overall, it was alright. I'd go back to try out another entree with tofu.“
“What a surprise! I didn’t realize Tuk Tuk was down the street. I discovered them on Google Maps and ordered chicken pad Thai. It is one of the best pad Thai in town, hands down. The price is right, too! I’ll be ordering from here again for sure.“
“I can't believe that I had never heard of this spot before and can thank Reddit for this amazing find! How often can you find something for under $10 nowadays. While it is cash only, there are so many options available that it totally makes up for it. I came in on a Saturday around 2pm so there wasn't a ton of assortment left (out of eggplant) so I picked the chicken larb, green curry and pork ribs. All of the food was solid and I loved that you can eat different Thai dishes versus when you normally order takeout, you kind of committed to one dish. I loved the portion and the flavors of all the dishes. There are so many grand and go options available too. I will definitely be back again to try other dishes!“
“Authentic Thai dishes and flavors. Family owned for many years second generation manages restaurant. Ordered mee krob, red shrimp curry, orange chicken and black pepper pork. Friendly fast service, my order was complete with sambal chili sauce, perfect steamed rice. Simple clean dining room for dining in. I picked up my order for takeout. Highly recommend“
“This is some if the best Thai food I've EVER HAD. I was blown away. My brother is a professional chef and makes a killer red curry but I'd have to say this one topped it. The tofu was out of this world. The Tom Kah soup was super yummy too. But the star of the show was definitely the sticky mango rice. I had to stop myself from gobbling everything down even after I was full! I don't live in the area but I'm going to definitely drive out of my way to come back! We went on Easter so it was empty so idk what the crowd is normally like. Don't be put off by the lack of good pictures of the food on the menu and windows.“
“Came here today with my husband. He LOVE the chicken massaman curry! and mine was Beef Thai Boat Noodles, recommend to try if you like flavorful taste (they will give you the things to adjust your flavor as you like but the base is also good). Service was lovely!“
“As soon as I walked in I was greeted and seated right away but it took some time to place the order but I understand they are working hard. I love the friendless and options on the menu. Looked this place up and came to a warm and friendly environment. The food was 5/5 for sure! I ordered more with a Thai tea to go! The food was great and I love the homey atmosphere! Loved Mae! she went above and beyond! Had to get her name and update this review! The Thai tea and glass noodles to go!“
“Haiku: Thai Addict Cuisine Bold, spicy flavors I come for the lunch specials Affordable meals. --- I love Thai food and lunch specials (Mon-Fri, 11a-3p), so I naturally gravitated to this restaurant. Lunch special items start at $12.95 (depending on what protein you choose) and come with salad and egg roll. I ordered the Pumpkin Curry and it was a generous portion. I liked how soft and creamy the pumpkin was and the crunch from the bell peppers. I felt the curry was on the sweet side, maybe a bit too sweet. I also ordered the Pad Thai and that was too sweet as well. Just note the dishes are made Medium Spicy, but you can adjust the spice level. I ordered a mild and it was the perfect amount of heat. Service was okay. They were nice, but not as attentive. It was getting busy in the restaurant and we had to flag someone down to take our order, grab to-go boxes, and get our bill. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. The inside has a nice, modern aesthetic and is a good place for large groups. I would come back again though and try their other lunch special menu items. Hopefully their other dishes aren't too sweet.“
“My family and I walked in at around 3:30 so the restaurant was empty. The lady was super attentive and had a cheerful attitude. The coffee there was great but the pho was alright, I can’t complain since the price is the cheapest I have seen for the quantity of food you get. This place is nicely decorated too!Kid-friendliness: Vegetables and herbs can be added separately. If your kid can not use chopsticks, forks are provided.“
“I've eaten there several times over the years and have never had a bad meal. Great spot for dinner but they are so busy at lunch that you may run into problems if you only have an hour break. Not sure if they are kosher but they don't serve pork. Larb and Crispy Rice Salad are both favorites here.“
“After visiting Da Vien for Vietnamese style teas and coffee our appetite was stirring for some Thai food.We wanted to go to another Thai Restaurant down Garden Grove Blvd, however the spot was too small and too packed. We took a little drive further down and found Thai Avenue. The restaurant looked pretty inviting even during lunch hour on a Sunday.Ordered their fish cake appetizer for starters and they were absolutely delicious even though Mom didn't think they would be good for the first try.Next 2 orders of Pad Thai, Pah Kee Mao, and I got the Khao Kai which was amazing to my taste buds and palate. My first try of this amazing flat rice noodle dish and I will get this again for sure.Pah Kee Mao (aka drunken noodles) was also a hit here and if you enjoy this Thai dish, you won't go wrong here. The Pad Thai was a bit too sweet to be honest, I understand different cooks, different locations. I have had so many different styles of Pad Thai and a hint or a dab more of some tamarind and less sugar would have made it.Mom and daughter both didn't like it either. So all in all with the exception of their Pad Thai being too sweet, the Thai Cuisine was a 4 out of 5 stars.Restaurant is clean, organized, friendly & accommodating service. They did a great job here, thank you Thai Avenue.Parking: Plenty of parking, may vary during peak hours.“
“This is a very popular and lively restaurant. I ordered pho and it was delicious. They also served lassi as a complimentary service during the meal, which was a nice touch. The prices are reasonable, making me want to come back multiple times. On the downside, due to the bustling atmosphere, the staff seemed very busy and it took some time to get the bill, which was a bit disappointing.“
“It was my first time coming here. Service was good and quick. The atmosphere had a good vibe. I ordered pad thai on the lunch menu it came out fast. My lunch tasted very good with the flavors of the vegetables, chicken, tofu, and noodles on the plate.“
“Sawadee krup. If you are looking for authentic Thai food, this is the place. Owned and operated by a local Thai family, my wife (Thai), and I have been eating at Jumpa for over 10 years. The staff are nice, the food is well prepared, and their is ample seating if you have a big party. If you have not already done so, give it a try. You will not be disappointed!“
“Nice little place. Great food generous portions and friendly staff. Was invited by family and was not disappointed. Would definitely be on my list of places to go in the area when there. Yummy.Dietary restrictions: Easily accomidated dairy and mostly vegetarian group members without disappointing the meat eaters :)“
“I've been coming here for 30+ years. I used to come so often that they would know me just from my order since I always ordered the same thing. For a brief period I didn't come here because they had changed up their menu and didn't offer Satay Chicken lunch specials anymore. But looks like they recently changed owners and I'm happy to say that the Satay Chicken Lunch and Dinner specials are back. Even better, the satay chicken is even more delicious and juicier than before. Service is great and the new owners are very friendly and welcoming.“
“In a busy strip mall and from the outside, not super exciting, but we had already seen the menu on-line and it looked like the quality and value were pretty solid, The service and cleanliness was A+. Rusty was helpful, prompt and polite. Our orders came out better than we could have hoped for such a small and intimate spot. The Medium spicy is HOT. We were warned and it's exactly what my son wanted. Too hot for Mom! I ordered Crying Tiger and it was fantastic! Tender marinated beef and fluffy soft rice and a bright lime dipping sauce. One of the highlights though was the coconut non-dairy ice cream. Don't miss it! Not overly sweet but such a beautiful end to our meal. We'll be back!“
“Delicious, Fresh, and Clean. Love this spot! I visited when the restaurant first opened and have loved eating at MUNCH ever since. Love that they have brand-name Purell sanitizer in every corner. COVID has no place here.Try their Yellow Curry, which is bomb [dot] com! I order their fried tofu for my protein option and it slaps!!“
“This is the best Thai food both my family has ever had and we love Thai food! We can't get enough of the pad see ew, crab fried rice and papaya salad we literally dream of it.The service is always phenomenal, quick and we have zero complaints. We're so happy to see this place always busy and even with the waitlist we are sat and eating within 10 minutes.“
“I used to attend church in Whittier and my friend recommended a very good Thai restaurant to me. Yesterday, four of us finally visited and it was a truly enjoyable experience. All of the staff were extremely friendly, always smiling, and eager to assist us.The papaya salad was fresh and crunchy, and the fish (I forgot the name) dish was delicious! it quickly became my favorite, as one of the waitresses had recommended it.The green curry was slightly spicy, and suitable for all palates a dish that everyone can enjoy. I absolutely loved it!For dessert, I had ice cream which was amazing. Despite feeling very full, I left the restaurant happy :)The parking area is very spacious and the interior is incredibly nice, cozy, and clean. I will definitely be coming back!“
“Food was fantastic. We had yellow curry with chicken and pad see each with beef...both very good. Added some spice which was perfect. Good spot here in Hillcrest. If you're in the mood for Thai food.. it definitely does not disappoint.“
“Placed a large catering order for a corporate lunch event and the owner was so accommodating to our needs! They opened the kitchen early for us so that I could pick up the food earlier so that it could be ready in time for our corporate event at noon. The food was delicious. Everything was packed nicely. They even provided plenty of forks and napkins. Thank you so much!“
