“It was recommended and was my first time trying this place. No regrets! Food - I ordered a grilled cheese bowl. It comes with 4 pieces of grilled sliced cheese, two types of seasoned rice, hummus and salad. It was a perfect size for me. Salad was crunchy, everything tasted freshly prepared and delicious! Service - I can't ask better! I received friendly, welcoming and perfect service! I'm so glad that I tried this place out. Their prices for catering and use of their banquet hall are the utmost affordable, along with great service and communication during the entire process. Matt the paracel manager, is professional, consistently responsive, and accommodating to whatever needs you may have or desires for customizing your event to ensure a wonderful turnout. The owner, his wife, and the catering staff were all wonderful and provided amazing service throughout the process.We were very grateful to have a tasting of the menu hosted by the owner and his wife some months before our event so that we could tweak the menu as we saw fit. This was important for us and the already delicious food they served during the tasting was executed even better on the day of. What's even more impressive is that they created a delicious separate vegan menu and pushed out some great dishes for both the vegetarians and vegans who attended our event.We had approximately 160 guests and they all had a great time here. But truly, Paracel can comfortably fit up to 400 guests easily. Our guests complimented us on the good food they had, the great energy, good service, and on the upscale ambiance inside.On the day of, I was not able to eat my own food that was placed on our sweetheart table, but the catering staff were gracious enough to box everything for me so that I could enjoy my food on another day. In fact, the catering staff were kind enough to literally box everything for all the tables to give guests food to go as they wished. Our menu was an expansive 9 meal course, all delicious, with plenty of leftovers for everyone.Even towards the end of our big day, after our DJ left, Matt set up his DJ equipment and gave us some extra dancing time along with manning the bar for those who wanted some drinks before closing. Matt even went the extra mile to help us light up and start the sparklers for our guests to go outside.We literally cannot thank everyone at Paracel enough for allowing us to have the most wonderful day of our lives. “I found Bunch of Munchies thru the "too good to go" app! I reserved my "surprise bag" and came to pick up later in the day. To my surprise, I got 2 huge Rice Krispies for $6! Omg what a steal! It's a surprise bag, so they pick what to give you. I brought it back to work and shared with my coworkers. It was a great mid-day snack! Yummy! I recommend checking out the app to see what other local shops are around and/or seeing if Bunch of Munchies is on there to try out their Rice Krispies! “SOOO good! The catering team showed up exactly on time, in a clean and clearly marked van. They were very friendly, and their equipment was immaculately clean. They set up quickly with an impressive spread. The Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Carnitas were maybe the best I've ever had. Certainly in the top 5. They also set up for cheese quesadillas, 3 types of salsa, beans, rice, onion, cilantro, limes, and tortilla chips. The set up was classy with a nice table top cover and stoneware dishes. They included all flatware, plates, and napkins. They were professional but personable as well. Chatting happily with any guests that engaged them. At end of day they packed up the leftovers neatly for us, and didn't attempt to pack up early. They waited for the allotted time, and then some before packing up. Giving all of our guests ample time for one more serving. I wish I had taken pictures because it was so nice and professional. I hope I get to use their service again soon because I loved them so much!“

“Okay Stacey exceeded all expectations with her charcuterie cups for our event She really is so talented and has an eye to make things that are both beautiful and delicious. People were so sad to even dive in because they were so pretty! Not only were the cups hand crafted and unique with items like sealed crackers, honey sticks, etc, she even included darling pearls and baby's breath for decor that just sent it over the top! Definitely check her out for any of your entertaining needs. She can do anything from single serve cups to GIANT grazing boards. She will customize it to your liking if you tell her what you like/don't like and she even does fun BRUNCH boards!! Can't wait for our next event!!!“
“I can't say enough about Frank mad Franks Tacos! We had a family event in early July. Due to COVID concerns we held outside and placed a a lot of emphasis on social distancing protocols. Frank worked with us not only on menu but how the food was served . Nothing communal. Appetizers were individually plated etc. The food was amazing!! “I'm not sure I can add anything to the already amazing reviews below, but I'll sure try! I had a group of 30 people coming from out of town that needed dinner every night for a week straight, and finding a caterer that could provide different meals each night for that number of people was a challenge. When I found Melrose Catering online and reached out, Stephen was very quick to respond and provide me with a large amount of options for each night. Through working with him and his team, we were able to curate a vastly unique menu for each night while also catering to a few gluten-free and vegetarian members of my group. Throughout the week, some of the items we had for dinner were: orange ginger salmon, fried chicken & waffles, korean short ribs, chicken empanadas, paella, flat iron steaks, salmon picatta, and tri-tip. NONE of these items disappointed in the slightest! There was not any food item all week that anybody disliked, and nobody had a single bad word to say. To the contrary, everyone in my group (myself included) was incredibly impressed by dinner every single night. I was expecting to not enjoy at least one side or dessert item, but there was truly nothing even mediocre the entire week. Each item, whether it was a main dish, side/appetizer, or dessert, was full of flavor, served very hot, and cooked perfectly! In terms of communication, Stephen and his team made us feel like we were the only group that mattered, although I know they had different orders during our week of catering. Stephen responded to my (very many) texts/emails/calls incredibly quickly, and delivery was perfectly executed every night. Overall, I could not recommend Melrose Catering any more for whichever event you may have!“
“TMTC catered my event 2/25/24. The response and customer service from when reached out to when they came onsite was above and beyond. They answered every question and were very accommodating and kind when I had changes to be made to my menu. Over the phone/online service was always friendly. I had a lot of changes with my menu requests and guest count and every time I reached out to make those changes they never made me feel like I was asking too much. The food was great. “I helped set up the event center for a quince. Ms. Roberta was there every step of the way, making sure we had everything we needed. She loan us her cart and kept checking on us. The venue is beautiful. There is plenty of room for the dance floor and photo booth. The parking lot isn't very big but plenty of room on the side street. If you are looking for a nice and clean venue with wonderful and hard working staff, Azar Event Center is a perfect location.“

“My husband and I had our wedding at Hangar 21 South - a Jay's Catering venue and the food was phenomenal! Their menu selection is quite wide. They have different menu's to cater for different flavors such as a Latin, American, etc. And they do either plated or buffet style!We did buffet style and did their American BBQ wedding. For the appetizers we did mini corn dogs and gorgonzola and caramelized onion bruschetta. For our entrees we did BBQ chicken, beef brisket and a tri-tip carvery, and for the accompaniments we did mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, cesar salad and corn bread with honey butter. The tri-tip carvery was really nice because someone was hand carving tri-tip. Our wedding was almost 3 weeks ago and people are still talking about how good the food was!The bar was also of course a hit! The bar package we chose has the bar open from cocktail hour to an hour before the event ends and although our guests didn't pay for their drinks it wasn't technically "unlimited" because they could run out of certain things. But nonetheless, they ask you in advance if there are certain drinks you would need to have heavier stocked if you know your guests have a preference. And their signature drinks are delicious too! They offer tastings at part of the package, I suggest going to them!Working with outside vendors - I highly suggest selecting from their list of preferred vendors when looking into wedding coordinators, dance floors and lighting and stuff. These are companies that have worked with their venue before and will know what they're doing for set up :) We did want to use a different lighting company but they said for liability purposes, they couldn't use lighting companies they weren't already contracted with. :( It ended up working out though because we ended up doing very simple lighting and it came out amazing. For wedding coordinators, I highly suggest Heidi Hou with The Fete Collective. She has an incredible team and they go above and beyond to execute your day. My husband and I felt so taken care of. We felt like we didn't even have to think because she handled absolutely everything, and STILL made sure we had drinks and appetizers during cocktail hour while we were taking pictures, AND had food waiting for us at our table. She is amazing at what she does, and you can tell she loves it.Our event coordinator, Casey, was amazing! She was very responsive to all our questions. And after our venue visit, they drafted a contract to show how much the grand total would be with the details we chose according to our headcount so we wouldn't be blindsided by pricing. They give you a complimentary 2 week soft hold while you make your decision and Casey made herself available during this time to answer all questions and make any additional changes for me. She responded very quickly and she kept me on track for all my deadlines. I highly suggest working with her :)“

Not only did they provide delicious Authentic " Elevated" Puerto Rican Food but we used their party decorators which completely understood the assignment and everything was flawless and beautiful. “Yesterday we tried Tacos El Panzas, we had the carne asada, tripa, cecina, al pastor, chorizo and chori queso tacos. I loved how the tortillas were crunchy with the grease of the meat. All the tacos were good with the exception of the chorizo and tripa, I felt it was missing something. The chori queso was good the cheese gave the chorizo that extra flavor. The green salsa was the bomb . The reason I give it the is the tripa and chorizo tacos. They were missing something. Other than that the other tacos were yummy“

I own an event planning company and we provide a cake or dessert station in our All Inclusive Packages at Red Horse Barn in Huntington Beach. Much to my disappointment a bakery in Long Beach (no name necessary) I had used for years, let me down just days prior to an event.
