“The food and service was very good. Sweaty and the crew are great. Ordered Bademjan and Falafel for appetizers. For our entrees we had Rack of lamb and Mansaf. The portions are very generous. To end the meal we had Baklava M'hallabiah with Turkish coffee.“

“Truth be told I would rate it 4.6 stars cause it’s pricey, but with anything you order they give you a very generous amount of food and a balanced healthy and good meal. I felt like I had to write a review because the customer service was fire. I ordered, they gave me complimentary pita bread for the Muhammara I ordered in addition to my kebab plate which came with a good portion of chicken, vegetables, rice, and hummus. Also gave me Turkish coffee and then extra sauce while I was waiting for no extra charge. Customer service was on top. Especially that dude Shaheen who took my order he did all that stuff I’m talking abt and was so nice the whole way through and answered every question no problem they gotta give that man a raise he doing a great job he bringing in business. They had some jazz playing in the background so the atmosphere was vibey. Overall great experience despite the price.“

“The chicken gyro bowl here was super good. The food came out really fast and the fries were super fresh. Everything in the bowl was really good, fresh ingredients, and hot. It was the perfect amount of food and the packaging was so cute. We had a miscommunication about the student discount, but the owner reached out to me and was super kind about it. This place is owned by good people and has amazing food! I highly recommend :)“

“My first time here. Got a bowl with lamb and beef shwarma and added some veggies. Wow. I thought it might be small portions, too much greens or rice. Nope. It was really nicely balanced with plenty of meat. I really enjoyed this and it was VERY filling. My wife could only est half of hers. Delicious and reasonably priced too! We'll be back!!!!!!“

“Went and had lunch the other day after my visit with Kaiser and I really enjoyed my lunch. I was attended by the manager, I believe her name is Leana. She was really cool and was very helpful with the menu. Definitely made my experience a lot more enjoyable. The food is delicious and have never had a negative experience with it.“

“Good but -1 star for the hours. Every time I actually want quesabirria tacos, they're closed. They close during the prime dinner time, which is unfortunate. I always end up ordering my quesabirria tacos from elsewhere.

Besides their quesabirria, I really like their orange and green salsas. It's just the right amount of heat in each.“

“The atmosphere was great and the service was friendly, but the food was far too greasy for my taste. There was literally a layer of melted butter sitting on top of the meat, which made it feel unnecessarily heavy and masked the flavor. With less butter and grease, the food would be much better.“

“East Bay Express has an article about this place! Excellent Afghan cuisine in the heart of Oakland. THE BEST Mantu I have ever had ( home made). Must try the Chami kebab plate!!! The spicy and savory sauces add to a perfect meal. Family friendly and has an authentic Afghan seating area as well. The owner was so kind and the server provided great service. “Nick the Greek is always a spot that's fairly consistent across all of their locations (at least the ones I've been to). It was nice to be greeted when I walked in and the cashier had welcomed me in with a smile. It's been a while since someone welcomed me or my friends into a restaurant with a smile, so this was appreciated. This location also had plenty of seats and since I went during lunch, I could really sit anywhere.“

I was looking for a venue for my post wedding party, with ample parking and close to my friends. She put my vision into life! This place is very intimate, definitely made for 50 guests.
Tina has been very responsive, kind and passionate about what she does. I love how she gives back to the community and making us feel like home. I definitely would book again for a future event. “I recently visited the Fremont location and had an excellent experience. I ordered a gyro, opting for both the lamb and the pork belly, and the food was fantastic. The service was incredibly fast, and the restaurant itself was kept spotlessly clean. The portions are also very large .

It’s highly convenient with great parking and late operating hours. Easily a five-star experience!“

“I will say, this food changed my life! I had never had Afghani food before and this was such a good introduction to the food! I loved everything I ate. What I don't like so much is that is that it's cash only and the plates are quite pricey. When we handed over the cash we didn't get the remainder back- he just automatically took what was left over and put it in the tip jar with out asking. I was going to take my change (some dollars and coins?) and leave a bigger tip but since they just kept it with out asking we just left it at that.“
