I felt like I had to write a review because the customer service was fire. I ordered, they gave me complimentary pita bread for the Muhammara I ordered in addition to my kebab plate which came with a good portion of chicken, vegetables, rice, and hummus. Also gave me Turkish coffee and then extra sauce while I was waiting for no extra charge. Customer service was on top. “We've lived in Livermore since 2005. Every restaurant in this location has always been excellent, and Calamari seems to have not just matched -- but surpassed all of its predecessors.

All of their bread is baked fresh daily on the premises. I can't have gluten, but I deeply appreciate fresh-baked awesomeness for anyone I bring who *can* enjoy the gluntenisian delights. The spread / dip that comes with the bread is so delicious that I would eat it on just about anything.

(Yes, even that. And yes, I know what you're thinking. Pervert.)

They have many gluten-free options, and everything is incredibly delicious. Grilled octopus was our appetizer of choice, and holy cephalopod, Batman! Nummy nummies in our tummies!

I ordered the salmon, and I've never had better. Milady had the Beef Manti -- and I was desperately jealous for a bite, but it's a dumpling made with wheat. Those of you who have no gluten issues (and consume le beeves) will have a great time with this dish.

We went with a bottle of the legendary Yakut (13.5 ABV), and it was lovely. Next time we'll try one of the other Turkish wines on offer, because this is a region we have yet to explore.

Dessert was the rice pudding (perfection), will the Turkish coffee at a 20 year old Tawny port.

The ambiance is absolutely beautiful; you genuinely feel like you've been transported to a seaside restaurant in Bodrum.Every single dish we tried—from the artichoke and babaganoush to the Adana kebab, lahmacun, and 'lokum' (tender beef)—was perfection. “My first time here. Got a bowl with lamb and beef shwarma and added some veggies. Wow. I thought it might be small portions, too much greens or rice. Nope. It was really nicely balanced with plenty of meat. I really enjoyed this and it was VERY filling. My wife could only est half of hers. Delicious and reasonably priced too! We'll be back!!!!!!“

“The atmosphere was great and the service was friendly, but the food was far too greasy for my taste. There was literally a layer of melted butter sitting on top of the meat, which made it feel unnecessarily heavy and masked the flavor. With less butter and grease, the food would be much better.“

“I will say, this food changed my life! I had never had Afghani food before and this was such a good introduction to the food! I loved everything I ate. What I don't like so much is that is that it's cash only and the plates are quite pricey. When we handed over the cash we didn't get the remainder back- he just automatically took what was left over and put it in the tip jar with out asking. I was going to take my change (some dollars and coins?) and leave a bigger tip but since they just kept it with out asking we just left it at that.“
