“Loved it! Great atmosphere with friendly Host/owner. Menudo was really good, you have the option if you want hominy and even "pata". It came with all the fixing and hit the spot. My wife had banana pancakes and she loved them. We will recommend and return on our next trip.“

“If you are one of the unfortunates who have not discovered Bayside Cafe, you are missing out on an amazing opportunity. Everything at Bayside is exceptional! Friendly service, lovely view of the bay, and always fresh fish on the menu!! My favorite is their fish tacos. Yummy!!“

“First time for me and I was very pleased with the service and food. I arrived on a cold rainy winter night and in need of warm soup to relieve my cold symptoms. The server suggested the fish soup. I was a bit reluctant because fish isn't my first choice at a Mexican restaurant; my preference is chile relleno. Their fish soup is superb, filled with shrimp, chunks of fish, carrots, onions, zucchini, and cubes of potatoes. It hit the spot! Fresh lime slices, onions, dried chilis, and cilantro are served on a side plate. A choice of either corn or flour tortillas are offered. The salsa is spicy and the horchata is really sweet (not watered down). It's not surprising that this local restaurant in Morro Bay has an excellent fish dish. I'll definitely come back for the chile rellenos, fajitas, and other specialties.“

“ALWAYS GOOD!All their options are very good, their burritos, taquitos, nachos, tacos and this time I ordered the salad and it did not disappoint! Also, they have a secret menu option: tostada. Some times they have specials like pozole. It’s a food truck, so only take out. It looks super clean inside. People who runs it are very nice and kind.Service is super fast!“

“La Palapa is an excellent Mexican Restaurant situated near the pier in quaint Baywood Park. They make their own tortillas and serve them freshly warm. They have a great variety of dishes including a nice selection of local seafood. Their vegetarian enchiladas with mole sauce (not on the menu) are incredible! They don't charge extra for the house made chips and salsa that start off the meal. All the entrees I have sampled there have been good or better. The ambiance of the place is colorful Mexican with local artist (like John Ramos) works on the walls. The service is efficient and friendly. La Palapa is our regular local spot for an affordable and tasty dinner in a warm and comfortable restaurant. This place is a gem.“
“Hands down the best Mexican food in town. Nicest people work in there. I haven’t had a bad thing from here in 5 years ever since they opened. The tacos, burritos, breakfast burritos, hot sauces, the meat counter, the list goes on and on. I’m always satisfied and can’t wait until I get hungry again so I can go back in and get some more food. Thank you so much San Miguel Market! You guys are awesome!“
“We came here for lunch. I had the Cubano sandwich was super filling. Hubby had the home made Menudo with corn tortillas. Chunks of bones in the broth, very savory, one of the best Menudo soups we've had in the area. Outdoor and indoor seating. They had a large variety of popsicles which we didn't try. I would consider getting the menudo when we come another time. Service was good, friendly.“

“Santiago and Pedro are super nice and always make sure my order is just right. The pastor and asada is so good and not too dry or too fatty like I’ve experienced at other places. Prices are so cheap and you get a ton of meat. And they put grilled pineapple on the pastor tacos which I love!“

“We've been meaning to stop into Federico's ever since they took over the space from Three Stacks...a place we loved (and continue to love) which is now at the Embarcadero. We weren't sure how this restaurant would do in the space and feel that the location is pretty poor (IMO) for a restaurant. Boy are we glad we finally got around to going and hope that they do well and flourish. Here is what we noticed:- You order at the counter, and they bring you food to your table based on your number. The menu is extensive and, while we weren't drinking that night (since we had just come from Three Stacks), there is a good selection of beers and wines.- There is a good mix of high top (which we prefer) and regular tables, as well as outdoor seating. A heater or two outside would be nice for them to consider.- We started with the Guac and Chips...loved it! The Guac was different than usual...seemed to have more cilantro taste, which was a pleasant change from most places.- I ordered the Soft Shell Crab tacos, and they came with a side of beans and white rice. I had agreed to share meals with my wife and almost regretted it, because I really could have devoured the tacos myself they were so good. I found the white rice an odd choice at first until the sauce from the tacos dripped into it...wow! The beans were great too...not your routine pinto beans.- My wife got the Chili Relleno meal, which was really good too. It came with homemade tortillas and the traditional rice and beans, but both were really great too!Bottom line: We used to go to Taco Temple and they're still good, but this food is in a different league. We'll definitely be back!“

“Chile relleno and special enchilada sauce are so delicious. Flauta was crispy. Tried the Los Osos location this time. Same great food as their primary location. Service was good too. Decor is nice and very clean. We are local and will return.“

“It’s 25 years young! I come here for the amazing fresh wild fish salads that masquerade as tacos. Super generous portions. Carnitas platter is also amazing and enough for 2. Desserts are tasty and huge. I can make 1 piece of the yummy carrot cake last 3 desserts.North side patio on a 60 degree or above day is super comfortable and chill. Room for dogs and kids to be themselves.Vegetarian options: Burritos and enchiladas are good veggie options.“

“The service was great! Liz's suggestions were followed. On this visit my son had the Asada burrito and I had Tacos GRANDES. Both were delicious and served on really hot plates, which added something that i can't quite articulate but like. It put the hot in hot meal I supposed.“

“Love this place!!!! There were 9 people in our party, they fully accommodated us and were seriously the nicest people!!! Although it seems weird to have Mexican and Italian food…..it was the best!!! We had 2 different types of enchiladas, pizza, chicken fajitas, chile rellano, penne pasta with meatballs, quesadillas of a few different types, salad, enchilada soup……I’m serious folks was good and better than any meal we had in Cayucos for 6 days!! I highly recommend going here and don’t judge by the 2 different foods types……you have to try it!!!“
