“I went to this Panda Express a couple of days ago. The food that I order was a chicken and mushroom with double chow mein it wasn't that good. But the prices are fair. And the staff are very friendly, helpful, nice, and professional. It was very busy on the day that I went but it went by fast.“

“First time here with my family. We were a party of 9. They greeted & seated us quickly. We ordered the egg rolls, spring rolls, & wontons Some of us ordered combos & others shared plates that were chow mein & sweet and sour chicken. Everything came out at the same time. “Okay so right when Jimmy's sushi took over the last Chinese food spot I decided to give it a shot ! & It was SO worth it ! The employees are awesome ( I believe it's father & son) they have FRESH ingredients & their hand rolls are top tier , but what really got me were their prices ! They have GREAT prices for quality sushi ! I've gotten the pleasure of trying their spicy tuna hand roll & the crispy tempura roll , both AMAZING! I really am so happy Modesto had a great sushi spot on this side of town ! I say absolutely give this place a shot ! You will not be disappointed 👍“

“I've been dining at grand Asia since 2018 and I absolutely love it! The owners have always been pleasant, and the food has never disappointed me. I actually eat her at least twice per month. Have previously reviewed on yelp and decided to do also on google!
My favorite dish of all has been the kung pow chicken! It's always been fresh and cooked to my liking.
The prices are competitive yet affordable and the portions are generous.“

“Been coming here since i was a kid, i remember my parents getting off work and taking me here to buy food. Local business thats been around for YEARS! freshness made to order & quality. I also enjoy knowing its a family owned business and ive seen the family grow over the years of me being a customer. If you want real chicken and real food this is the place to come. expect REAL FOOD. And not perfectly shaped orange chicken pieces. The flavor of the food is perfect & the orange chicken & chow mein taste good!! even my 2 year old daughter eats it!! portions are big and essentially you are paying for quality.
Highly recommend this is the best chinese food in Riverbank. Id drive 30 mins to come here any day. Family is very friendly & love the atmosphere inside!! 10/10 recommendation“

“We LOVE coming to Hughson Asian Kitchen for their Sushi offerings.
Highly recommend the Vegetable Tempura (huge portion, 13 pieces), and the Dream Girl roll, Hulk roll, Warrior roll, and Scallop Roll.
(Going to try the Gorilla Roll next time🤗)

We will visit this restaurant again and again for the Sushi rolls mentioned above (and pictured below)!😋

Note: in our opinion, The Spider-Man roll and Lion King roll weren’t bad, but didn’t rise to the excellent level of the other rolls. Also, their Chinese food wasn’t our favorite, but wasn’t terrible.“

“I ordered the orange chicken, pork chow mein, and pork fried rice with a eggroll. It was very delicious, the orange chicken was cooked perfectly, it had a very nice crust, not too oily and the chicken inside was moist and delicious. The pork chow mein noodles were cooked very good, done just the way it should be. Seasoned very good, and not mushy at all. The rice was normal, yet still delicious. The eggroll was normal. Over all it was a very decent meal and I enjoyed it. It smelled clean and looked clean, I will definitely be coming back and I encourage you to give this spot a try. You want be disappointed!“

“We were a group of nine. First time I have ever seen where they add the tip and give you your final receipt without a line to mistakenly add another tip if you forgot to check! I only recently started looking for an added tip after getting burned at another restaurant. Now I make sure to check. I love their honesty!“

“Stop complaining about small portions, the prices reflect the portions. Don’t expect a load of food for a cheap price. This place tastes very good the fried shrimp was excellent and the pork noodle soup was very tasty as well! A very good and rare meal for this truck driver! :)“

“Don't know about the food, haven't tried it yet. The menu prices are not accurate, everything is $2-3 higher than listed. All receipts are tallied on a calculator, with no detail as to what was ordered, how much or even taxes. Got kind of pissy when I asked for a breakdown.

$35 for two item order with steamed rice...for only one person.

Ok, got home and unpacked the food and I am changing my review to 4 stars. First, Golden Bowl gives you a LOT of food. Enough to feed at least four adults. And it's very fresh; excellent!!!
It's obvious the portions are for family-style serving. That said, I would suggest offering half orders, the criticism that they don't offer portions for single or even couples is justified. I would gladly pay $20 for half the food I just paid $35 for.

Still need to update the inaccurate menus and buy a cash register to detail the purchase. It just seems unethical. It might work in Asia, but not here. And don't get offended if someone questions the bill when your menu has the wrong prices and you provide no detail on the recept.“

“Fat Wong's has the best Chinese food in Modesto. We have been customers since they opened in 1991 they are very polite, and their food is always delicious. Five stars I give him more if I could. Thank you for your good service“

“I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Had a mix up on my bday lunch with the restaurant, they fixed it the next day. The people who work here are very nice as well as the owners.... The girl who answers the phone with no accent is VERY Good at customer service, if I could rate m experience with her alone it's be 10 stars 🙂

The chow main in AMAZING. Noodles are BIG and soft, sooo yum.

The ONLY thing I WISH they did is give you a choice between rice and chow main in the lunch special. ☹️ They should give u a veggie chow main or fried rice choice, in my opinion.... But that's just curious chow main is my FAVORITE food. 😋

“We recently celebrated a few birthdays here, and every time was great. For a party of 8 we spent about $135 with purchasing drinks as well. So under 5 is free. After 3:30 is all you can eat I’d recommend going at these time. You basically choose from a buffet of meat, and vegetables they cook it for on a high wok it’s worth it!! And with my daughter being sensitive to shrimp, they cleaned the wok every time, and we’ve had no reactions like with other places!! They do delivery with DoorDash, but they stay packed cause the food is amazing!!!“

“The Golden China Restaurant has a lot of 5 star reviews so we decided to stop there on our way back from Lake Topaz. We had a mixed experience. The easy part is cleanliness which I rated as 5 star under 'Atmosphere'. Golden China is as clean as restaurant can be. Both bathrooms were operating table spotless on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Our expectations for the food may have been too high from the previous reviews. It's standard Chinese-American food. I am a fan of this style of cuisine, but I am not sure how you make it '5 Star'. I had Seafood Chow Fun. (This was not on their menu, but they were happy to make it when I requested it.) It was good (pictured). I would have liked a few more scallops, but I always want more scallops.

Price for 2 with 1 beer was $45.15 after tax. I would eat at the Golden China again, but I would not drive out of my way to do so.“

“Sonora location. Tried when first opened and few weeks ago. It was clean (new) and great service. Re-visited yesterday and totally the opposite! Counter was dirty, all food was low. It was 4 o’clock and not busy. The cook, other gentleman and waitress was very unprofessional and unsanitary! The cook, yes while wearing gloves, continued to touch dirty services and our food. At one point he had his cell phone in his hand looking at it while cooking our food. Phone back in dirty pocket, touching his hair then back to cooking our food! The conversation between the three of them were load and unprofessional. I was so ready to leave! Definitely won’t be returning anytime soon.“

“Came here for a nice Sunday lunch. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and prompt. I highly recommend the chicken wings! In my opinion, the spring rolls tasted a little bit better than the egg rolls. My wife and I got combination plates which includes a cup of soup, which was yummy. The only thing that was a minor annoyance is there was no Chili (red pepper) Sauce. I like to put some in my soup. But when I asked the server for some, he said that they were out of it. The atmosphere was nice, although I would recommend having some soft music playing in the background to add a little more personality to the dining experience.“

“Went for lunch here today with my boyfriend. We went for the Chinese side of the cuisine and ended up both getting japanese food. He got tonkotsu and chicken teriyaki lunch plate and I got yaki udon. I really love udon so it was nice seeing it on the menu, the udon was super good and I felt the portion sizes for me was perfect. My boyfriend did feel like he could have had a little bigger portion sizes, but also cant complain because the price was not bad at all for what we got. I also tried his food and thought it was very good. We definitely would love to come back again.“

I usually come Monday through Thursday around 2:00 p.m. and I made the mistake of coming in Friday at 2 :00 and the food was just horrible in every way. Service was still with a smile and efficient. Just the food was terrible. They make it way too far in advance during their busy time. Can you imagine what it would be like at dinner! I will continue to be a valued christopheric. “I ordered over the phone for Pickup: Beef Vegetable Stir Fry and Chicken Fried Rice. Tasted good just as I expected. Only thing I don't like is the typical chinese restaurant puffy beef meat. Their chicken meat is not puffy, so it tasted better. If you cannot eat oyster sauce (e.g. due to allergies to crustaceans), make sure you tell them so and to substitute oyster sauce with soy sauce for the fried rice and substitute brown sauce with white sauce for the stir frys. That's what I did, and the nice lady who took my order made sure the food was done to my request. Pricing is good.“
