“Ichikawa has been our family’s destination for Shabu dining since my kids were small. A true bang for your buck, this culinary adventure begins with a choice of 2 appetizers, your preferred broth, followed by 3 choices of meat. The meats range from Angus beef, beef briskets, pork belly, and much more. When you finish your meat, you order another round of 3 choices, and so on. The buffet bar is overflowing with all kinds of veggies, shrimp, crawfish, clams, all kinds of ramen, etc. You fill up your plate with what you want to cook in your broth; it adds so much flavor! The soup, after you’re done cooking the meat is absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and constantly refilling and cleaning the buffet bar. Ichikawa’s all-you-can-eat shabu is amazing and worth every penny. It’s still my son’s go-to place when he’s home from college.“

I stumbled upon Heemo Sushi - Chino Hills and was blown away! I ordered the Sunkist Roll—a delicious twist on a California roll with fresh salmon and tuna. Every bite was packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. The fish was incredibly fresh and the roll was beautifully plated.

The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. To top it off, I treated myself to a macaron ice cream for dessert, and wow—it was the perfect sweet ending!

Super decadent, generous with the sauce (you can request a small scoop of rice for free afterwards to finish off the sauce), great noodle texture, amazing taste!! The first bite was heaven.

Looks small at first but that’s just because the bowl is big/I was struggling to finish halfway through.

“I decided to order some Tonkatsu from Ginkgo Katsu, on a food delivery app based on the good reviews. Thankfully the reviews were on-point this time! The Katsu arrived in this kind of fancy, big box with the meal in different sections - the Tonkatsu, rice, cabbage salad, Katsu sauce; then separately was the curry sauce (I ordered extra), pickled veggies, dressing. “Saw a picture of the Yakisoba Katsu sandwich and I had to have one! It was awesome! The Katsu was crispy and the meat tender. In short it was perfect! (not dry at all!) the yakisoba noodles was a nice addition as it absorbed the tonkatsu sauce and the cole slaw dressing! I also loved the brioche bread! A perfect touch. The sandwich was delicious and not like anything I have tasted before! This with a side of the curry fries! (YUM!) I'll definitely be back for more!“

The place was clean and the food was delicious. I had the salt & pepper shrimp and my husband had the kung pao. I have to admit that when we walked in, I had my doubts. The place was empty and there were boxes stacked up in the dining area. Most likely bz they just got supplies but it didn't do much for the atmosphere. However, the gentleman who served us was very nice and didn't overly bug us. He would keep an eye to see if we were low on drinks but was not hovering. This is something I always appreciate. He noticed I ate all the jalapeño peppers and even let me know I could request it spicier next time. The missing half has very little to do with them or their food.
They are hidden away in a tiny spot so not too easy to find but the worth the effort. I definitely plan to return.“

“Located right next to Cal Poly college, Jinza Teriyaki is a great spot to eat after classes, my all time favorite is the Loco Moco bowl. The people are incredibly nice and especially early the place is a nice quite area to eat in. My only wish is that they would open earlier as someone who's out n about by 7am, but I understand not wanting to open at the crack of dawn.“

“Wow this place surprised me so much, I went on my birthday it was a Thursday mid day and it was lonely. Not sure if that’s good or not but as we walked in, we were greeted and welcomed to a nice beautiful atmosphere.

Open concept, nice design. We were serviced beautifully everything was clean and squeaky clean floors.

Menu was okay to read, but we were able to order a few yummy rolls.

Wow the my favorite was the Vegas roll the combo with the crispy outer layer and the fresh fish on top with avocado with sauce oof it was delicious a must order option!
Everything was delicious and what made the difference was freshness.

I would definitely come here again or order out, but it seems a lot of people order out. Dining in was a great experience and more need to come and experience everything as well at least when they can.

Parking was a bit difficult, one level and easy wheelchair access.

“Bari Bari is under new management. They took off all the surcharges on any credit cards or any other forms of payment. We have eaten there multiple times now since the new owners took over and they are doing such a great job. The food was AMAZING and the whole restaurant seems to be much better than before. This has always been one of my favorite places to eat and I am very happy to see that things are going better than ever at the restaurant. I will definitely be going and supporting Bari Bari all the time.“
