“It’s a small family business and they try hard. Everything is homemade and it’s made in the store before your eyes. we are thinking about a huge selection of pastry, some of them with some of them savory but all good. Free, huge parking lot, safe neighborhood.“
“What a wonderful finding. The service is extraordinarily friendly, and the caramel latte is amazing. The ratio of milk to caramel to coffee is ideal, the flavors are all completely harmonious and fresh, and the sweetness is outstanding. Not my favorite coffee I've ever had, but the flavor combination more than makes up for it. Strongly advised!“
“I ordered a birthday cake for my 3 year old from here and I wish I had known about this place sooner. The design was SPOT on, executed perfectly, the cake itself was maybe the best cake I’ve ever had (and I do not like cake), the frosting was not too sweet, and the service was great.I have never seen my family and friends eat cake like this before. I’ve spent hundreds on beautiful but inedible cakes. Never again.I cannot recommend this place enough and will use them exclusively for all my baked good needs!!“
“So far my two experiences here has been hella good! The bread comes out freshly baked and glistening with butter and syrup or whatever that’s on there. I was there last Sunday when this man yelled at the lady giving the orders. He said “Where’s my bread!!??” And then proceeded to argue with the lady that she took his order and that the woman after me had gotten her bread. She didn’t take his order but he kept arguing that she did. She then told him that that lady did not get bread and that she got donuts .It was hard to tell the cashier apart from the person giving away the bread because they all had masks on and similar hair.He was upset because he thought the woman after me came out with two boxes of señorita bread but it was actually donuts. A few seconds after him being rude and making a scene he received his order. His son who was about 12 years old said, “SEE DAD! You didn’t have to do that!” Lol. The woman and I laughed. The dad never apologized!!We hoped that “man” learned a lesson! But I doubt it. He was so mean! I’m just happy to know that his son is not like him.Him being rude wasn’t necessary.I too wondered if the woman after me got señorita bread, but I thought maybe she ordered it before I got there and was just picking it up. I didn’t go crazy like that man. If I was that curious, I would have simply asked for the status of my order. Not yell out “where is my bread!!??”“
“One of my favorite spots in the East Bay. Definition of cozy coffee shop in the burbs. Relaxed atmosphere, always busy with people and chatter, it's incredible.Service is always top notch and staff is incredibly kind and attentive. Embrace the iced coffee vibes here and go with the Iron Horse Iced Coffee. It's amazing. If you're feeling an extra kick, add a cold brew cube. ?“
“Today I had their vanilla cake with strawberry filling. It was so moist and their frosting was a delicious, fluffy, whipped cream. Five stars all around. I also want to mention that we purchased this 3-4 days ago but postponed enjoying it till today, and it still tasted INCREDIBLE. $30 for a 6” *ready to go* cake was worth it. Keep up the good work.“
“I've recently relocated to Walnut Creek and discovered this amazing family-owned grocery/resturant, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places. The staff is incredibly friendly and respectful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.Their Persian Sangak bread is lovely, with a perfect balance of softness and crunch. I also enjoyed their Taftoon bread, which was delicious. The Haleem I ordered was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. If you visit, don't miss their Chenje Kabab, as the tender meat melts in your mouth. The Koobideh Kabob is also outstanding.Overall, this place is a must-visit for food lovers. With their exceptional food and bread, it offers an authentic and memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!“
“A lot to like overall. Breakfast burrito was very good - loaded with eggs, potatoes, cheese and meat. Much more enjoyable than the usual breakfast burrito in the area (lots of rice and bean filler). Now was it worth $14-$15 dollars? Eh, if you’re hungry enough. The quality and quantity was good. Most annoying thing was the location and pick up process. The place caters mostly to DoorDash and other delivery apps, and is awkward for anyone who isn’t a delivery driver. You need to ring a doorbell…“
“The smell that comes from La Flor De Mexicano bakery can be picked up from 3 doors down. It is heavenly! There is a huge variety of authentic, hand-made pan dulce. They're all a beautiful work of art! The staff is friendly and it is always immaculately clean. I really appreciate being able to get something so nostalgic and of such a high quality for such an affordable price, and all the details that go into everything! A true downtown Pittsburg staple!“
“Absolutely delicious! My fiancé got me the vegan vanilla and chocolate for my birthday as a surprise, and it brought me so much joy! The chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were moist, and the icing tasty, the perfect amount of sweet. Can’t wait until they come out with more vegan flavors ?“
“I always order curbside when I have extra time the milk chocolate chip cookies are amazing can’t go wrong super soft and goey heat the for 10 secs Amazing with milk ! I also like they’re other flavors today I’ll be trying the mystery “
“There is another starbread location in pittsburg ca. I personally like this location more than the pittsburg one. Location: the location is in a shopping plaza near sunvalley mall and diablo Valley College. The same plaza with happy lemon. Parking is easy to find in the area. Ambiance: smell of Filipino seniorita bread and baked goods fill the space. However, there is no chairs and tables. It only has space for the tables and chairs. Food: you don't need to travel to Hawaii to eat a good masala. Starbread has a variety of deserts like seniorita bread, mochi donuts, Filipino style donuts like bichu bichu. And masalas. Credit card is accepted if the order is more than 7 dollars. The ube msalas is delicious. Overall, come to this place if you miss Hawaii and want to Try filipino baked goods for a reasonable price.“
“A cute and pink little bakery in the center of downtown Pleasant Hill. You will not be disappointed when entering Batter n Icing and taking one, or a dozen, delicious cupcakes. I made mini cupcakes with floral patterns and some special cupcakes for my birthday. Delicious and adorable. The raspberry almond is delectable.“
“Went a couple of times because friends, a few months ago, said it was good and I had seen the line out the door on a Saturday. Both times I went, 3 months apart, during the week, the almond crossaint was dry. It is flaky and crunchy, but kind of dry on the last quarter end each side. No filling til the middle. The middle had a lot of almond paste- too much that it was too sweet and i could not eat it all. Maybe if they made it smaller with the paste not so much in the middle it would be better - a better dispersment of the filling. The choc crossaint had a lot of the flaky pastry but a thin line of choc could hardly taste it. The apple braid was delicious. Crispy crunchy and the right amount of filling to pastry ratio. My favorite so far. More different fruit braids would be great! I went at 8.30a during the week. I was the only customer til another person walked in. The pastries were 6$ plus and they had day old pastries for sale. If the ratio of filling to pastry was better and not too dry on some of them, I would be back more often!“
“I cannot express how much I love a dedicated gluten free facility. It makes it so easy for my celiac husband to find tasty treats and drinks. The desserts, particularly the cookies and cupcakes are so good you would never know the difference between non-gluten free items (I say this as someone who eats non gluten free items all the time). We love the desserts so much we ordered our wedding cake from here and it turned out beautifully! We could not recommend this place enough. It's a little pricey but that's to be expected with the pricer ingredients and in being in an expensive area.“
“We got the old skol cinnamon rolls and I am not expecting too much from it. But DAMN!!! It’s really terrifically good! Not that really sweet. The sweetness is perfectly fit in my taste bud. My whole family and my partner love it. I regret we only bought half dozen. I am looking forward to try the other “
“5 stars are not enough for this bakery! A friend brought me two slices (princess and marzipan) as I had been getting inquiries about good wedding cake references. The flavor was delicious and they were beautiful. Let’s just say I am kind of a cake snob, so I am so excited to have found a new favorite bakery! They were excellent and fresh, even though I didn’t get a chance to eat them the night she brought them. I will be ordering my next celebratory cake from Le Gateau Elegant!“
“We tried this bakery for the first time last week. The owner was really nice and friendly. We have a daughter and son in law that are vegan. We purchased vegan rice crispie treats and brownies. My son in law said the brownies were the best he has ever had and everyone loved the vegan rice crispie treats. I also purchased a few non vegan Oatmeal raisin cookies which I just loved. We also purchased raspberry jammies MAJOR YUMMY.... they had other fruit but we love raspberry. We had everything to go so I did not eat anything there. The bakery was very clean and well managed. I now have a great go to place for vegan and non vegan pastries and cookies.“
“Patty is amazing and her Cheese zombies bring me back to grade school. I couldn't go a day without a cheese zombie back then and everyday I crave them now. My kids always ask, can we get zombies for breakfast? Now this is generational.. Thanks Patty!“
“This place has absolutely delicious birria tacos and consomé. This has been the only thing I've ordered from their menu (there's no other place I know of near me that serves these tacos) but I would also like to try their birria quesadillas. They're listed on the menu as "red tacos" and are about $15 for 3 tacos and the consomé is a separate extra cost. When it comes out fresh, the tacos are super cheesy and yummy. The building is very spacious and doesn't get too busy, so I always get to grab a table. In the middle of the restaurant, they display their desserts and pastries such as flan and alfajores. The restaurant is located in the Park and Shop surrounded by a lot of different Asian cuisines, dessert shops, and a grocery store. If you try parking close to the restaurant, that is the area that is the most congested, we always park in the back of the building.“
“I love this place. I love how they individually wrap the product. I feel the price is good too. The store is cramped when you walk in trying to grab your product and it's very crowded. I feel they should open the space and give the customers more room to look at the product instead of being shoulder to shoulder trying to grab what they want. Other than that the product is great taste is awesome.“
“The customer service is great. The bread is fresh, warm depending your arrival but they are constantly making fresh batches. The have variety and you can also order mini like for parties or gatherings. Small chop but def really good fresh baked pan dulce“
“Women-owned, black-owned business. Started in Berkeley and now in Walnut Creek. Like what the sandwich board says outside the front door “Damn Good Cupcakes.”, Cupcakin’ Bake Shop lives up to the hype and then some. Yummy, delicious, not too sweet, moist mini cakes. These are not your typical cupcakes. Beautifully decorated. There are over a dozen flavors to choose from at any given time. It was very hard to pick! The Chocolate Raspberry is chocolatey with raspberry puree filling topped with fluffy, airy whipped cream and a fresh strawberry. If you love carrot cake, get the Carrot cake cupcake - it’s like eating a mini carrot cake filled with chopped walnuts, cream cheese frosting and a cute mini carrot decoration. The cupcake can be boxed in its own specialized box so it doesn’t move. The size of these cupcakes are great for kids, perfect for parties, showers, birthdays, weddings, cupcake towers. They offer vegan and gluten-free. Dairy free is special order. They also bake cakes with 7 day notice. The Walnut Creek location does not have a place to sit, but there is a bench outside to sit.“
“Good selection of bagels, I went late morning on a Saturday and there were still lots of options. I got the BLT bagel sandwich on a sundried tomato bagel, it was excellent. I will definitely be back next time I'm here. There's also a park with lots of seating across the street where you can eat if you want, and plenty of street parking.“
“The All Berry Croissant is delightful! I enjoy the food, service and ambiance. This store is like a cozy place to curl up to in the rain or just meet with friends to catch up. It never disappoints. I am excited to see the renovation once it is complete. Also if your order two weeks in advance you can get a delicious order of petit fours. These small oven cakes kind of remind me of Marie Antoinette's history table of goodies.“
“This Mexican based local business is my go to for Pan Dulce. Since my first visit, they have been consistent with their bread, coffee and customer service. It's even better now, that they introduced a full lunch menu! Once I had their super burrito, I knew this place would be a regular for me Seating is available indoors, and their food is freshly made. Later at night, there is sometimes a taco stand where you can order your food hot and warm on the spot Ambiance is very tranquil, very smooth as this establishment is small; even hidden if you drive too quickly on Railroad Ave. Try this spot out!“
“Love this place!!! Great food, amazingly kind and friendly staff, and an owner who puts so much heart into this business. Everything I've had is amazing. My favorite is the Mulitas. Crunchy, savory, cheesy, its so good! Ask for a side of consommé to dip. The spicy chicken sandwich is also amazing. I love having Papi Clary's Kitchen so close to home, and they door dash now!“
“I have eaten pastries from Mike's. It is well known in the area and the inventory goes quickly. Their hours of business seem to change...especially during Covid. I suppose it is difficult to find a lot of people who are able or want to get up early in the morning to make the inventory.“
“Excellent place for pastries and decent coffee , it is a boulangerie. The croissants are good. All bake fresh in situ. The cakes looks delicious, haven’t tried yet.The package eggs sandwich is not that good , the white bread is a dried out and not what I am used to from other bakery. Ate the filling and discarded the bread.Clean and bright location. Staff and service are excellent.“
“Quick and perfect experience got a nice sweet cinnabon to go couldn't have asked for any better sweet tasting treat to treat myself after walking around the mall for a few hours they were so kind and nice and there was no wait time great service great desert treat.“
“This is the place to go for all your donut, coffee, and breakfast sandwich needs! Mr. & Mrs. Charlie and the their baker in the back are gold, plus the staff! I ❤️ this place so much! Everything is amazing! If you haven't tried their old-fashioned glaze or bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwich, you gotta! They're addicting. I have to get donuts ???? every Friday for the office ????????????????????????“
“Best bakery in the East Bay. We found this because it's close to our swim academy and I have ordered their mini cupcakes for my kids' birthday parties for the past few years from this business. If you pay cash you can avoid their extra fee. Delicious baked goods and cupcakes. Their cinnamon sugar loaf is really yummy but bad for your waistline, as is all the stuff at the bakery, to be honest. Service is always nice and helpful. Their new dining area in the back is so nice. I've had their salads and sandwiches also which are delicious.“
“Very quiet, calming area with not a lot of people inside. This allows you to enjoy the excellent quality pastries they have to offer. The macaroons, palmiers, and mousse cakes are some of the many highlights they have on the menu, and the same goes for the coffee too. Definitely check it out I'd you're in the Broadway Plaza shopping center area!“
“Part of Mt. Diablo high school . The restaurant is teaching kids to work in food servicesThey work hard and serve great food. Please support them!Parking: On East St. In front of the building.Wheelchair accessibility: Several spots close to the front door“
“OMG! This dessert is sinful! I’ve never had a cream puff like it. My daughter and I happen to be having a daughter day and came across Beard Papas in Concord. My daughter and I each got one cream puff. My only disappointment was, I only got one. Will definitely be back - I highly recommend the Ube shell with Ube filling.Their Bakery is quaint and myself, and my daughter really enjoyed the music.“
“The best cinnamon rolls in CoCo County! You don't even have to heat them up to enjoy it. The dough is so light, yet has the perfect chew to it, with plenty of cinnamon flavor throughout. The homemade icing is delightful! The staff always greets you with a smile.“
