“Seafood in general here is pretty good. The fish is huge and quite good. The calamari bit strips were solid, the prawns were awesome too can't lie. Fries were meh, hush puppies were actually enjoyable as well, I'm usually not a fan of those.

The batter is the star here, seasoned well, not overly fried at all.

Terrible location in my opinion or just needs some updating but I can't judge off looks cause some of the best food I've had comes from places that aren't exactly shining.“

“This place is really nice. Large Booth tables. I wish I would have taken more photos inside the restaurant. It has good lighting. Low volume on the noise, so it's easy to carry a conversation.

The staff were great and funny. I ordered a New York steak and chicken breast. I'm on the carnivore diet so can't have sauces and or sugars let alone any vegetables. Food was delicious.

The food wasnt fresh the peices of chicken were small barley any fries soggy crumbs and hush puppies were dry and even my Dr pepper just tasted blan and they even got my order wrong and the employe wasn't much better. I won't spend my money there again“

“I was craving ceviche and decided to try this place. Placed a pick up order & the lady was super nice over the phone and in person. OMG the food was BOMB! Came with tostadas, saltine crackers, tajin and chile. Presentation was super nice as well did not expect that. I will def be going there from now on!!“

Kids chicken nuggets are a bit overpriced so if you have picky eaters don't take them. They should move their trash cans away from customers entrance or parking lot, the smell of rotten fish almost kills my appetite. Other than that food is great, music always playing nice and loud.“

“We recently moved from Phoenix, AZ, and used to visit California Fish Grill at the Biltmore shopping plaza off Camelback all the time. We absolutely loved how happy and welcoming the staff always were and how clean the kitchen and seating areas stayed. It quickly became our go-to spot for a quick, affordable, and healthy dinner.

Now that we’re in Fresno, we were so happy to find a California Fish Grill here—and it did not disappoint one bit. The Fresno location is just as clean and well-run as we remember. The staff looks professional and attentive, service is fast, and the food is always hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious.

Savannah helped us at the kiosk and made ordering super easy and convenient, which we really appreciated. Food was excellent, restrooms were spotless, and the entire experience was perfect—exactly how every restaurant should be.

“The Xinantecatl Restaurant arose on our horizon after a week of backpacking in the Sierras. I'm sure it wasn't only the contrast with rehydrated camping food while slapping hummingbird-sized mosquitoes. But this place is the real deal! Each person in our five person party descended into reverential silence while enjoying fajitas, salad with steak, camarones a la veracruzana (spicy and savory) and camarones a la diablo (SPICY and savory). Meals were served with hot corn tortillas following complimentary excellent thick cut tortilla chips and both red and tomatillo salsas, both tangy and yummy. The man who greeted us was also the chef and waiter, a charming guy on top of talented and efficient cook and cultural translator (ask him what the restaurant name means!).  Complimentary ice creams were his final gift as we departed home to the showers he never let on knowing that we needed.  I'll be back for sure whenever I'm in town!“

“I want to give a big shout out to a manager at the Fresno location by the name of Chris. He truly went above and beyond to make my friend's 83rd birthday special. My friend has dietary restrictions due to his health issues and this dinner almost didn't happen if it wasn't for Chris. Give this man a raise! We both had filets and baked potatoes, which were excellent, done to perfection, and the steaks were deserving of the term "melt in your mouth."“

“I called the morning of 08/01 to make a same-day reservation for a party of 7 to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The gentleman who took my call was incredibly professional — he listened attentively, understood the importance of the occasion, and suggested a table in the banquet room for a more private experience. He even let me know we were welcome to bring our own cake and decor. That level of attentiveness set the tone, and I was immediately impressed with the restaurant and the potential for a memorable evening.

However, upon arrival, things took a disappointing turn. I had my wife wait in the car with our son so I could set up the table, only to be informed by the hostess that our reservation had been moved to a high-top table outside of the banquet room. I explained that this wasn’t what I had reserved, and that a high table wouldn’t work due to having children in our party. Instead of attempting to understand or resolve the situation, the hostess was dismissive and made me feel as if my request was unreasonable — despite it being a reservation I had clearly confirmed. Her tone, body language, and general attitude lacked professionalism and created a poor first impression. Additional training in customer service and hospitality is strongly recommended.

Thankfully, the service from Catarina, our server, along with the food runners and bussers — especially Abe — turned the experience around. Their attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism were exceptional. They made us feel welcomed, celebrated, and well taken care of. This level of service truly reflects what you’d expect from a restaurant striving to become a local favorite.

As for the food — I ordered the ribeye and it was spot-on. Everyone in our group was pleased with their meals; the quality was evident and the flavors delivered. Pricing was also very reasonable for the quality and overall experience.

In summary, despite the rocky start, the dining experience was saved by an outstanding service team and quality cuisine. I would return — and I look forward to seeing service excellence reflected across the board on future visits.“

“we made a order for a special dinner, we ordered a few dinner plates and appetizers. two of the dishes sides we requested were "vegetarian" however when we opened our order it was NOT vegetarian. we also ordered cheese wontons and they had crab in them when we commented on this the manager was INCREDIBLY RUDE and asked if the menu stated they were "vegetarian cheese wontons" like we didn't know what we were reading off the menu or as if he didn't know what exactly was stated on the menu.“
