“Customer service was stellar! Since it was my first time, he helped me choose items and answered any questions I had. I ended up getting the beef lunch plate. Food was amazing. Very comforting and exactly what I needed after not eating the entire day.“
“Wife and I were ecstatic upon hearing that Ululani opened shop close to home. We experienced it first in Maui. Other shaved ice shops in Maui and Waikiki couldn't hold a candle to Ululani. Fluffy ice and their syrups taste organic and not too sweet. Our four year-old approved on his first trip to the Hollywood location. This is the best Hawaiian shaved ice by a Maui mile. Hope they stick around long term.“
“So I have to admit this was my second time going so I figured this was a time to do a review. First off I want to say the food is definitely worth the wait so that definitely is a plus now this being my second time I will say the first difference I noticed was in the portions mind you when I went the first time it was not busy we really did not have to wait long for our food at all but the second time we decided that we're going to go into the parking lot we're going to call our food and they gave us a 15 before our food will be done so we figured let's wait in the car because they had live music and it was busy. Now we took 20 minute before going inside just to find out that they did not even make our food what is highly frustrating I'm okay if you say let's call in the order so we don't have to wait in line to pay which I'm all for it but a full disclosure would have been better than waiting an extra 30 minutes for a food on the inside and eventually going back. Also it will be nice if I was told over the phone we won't start cooking your food until you pay for it because instead of us waiting outside we would have came and paid for it and only waited however long it took to make the food because they make food and order in which its paid because you can physically see it what's your name which is also fine however I did not expect to wait that long for some food otherwise why not just say you have to order inside or it's better if you do it through an app so we can start your food and it can be ready..Now looking past that when I tell you the quality and the taste of the food was exactly the same from the first time I went I praised the people and their recipe in a consistency that they give when making the food. And yes of course it's because they don't cook things out of order they cook them as they get to them and your food does hot but I wish that earlier part was communicated a lot better because then I know how to move from there of course I came there for the food so I was not leaving but knowing how much I'm actually going to wait will have me plan out better because it kind of ran longer into other things we wanted to do...I would still want to try them again just to make sure. I just hope the phone experience is not the same“
“Service is nice and super quick! Nice small place. Bulgogi beef is very delicious, good proportions of meat, rice, and salad. Inari is very filling and plenty bang for your buck! Delicious. Musubi is nice and compact good for on the go snack. Mango & peach shake / slush is very sweet and yummy! Will come back again.“
“First time there. I ordered online for pick up. Mixed and 2 piece coconut shrimp and a drink. Spent $30.00 The drink was good but too small. Both the chicken, shrimp were... ok ok all of it was good, it was delicious just the macaroni tasted like fishy, shrimpy idk other that def would go again.“
“I love the food here. It is delicious. Everything from the breakfast items (served all day), especially the Portuguese Sausage (which is their own recipe and it's a patty type sausage not like a hot dog) and eggs and the Hawaiian Royale (a rice dish with eggs, portugese sausage, char siu, sauce, kind of like a fried rice but not). The Japanese food is delicious, they do a great tempura. Or if you just want a burger and fries you can't go wrong either. So all the things needed to be a great little diner.“
“5.0 & none below!!!Enjoy authentic Hawaiian cuisine for a ridiculously low price. This classic plate lunch style joint serves generous portions of flavor packed food; it's no wonder this place has been in business for the last 60 years. Locals from the islands will not be disappointed in the least. Choose from a variety of local dishes. The lau lau is proper, as it includes the pork belly and butterfish. The chicken katsu is off the chain, but a request for the curry katsu option is highly recommended. The loco moco stay garranz fo' quell any kanak attack (sooouuu-peh!). If you want to switch it up on the pupus at your next get-together or football/UFC night, pass on the Wing Stop and get a fat order of the Hawaiian wings instead. Get your grind on!Parking: Strip style location, huge parking lot“
“This place is a gem, I am so glad to have finally tried their food. There are lots of scrumptious options to choose from and right when I think I've made up my mind on what to get I spot the daily specials board. Mind you I did get in late for dinner so they were mostly sold out of their specials but I did not leave disappointed. The staff is friendly and very attentive, they make you feel like family. The chili is DELICIOUS! I loved it, I even took a pint of it home. Their poke is good, it was marinated with sesame oil and green onions. I also ordered a bento box and the somen salad and brocolli medley were the best parts. Overall a solid place to have a satisfying meal.“
“Pretty cool spot that opened in the same plaza as Bonchon, Paris Baguette and Katsu Sando. This is unlike any other poke place I've had since you order via the robot and they make your food in the back. Other spots is like Chipotle style. That being said, the 'small' portion was pretty hefty but also a bit on the pricey side. Good quality fish though.“
“Our server was top notch, very aware of our table....a joy to have as wait staff! Food was incredible, prep was top notch, portion sizes were varied. General atmosphere was tiki lounge lite, a fun, Cali casual/island theme very comfy. Bartender knew her way around mixology....no complaints!“
“Came here on a rushed lunch. I came another time with a PLANNED and EAGER lunch. The food taste fresh. Their teriyaki bowl is a perfect proportion. It was sweet, tangy and perfectly dressed with crunchy lettuce. Good place to sit down and eat. I'll definitely return for many lunches.“
“I love eating at Auntie's and I can't stop raving about their breakfast burritos! Without a doubt, Auntie's serves up the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. My go-to order is the bacon and Portuguese sausage combo, minus the tater tots, and it never disappoints. Also I love the traditional Hawaiian music that plays as I'm enjoying my food. It always creates a calm and comfortable environment.I've explored breakfast burrito options all over the South Bay and Los Angeles, and nothing even comes close to Auntie's. The flavor profile is absolutely outstanding. The bacon is thick and delightfully crunchy, elevating every bite to a whole new level of deliciousness. What makes Auntie's even more remarkable is their support for law enforcement. They go the extra mile by hosting "coffee with a cop" events periodically, fostering better communication between the public and the Gardena police department. It's heartwarming to see the mayor of Gardena, Chief, and Captain attend these events, demonstrating Auntie's commitment to the community.Auntie's isn't just a restaurant; it's a place where you can savor incredible breakfast burritos and feel good about supporting a business that actively engages with its local law enforcement and community. If you're in the area, Auntie's is a must-visit spot for a truly unforgettable breakfast experience.“
“I decided to try this since my husband was having lunch in his hospital room and this was right across the street in the same building my hotel is in. The poke was fresh and delicious. The service was quick and friendly. The place was also clean which is very important to me.“
“First time visiting Aloha Stacks and wow, it will not be the last! Being from the islands it was a nice surprise to see Island food on a menu. Kalua pork, Loco Moco just to name a few. The dining area isn't too spacious but we were able to sit our party of 10 on the outdoor tables and it was a perfect day. Standing in line for half an hour can be a little putting off but they served us literally within about 5 minutes of taking our order. I was walking our drinks to the table as the waitress dropped off our first plates. Customer service is incredible! I had the typical chicken katsu plate which wasn't exactly katsu, more like crispy fried chicken without the panko crumbs. But I finished every bite. Everyone finished their plates as well including French toast, chilaquiles with kalua pork, pancakes for the kids, waffle plate with turkey patties. We will be back!Parking: It's a huge spread-out shopping center so parking is shared. But it's totally doable.Kid-friendliness: It's a family diner basically with kids plates and lots of stuff for kids besides the kids plates---juice, chocolate milk, etc.“
“What a delightful dining experience! The service here is friendly and efficient, making you feel like you've been welcomed into a Hawaiian home. The food is nothing short of amazing - the grilled pineapple with coconut shrimp was a revelation, and the macadamia nut pie was the perfect ending to our meal. The ambiance was a tropical dream, complete with tiki torches and the scent of plumeria in the air. This restaurant is a true oasis, and I can't wait to bring my friends and family back to share in the joy!“
“A hidden gem in Alhambra for macadamian pancakes – a quaint spot with a laid-back vibe. The menu's simplicity adds charm, and the pancakes, though a tad heavy, are a delightful indulgence. The incredible cream topping elevates the experience, and while the coffee is decent, the overall ambiance ensures a memorable visit. Highly recommended for those seeking a cozy pancake haven.“
“Hello my Yelpies,IF YOU WANT AUTHENTIC POKE? YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE. I've been searching long and hard for an authentic Hawaiian poke bowl for the longest time. I am looking for something that is just fish and sauce, i don't want all the unnecessary items, like peas, crab meat, etc. If you are like me than Pisces is the place to go. Parking here isn't too much of a headache, there's plenty of spots right in front. And you know it, I came here for one thing and one thing only. POKE! I must say if you like spicy you have to try their ALWAYS SPICY. That is definitely my go to order. It comes with delicious chewy rice along with some edamame and if I'm feeling a little extra I will order their masubi which are both bomb af!!! Service is great as well! I can't wait to come back again. Overall, 5 stars for food and service.“
“My go to poki spot in DTLA. Fairly priced and not skimpy with the protein the workers know what they're doing! I switch between the poki bowls and the wrap - both are great honestly. There are so many options and compared to spots like sweet fin this is just so much fresher and better in my opinion. It's located inside the grocery store which is nice because sometimes I grab a wrap and do my grocery shopping. You can also take it to go and sit at the tables outside. Super good, a must go.“
“Good tortas I tried the torta cubana its was big and delicious i definitely coming back to tried a different torta only reason i give them 4 stars is because their salsas aren't spicy they need to incorporate jalapeños or chiles toreados.“
“I love this spot, from their veggie plates to the awesome delicious ribs. I give this place 5 starsVegetarian options: Try the seafood platter, or the ribs, bomb they serve a nice stacked plate that will fill you up and have some left for later. Love this place!!!“
“Theyre have your basic Chinese fast food needs the first Chinese food spot ive ever come in contact with that has curry and white rice on deck good portions and noodles beat panda expresses any day all the food honestly!! my go to lunch spot support small business not corporations.Vegetarian options: noodles white rice steamed veggies on deck“
“My second time here and I ordered the pecan and banana pancake combo with portuguese sausage. The sausage was delicious and the pancakes were amazing. I put a little butter and syrup on the pancakes and think next time I would just use a little more butter and no syrup. The pancakes were sweet just by themselves. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.“
“A spot right on the corner in uptown Whittier. My husband and I were walking down the street and didn't know what to eat. Whittier is home away from home. We used to live nearby and take in all our favourite foods. We happen to be in the area and see all the updated shops and restaurants. We decided to try something new and We were so glad we did. Teriyaki Bistro was so welcoming when we walked in. We chose our option of plate/bowl and our toppings. I thought the toppings were a fun little treat. We waited less than 10 min for our food and ate downstairs. The restaurant was clean and had everything you needed. The restroom is located inside that needs a key. Don't worry you can't lose the key... It's attached to a metal serving spoon ?Save some room for dessert. They have ice cream sandwiches.“
“The first thing I want to say is that my server, Christian, was AMAZING! He went above and beyond on serving my food. He kept on asking if the portions were enough, which is something I dont get asked enough from places as such. He was super polite, gave the best answers to my questions, and always mentioned options when most others would have just given what I asked for. The food was spot on the best Poke I've ever had! Finally, the price was just right for what I was getting, and the restaurant was super well kept and clean! I HIGHLY recommend this spot, and if Christian is serving you make sure to leave a nice tip!“
“This place is absolutely the best. We now have two Hawaiian bbq restaurants in the same small area. This one has the hometown feel. It's the one that is family owned and worked! They don't have fancy leis but they have a huge menu, and really good food! If you want the hometown feel.. and yummy delicious food.. come try the best Hawaiian bbq in South Pasadena!“
“Been looking for a poki place in the area and this place came through! The fish was fresh and tasty. The young lady there was extremely helpful. It was my first time there and she walked me through it all. I took it to go, but the place wasn't busy during lunch hr. I will definitely be back again.“
“I found this place by accident while looking for free parking near USC. Decided to give it a try. Really cool concept. Ordered a cheese steak. Waiting about 8 minutes in the lot before I got a text that my food was ready. Pull up through the alley to the vendor and grabbed my food. Cheese steak was middle of the road (my car still smells like it two days later). I’d like to see this concept rolled out in more places. Great idea“
“Ordered their combo plates (-$16-$17): Kamoa (bbq chicken and katsu chicken) and Momena (bbq chicken, Kallie ribs and beef ribs). The taste is out of this world. The ribs, oh the ribs is so delicious, moist, pulled easily from the bone. The portion is good for two meals so the price is pretty inexpensive. Will come again to try their loco moco.“
“Ordered delivery. I got the 15 piece of swai fish. A jar of fried oysters and 10 pieces of shrimp....oh an a cup of clam chowder with french fries and hush puppies. Thank you so very much Anna. It was our first time trying and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back ☺️“
“First time there, Played, & helped host a Rock & Metal show!! .... Great Resturant, Bar, & venue. They serve some dank Hawaiian food, biggest, wings I've seen at any place. Bar Girls were great!! And they provided excellent service!!! Thank you to all who made 3/11/23 such a great time !!!!! We will definitely be back!!!“
“Even the small Loco Moco is filling and delicious. Kalua pork is excellent and the BBQ sauce for it is authentic. Macaroni salad tastes like what you get from a food window in Honolulu.A bit pricey, but the large portions are 1.5 to 2 meals.“
“One of the best poke spots to come to if you're in the area!! They have a variety of sauces that you could combine to make your own special sauce, i really recommend the sesame shoyu and miso honey for that sweet and savory taste!! Their service is fast and their employees are friendly and very accommodating, the atmosphere in here is calm and welcoming and is perfect for getting work done.“
“I just had a bridal shower at Aloha and I can’t say enough about how happy I am. All of my guests were in heaven loving the food…the service was above and beyond outstanding…and Kokorono Coffee kicked butt serving his unique hot and cold coffee, matcha and hot chocolate blends. I will definitely have another event here and highly recommend that you all do too! Thank you Jen, CJ, Curtis and staff for making my event perfect!“
“This place is very delicious. I received the Lemon Pepper Tilapia. Prices are very reasonable. Customer Service was great! The only thing I disliked was the Sriracha provided. They had the original roster Sriracha on display but we were given the cheap Vinagre knock off.I will definitely be returning and becoming a regular.“
“Let's start this with a heavy hitting they make fresh made to order sesame balls . Losing my mind how great they are. It's rare to find any in the area so I was beyond excited to come across this place by chance. I only ordered the noodles besides the balls ?.... Didn't disappoint equally as Delicious. I love that they add veggies too that noodles for extra flavor. The staff super friendly will be coming again for sure.“
“This is a hidden gem! The food is fresh to order. I've only tried the pupusas revueltas and tacos de carne asada. It's a small location but definitely worth a try. It's an interesting combination of different foods. The cooks are really sweet and the gentleman at the register is friendly. There are only about 6 tables with 4 chairs each, but if it's only you and your date it's perfect. The decor is a lot of Salvadoran art and some plates with Salvadoran currency. It's cute for a date to chat and have some good food.“
“This is a tough one, I'm picky with my pokeI make my own that meets the exact flavor profile I want. Umami, salty, slightly fishy, scallions, sesame oil and seeds, and a dash of seasoned rice vinegar. Hey that's a lot to ask for you say...sure I agree but that's what I like, and I didn't get it.There was nothing wrong basically but I thought it was all very densly packed into a small bowl separating all flavors, making it tuna here, seaweed salad there all flavors scattered independently from each other....Could it be fixed? Sure start with a wider birth on the bowl, maybe give people an idea what makes for a great sauce mix as the house sauce was lacking umami.“
“I love Rutt's Hawaiian Cafe. The staff is so nice...But I come for the foooood! Especially the MEATS! This is the best BBQ, Hawaiian or otherwise, for the BEST prices and the biggest portion. I love them. P.S., they also do great takeout for the same big-portion-for-small-price-PLUS-sauce experience!“
“I had a super weird experience here the other day, but as their food is always good, I'll let it pass for now. We have stopped going to other places in the area due to how managers treat their employees. In this case, it was a manager who kindly corrected their employee, but it was still weird what the employee did.I'm not going to go into details, but I was impressed with the way the manager did not belittle the employee, but did make sure I knew they would be talked to.I was not the perfect patron in this situation either, as I was on an important call and tried to do the transaction the first time before wrapping up the call.I ended up finishing the call and coming back in to learn that the transaction could have been made easily, but alas, perhaps me being on the call made the person not want to help me easily. Either way, we will still be returning as I appreciated the situation for what it was and I was impressed with the manager.“
“Don’t get it twisted every L & L Hawaiian is not the same. This is the only one that cooks the curry shrimp right. It’s a hit 10 out of 10 every time. It’s uinder great management. The macaroni in the dinner plate is so good I’ve ordered more. It it's good hot and cold. You should visit. When you do tell them Omar sent you.“
“Food was classic Hawaiian- Japanese meals. Very tasty chicken & pork dishes & good portions for the prices. The teri beef had some gristle & fat, but otherwise was well marinated. Just cut it off. Sufficient parking in the back. Will try the kalbi ribs next. Just wish they offered teri salmon.“
“Generous Servings, High quality seafood, and fresh vegetables!! Better than every other poke bar for 20 miles. Healthy Ponzu sauce! No excess sugar!(The bowl sizes have gotten a lil bit smaller recently)Vegetarian options: Tofu proteinDietary restrictions: Easy Meal for Keto or Pescatarian! Base choice of brown rice, white rice, or full salad.Parking: Only 2 parking spots in lot, plenty of steet parking just off Colorado Blvd.Wheelchair accessibility: One low step up, but there is a handicap parking“
“Food is always amazing however they did remove the serve yourself teriyaki katsu sauce. Service could have been a little better. Always homeless people right in front of this place asking. technically it's not their fault but there's constantly always different vagrants right in front.Parking: Always lots of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of accessibility“
“Love this Chinese fast food joint, their fried rice, chow mien, orange chicken, and spicy fish always hits the spot! I use to eat this everyday but obviously I was slowly killing myself, great food tho!! The donut shop across is delicious too!Parking: Parking is shared by the plaza, but security there is nice enough to help/guide you safely.“
“This is a regular place to order lunch. I never eat in ambience is not that great but I see people eating lunch on the outside patio chairs all the time so it’s about 20 bucks for a large pokey, figured it’s healthy it’s gonna be more expensive you know it’s just a bunch of protein in brown rice and salad in a bowl. Good healthy option as compared to what else is out there during the work week.“
“Poke N Roll is the definition of a hidden gem. Located in a tiny strip mall with limited parking, the restaurant is easy to overlook but well worth a try. Their ingredients are always incredibly fresh, from the crispy onion toppings to the warm and fluffy bed of rice underneath it all. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for!!“
“I love this chain Hawaiian bbq spot and always stop by for their spam musubi’s. The musubi’s were delicious and I got them super easy easy rice.I’d definitely come back again and just be aware that parking is busy during peak times but worth the wait. Id definitely come back for their other menu items.“
“Jenni is the nicest and coolest person. She's so positive and great energy always. The cook is also terrific. Thanks for being there Miki-Chan'sI refer people to You all the time. My son and Family just moved to your area and they are definitely going to order from Miki-Chan's repeatedly like we do.Zucchini green beans Always a favorite.“
“Clean environment, reasonable prices, large portions (poke bowl), friendly & professional owners! Haven't even begun to describe the food, which is AMAZING! Very good quality. I've only ever gotten poke bowls but I need to try the sushi soon. 5 stars all across the board!!! BTW, they close at 8:30pm not 9pm. I came at about 8:25pm thinking they were open until 9pm and they served me with a smile!! Add this place into your take out rotation, you don't want to miss out!“
“I really enjoyed this place. My first time here and I found it easy to order and grab my food for a quick lunch. I got a poki bowl with tuna and salmon. The fish was fresh and the add ons like crab salad, sea weed salad and cucumbers were yummy. Will be a returning customer.“
