“Came here today for lunch and it was my 1st time and it was so good. I had brisket and a side of beans and drink for $40 the flavor was great and the beans were perfect. I had the strawberry kiwi lemonade and that was super good too. The bbq sauce was the cherry on top. Overall great experience. The young man that was working there alone was nice and attentive. Very home style feeling. I will absolutely be back with my foodie dad and tell others about this place.“

Had an amazing experience at Chubby Cattle AYCE BBQ celebrating my wife’s birthday and a big part of that was our server Sam. From the moment we sat down, Sam was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. He made sure everything was explained clearly, checked in on us at the perfect times, and kept everything running smoothly without ever feeling rushed. “Just found this local place. Brisket, Pork Ribs, Hot link are fire. Got the Mac and cheese plus Baked Beans also good. Beans had a deep smokey flavor which I loved. Owner threw in some Tri-tip and it was fantastic👌. The meats were properly seasoned and savory. Definitely recommend this place.“

“First time visiting and both the food + service was great. John (owner or manager?) plus both servers (Tee & Levi) were friendly and spoke to us in a relaxed manner. Even got a tour of the kitchen and the hickory feed rotisserie smoker. Had a choice between lean or fatty Brisket and went with lean; enjoyed it. Was impressed with the Mac n Cheese as the elbow noodles are large in size.“

Everything we ordered was delicious, highly recommend the loaded Mac n cheese w brisket, I’m no stranger to soul food and this mac rivaled my own… so creamy. Everything is seasoned to perfection. The bbq sandwich with brisket and pulled pork was so flavorful, it didn’t even need sauce. Don’t get me started on the soft, chewy buns…The staff, not sure if the owner, was soooooo genuinely kindhearted. He made our family time even more special, laughing with us and letting us try the wings and dirty rice (try themmm!!!! Soooo good). Over the top tasty bbq AND sides. 10/10 would recommend. “I found this new BBQ pop-up in Lakewood at the YMCA and I can’t say enough good things about it. From the kindness of the family that runs it, to the delicious food. Last week I had the 3 meat plate (I chose brisket, pork belly and chicken) which came with 2 sides and it was only $28! The brisket and pork belly were SO tender and juicy and had an amazing flavor! Earlier today I had the one meat plate with chicken, this coleslaw that is probably the best I’ve ever tasted, and their brisket chow mein. So good! Everything is homemade down to the sauces and they have things like burritos and Texas toast brisket grilled cheese. It’s called Axiom Kitchen. Husband, wife and kids and so kind…they made us feel so special. We haven’t had service like that in a long time. I know they are at the Lakewood YMCA on Sundays and I think Fridays and they are at another location on Thursday but I’m not sure where.“

“What a great spot. Get the premium option. The bulgogi and filet mignon were my favorites but everything was delicious. This place is no-frills but strong on flavor and quality. I liked the salad bar, too. The pickled daikon is really scrumptious, as are the house sauces. Order conservatively because it's all-you-can eat (up to 2 hours at the table) and they'll charge you an additional plate if you don't finish what you order, which I think is very valid and fair. You can always add more and that's half the fun of it. I'll be back!“

“All I can say is when you come to LA, make sure you stop by and get some great food. We came from Miami to watch the Dolphins play and had an opportunity to have some of Bootsy barbeque. The collards , beans, Mac/cheese and salmon/chicken were outstanding!!! We appreciate how thoughtful and kind he was.

“I've tried just about everything on the menu at Shady Grove Foods and nothing disappoints. I can close my eyes and put my finger on the menu and I would be happy wherever it landed.
