“From the east coast of Buckroe Beach, Virginia to Compton, California, we stopped through Rena’s BBQ soul food spot in Compton and I got to say the food was very delicious especially the greens. When my family and I left we were full and satisfied. You get plenty food for the money. If you stop the LA area give them a try. Thanks again fellas for the hospitality. We will be back!“

We had a great experience at this BBQ restaurant! The food was delicious, fresh, and cooked perfectly. What really made our visit special was our waiter, Chae. He was so nice, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire meal. He made sure we had everything we needed, checked on us regularly, and created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel very comfortable. His excellent service truly stood out and made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

The only small disadvantage was that some desserts were not available during our visit, especially the matcha crepe cake and chocolate crepe cake, which we were looking forward to trying.

Overall, it was still a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this place, and if you get Chae as your waiter, you’re in great hands! 🔥🍖😊“

“Food and service was amazing. Atmosphere rating doesn’t mean much as it’s a takeout spot. The fried cornbread balls were crispy and soft on inside. Brisket was tender and juicy. Loved the beans and potato salad. Drove up from San Diego and took a gamble on this spot and it was well worth it. No pics to add as we tore into it immediately. Also, for $40 it was a great deal.“

“RIBBRO LB is a favorite of my partner’s & I. We had been looking for a local bbq place for sometime and we came across this gem. We’ve had our monthly date night dinners since December 2025 and have no regrets about it.
The BBQ salad is delicious with any of their protein selections. The Classic BBQ sandwich is top notch as well. I’m in love with their coleslaw. Their Pitt-Boss Rice Bowl is heavenly as well. The staff service is so fantastic as well. Needless to say we enjoy coming in once a month.“

“I've tried just about everything on the menu at Shady Grove Foods and nothing disappoints. I can close my eyes and put my finger on the menu and I would be happy wherever it landed. I had Sticky Bones again tonight and I'm as thrilled as the first time I tried them and all the other times I've had them and in fact I feel like tonight's were the best ever. I seriously enjoy their food and hospitality. The hardest part is driving back to Cal Heights without opening the box and start eating. “We had not been to Mongol King since last year. Tonight 4 of us had dinner there. Everything was fresh and clean. The food was great and service was excellent. It’s a fun experience choose the ingredients and take it over to the cooks at the big wok. They cook it and serve it back to you on a plate. At the table there is rice and these puffy bread rolls. Very good. To finish off the meal they have jello, brownies and vanilla ice cream. This is one of our favorite spots in the South Bay. Go there you won’t be disappointed and you will not leave hungry.“
