The service isn’t 5 star but it’s good as it ever was and I’m fine with it. Unfortunately Ihad a very lousy customer service incident on the phone tonight after they botched my delivery order. I ordered grilled cheese sandwich and onion rings. Postmates delivered matzoball soup and rings. Johnny’s customer service lady (didn’t offer name) and the manager refused all responsibility for the wrong item they mispacked; she told me to take it up with Postmates. OK, but meanwhile can I get my sandwich that Johnny’s failed on? “Take it up with Postmates.” When I questioned that logic from a customer service perspective she said “you’re failing to understand!” and told me “don’t get an attitude with me!” I replied “an attitude with YOU?” and she hung up on me. Come on, Johnny’s, this whole thing started with your mistake. Accept responsibility and make it right. Don’t blame delivery. Just make it right.“

Ruben with pastrami was delicious- I personally prefer the filling to the edge of the bread.

Italian Sub- very classic flavors and oh so messy.

NG Sub- overall classic sandwiches vibes, could use some seasoning- no need for cucumbers without a bit of salt.

Monster Special was probably my favorite and the most flavorful.

Potato salad- I don’t think the person who came up with this recipe loves potato salad. It could use some love.

“Beach Hut Deli is a gem! My husband and I stopped by and were blown away by the food and service. I had the Beach BBQ, which was packed with meat, fixins’, and flavor, and my husband loved his Sipcolli. We also shared the Beach Bites, which were a tasty addition. Be warned, we were unable to finish the Bites because our sandwiches were so loaded.

The customer service elevated the experience. My husband originally ordered the Beach Meatball, but they were running low on meatballs. Instead of disappointing us, they upgraded his sandwich to the Sipcolli at no extra charge.
The staff was friendly, the place was spotless, and the vibe was welcoming.

“Today was our first visit to Mendocino Farms in Torrance, where we were warmly greeted by the staff as we walked in. We met with senior manager, Miguel, who assisted us with placing our Thanksgiving order. Miguel definitely represents his brand by being friendly and wanting your experience to be the best (and it was!). After tasting today’s food, it just confirmed we made the right choice for our holiday food. The atmosphere was extremely inviting and clean. This will definitely be one of my weekly stops!“

“If there’s one place known for Vietnamese coffee, it’s this one. That sweet, creamy, ice-cold brew will keep you wired longer than any energy drink. It’s strong, but in the best way. Don’t even bother asking for less ice because the drink is meant to be diluted. Without it, the coffee is way too concentrated (even their bottled version at Costco says to mix it with ice or water!).

As for the food, their banh mi are always solid. Fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Prices have crept up over the years, but that’s pretty much everywhere now. Still worth the visit.“

“This is a mom & pop run sandwich shop that is no frills, but is very solid. The sandwiches I've tried are tasty (vegetarian, ham & cheese, pastrami) and the chicken noodle soup (don't sleep on it) gives me life when I'm sick. Prices are very reasonable, especially in this day and age. You can tell they have loyal, regular customers and I'm now a part of that group.“

“On wednesday, I went to this Subway. I was really hungry, and my mood had been terrible since morning- I had fought with everyone. When I got there, I met Mr. Ravi, an Indian guy. When I asked him for an extra scoop of tuna, he told me it would cost extra, and I got annoyed because it looked too little. I was already angry, but he handled the situation so calmly and respectfully that he actually made me laugh in the end. “Judging by the location, the emptiness of the place, and the quietness of the kitchen, I couldn't help but assume that this restaurant doesn't get much attention.

I still gave it a try. The lady who took my order was really sweet, and her reccomendation of a BLT was spot-on. I waited no longer than 5 minutes for my sandwich, if that. The bread was the real star-I had the softest, tastiest multigrain bread I've ever eaten in my entire life.

The thing about this place is that it's surrounded by soulless, corporate buildings on all sides. It's hidden behind a bank and shares a parking lot with corporate offices. I doubt anyone in the area is actually looking for food, which is the sad part. The quality of the food I had was on-par with many chains that do well purely due to the location.

I will be reccomending this place to anyone in the area. I hope it builds a name for itself to overcome the crappy location.

“Growing up in San Diego, where Board & Brew is from I must’ve had it countless times growing up. In fact, my high school was just down the street from the Del Mar location, which was the very first location, and I would have that at least once a week during senior year of high school. I still love it just as much today and the flavors are honestly the same today as they were back then which is so refreshing and what makes B&B special. We stopped in today at this Torrance location, and I can say that the flavors are just as good as all the others, and it really brings back a lot of memories every single time I eat one of these sandwiches. The staff was very polite, our sandwiches were made quickly, and pricing is fair. There is also a ton of free parking right in front and they do have a small bar inside where you can sit and drink and eat as well. They also have indoor tables as well. I would say it’s one of my favorite sandwich places and I think it’s one of the best sandwiches in Los Angeles. I would highly recommend to anyone and I will continue going back. I’ve been a customer for decades and will continue to be.“
