“I really hope the area's residents (and everyone else too!) appreciates what a gem of restaurant this is & comes to support this place. The food is excellent quality & cooked well. The beverage options are unique, local, & refreshing. And the atmosphere is clean & very good vibes. And the owner/staff puts a lot of love into making it a great establishment. Found it on a whim while driving through the area, and we left very happy that stopped by to try it.“

“So I live in Compton, only a few blocks from the birra spot. I'll be honest, I did not like birria de chivo but I came here for Father's Day because my dad who lives in L.A. wanted to try it. Long story short I had no clue what to order. Gentleman at the window was soo helpful and patient in helping me, the señoras are cooking in the truck so we knew it was going to be good. Anyway my dad loved it, and I tried it and I really enjoyed it. Just be careful with parking the lot they are by was full and and I parked on a side street and I totally missed the sign and got a big fat ticket. ??“

“Tried this place randomly for the 1st time since I don't live around here but was in the area. Did not disappoint, I had the Huevos con Chile Roja and breakfast plate and it was soo good and flavorful the meat was tender and the eggs cooked perfectly over easy. I had it with corn Tortillas ( wish they were handmade) but anyways stiff bomb. Also bad their Shredded beef hardshell tacos comes with Guacamole and Pico de gallo already in it that was also really good. Prices are soo good compared to the San Fernando Valley. Will definitely be back when I'm around.“

“Omg!!!! The food is delicious!!!!and they prepared it right on the spot.
The service is great. They are Vero honest people. I always talked to them and were my work close ,so they knew where i worked. So, I left my credit card on the machine and didn't know I had lost it ,so the next day, I received a call at my job telling me they have my card 🤦‍♀️. I really appreciate the effort they put and the time they took to 5 me . Thank you 😊“

“Went by in the morning ordered a carnitas torta which was good but had little meat and they do not make them with their bollillos, if they did they would me much better tasting. The green chile burrito was bomb , great flavor , not too spicy it was the perfect heat. The pan dulce. Winner as well.“

Last night we enjoyed the Shea location and as always, the food was delicious, the service perfect, etc. Our server was Bella, who could not have been more professional nor attentive. “Maybe I had the wrong meal, Chile verde plate. The tortillas get 6 stars if it was possible, they're amazing!!!! The pork or chile was missing flavor, and refried beans were too runny. The tortillas saved the meal and their hot sauce is made with habaneros that gave flavor to the chile verse. Been here before but I dont recall what I had. My niece who's 2 1/2 had the pancakes and they were bland, so much that she only had a bite or two and that was it for her.“

“It has been almost thirty years since I've been to Albertios. I found this location by total accident. Longer than 30 years ago, I was working with local bands inSanDiego, and after wrapping everything up, we'd go to Albertos or Robertos, and I thought about this while I was eating. All locations are designed the same, same menu and omg... the hotel carrots are still awesome. Of course, today, the prices have increased, but the food was soooo worth it. Ty for awesome food and bringing back some great memories...“

“Great little burger shack. It has outside seating with a few quick order windows. They have alot more than just burgers. Very reasonably priced meal and the staff is friendly n helpful. Fair to say I was surprised my first visit, but I've been coming back ever since. Looks can deceiving.

Also everything is sold separately like Wtheck y'all need to start selling combs especially with the hamburger and sandwiches as well ..“

“Don’t let the city scare you, this is a very nice and clean restaurant.

The food is very good, they serve both Salvadoran and Mexican food. I have only tasted the Salvadoran food, pupusas, sopa de pata, traditional breakfast etc. the dining area is spacious and will accommodate a large family. If you want authentic tasting pupusas or Salvadoran food this would be the place to eat.

There is plenty of onsite parking for both the restaurant and the other business.“

“As you can see, I frequent this restaurant a lot. Lately, I’ve noticed a new cashier, short brunette hair glasses, and she doesn’t know what you offer. 2 times, today being the second, I’ve come in and ordered the BLT wanting a side salad for my side dish and she has replied that you don’t offer it. Luckily, it was another lady in front who interjected and said “we do” and showed her where it was on register. Today I come in wanting a BLT w/side salad and with an unflattering tone said “we can’t do that”. I ask her does she remember us going over this the first time she says “no we don’t offer that here”. There was another lady there who was on the phone and I proceeded to wait until she got off the phone to ask her. When she sees me about to take it a step farther by asking someone else ONLY THEN she says “I guess we can do that.” She was trying to get me to pay an extra 6.99 for a side salad. I wonder how many who have gone through this who did not ask any further questions to someone different has this happened to. The lady gets off the phone and I ask her she states “yes, you can get a salad as your side.” I order an executive box with 3 cookies. As always, they forget to give me my cookies. I tell the cashier w/glasses they forgot to put cookies in. Do you know this lady has the audacity to say “let me check your bag” after she seen me checking bag as if I was lying trying to get free cookies. She says after throughly searching “you did not get 3 from here” pointing to basket. I say no. She says “ you can get three”. She didn’t say thank you after handing me my receipt, no greeting just NOTHING! She needs to learn the menu and improve her customer service immensely. I love coming here but I dislike after paying $14 for lunch, leaving restaurant in a sour mood d/t inept customer service.“

“I liked the people and the customer service was very good. They were not fake—they greeted me, took my order, and worked fast and efficiently. The place was clean; however, there were no trash cans around to dispose of trash, which was inconvenient. The food quality was not the best, but it worked well for a Christmas party“

“I found this spot while biking whit my wife. Stopped here when there was only three lights not tarp and no change to give back cause we where first customers. “From the east coast of Buckroe Beach, Virginia to Compton, California, we stopped through Rena’s BBQ soul food spot in Compton and I got to say the food was very delicious especially the greens. When my family and I left we were full and satisfied. You get plenty food for the money. If you stop the LA area give them a try. Thanks again fellas for the hospitality. We will be back!“
