“The Station Tavern is a great family eatery. Pet and kid friendly. Our family gathering was delightful. Staff was very accommodating as some of us arrived early to secure a table the rest 30 minutes later. Staff kept checking to make sure everyone was accommodated.

“I love taco Tuesdays. This is one of my favorite places for tacos. The hamburgers are great and Sunday brunch is always fun. I love 💕 like on St. Patrick’s Day. They had corn beef tacos, which were totally killer. On Thursdays one of their specials is a hotdog and fries. They have a bun length hot dog with a spiral cut, and a nice big fluffy roll instead of the traditional hotdog bun. The fries are hot and delicious. They have some of the best tasting sliced pickles. I can never find delicious pickles like that at the store. On taco Tuesday, I would love to have a hot dog taco. That is how much I love their hotdogs. I’ve never had a bad meal. Everything is delicious.“

Was our bartender. Service was out of this world. We had asked another bartender where all the service people go when they get off, and he told us about this place. And the pizza!!!!! Wow!! We had the PBR (pickle, bacon, ranch) and it was incredible. Doesn’t look like it from the outside, but 5 stars all around!!“

“If you are looking for a drink/snack right on the beach in PB then this is the place for you. First off, they have excellent breakfast, so go there for that if you are hungry and it's before noon. Secondly, if it is after noon, the menu options are good. The parking is limited, but there is an underground public-pay lot right below this place. The only downside is that all the drinks are served in plastic disposable cups so it's not the best for the environment, but they have recycle bins for the cups/bottles at least. I can't get over how great the view from the patio at this place is and so if you're looking for a casual place to grab a drink and sit outside and enjoy the beach, definitely come here!“

“A Fantastic down home little local sports bar with GREAT burgers, a friendly staff, large outdoor partially covered smoking area. It's Dog friendly, has a pool table, a jukebox and Lots of satelite feed TV's inside and out. At the stick you can watch almost any sporting event and enjoy!“

“The restaurant has a great location overlooking the beach. Food is also really tasty. The chicken strips are really good if you like coconut and the tuna tartare was delicious. They also have a nice beer selection and drink menu. Service left something to be desired, but overall I liked the restaurant and plan to be back again“

“This little spot was fantastic! Truly some of the best food I've had in SD. I ordered the Godzilla hot dog, my husband got the Pastrami Tsunami, and we shared the pierogi plus grabbed a couple beers. The service was friendly and super fast. The food was fresh, and I think the sign said they make their own sausages. The sausage was phenomenal: flavorful, spicy without being overbearing, and seemed lean (no squishy, fatty deposits). The food, although very comfort forward, didn't leave us feeling heavy. The seating is all outdoor at little patio style tables just down from a little fishing pier and next to The Rady Shell. This is now one of my favorite spots; looking forward to going back.“

“Best kept secret in the Gaslamp!!! Came here during ComicCon. Yes busy, but waitress was on top of everything. Our food was delicious, arrived hot and was beyond expectations. We got the Chimichurri skewers, cup of chili (home-made not from a can), wings with Cali green sauce and the butter burger. The butter burger and skewers just melt in your mouth. The Cali green wings while described as being spicy, were very mild and tasty to me. Our drinks were very tasty and refreshing.“

“Fun Gay Bar & Grill with a patio and daily happy hour. Full menu of Mexican food, burgers, wings, and cocktails. I had the grilled veggie salad with chicken, and it was very tasty with lots of garlic and seasonings, and a very healthy alternative to the rest of the menu!“

“We only recently learned about Sal's Cantina and we were eager to try the food. The space is great (which is shared with Rosemary & Thyme in the morning), especially the very comfortable outdoor garden patio. Sal was very friendly and provided great, attentive service. And the food was delicious! I ordered a birria taco, a pollo asado taco, with beans and rice. My friend had a birria enchilada (not on the menu, but Sal fixed it up for us). All of the food was fresh and great quality. We also were greeted with complimentary chips and salsa, which was a great starter with our passionfruit margaritas. One high note, all of the food was lightly salted, which is something I very much appreciated. It's easy to add salt if you want more, but too many restaurants over-salt, and you can't do anything to lessen that after the fact. We will definitely be back!

Parking: Sal's doesn't have any dedicated parking. You can choose from metered parking along University Ave, or look for free street parking along the side streets. Pretty much the same for many Hillcrest restaurants.“

“My wife, daughter, and I are visiting from the East Coast. I located Gossip Grill from an online search. There are two sides to the Grill as well as an outdoor seating area. One side it great for socializing and the other side has a dance floor. The atmosphere for Lesbians is a safe friendly atmosphere. Last night from 6pm until 10pm was for age 40+ which had a good mixture of women and a few men. The music from the DJ was decent but a few songs caused just standing on the dance floor. The next DJ came in at 10pm and she was amazing. After 10pm the younger crowd came in and after a few great songs, it was time for me to go. If you’re ever in the San Diego area, this is a must visit.“
