“The beach club is a great and very relaxing place with a spectacular view of the ocean and good food and fantastic bands on certain days of the week and bingo on Monday night and dance lessons on Tuesday. I don’t like the security people but the staff are great! I was making a few coughs and was told to stop but there were no other people in the club and I was not sick. I thought that was rude!“

“Went specifically for the lobster pot pie tasting event. Started with a Mai Tai which was the best I'd had in a long time. The pot pie was large, filled with good sized pieces of lobster and had a very flaky crust. Had creme brulee for dessert which was superb - very creamy with a perfectly crackled caramel top. Ashley, our server, was attentive, but didn't hover. All drinks and courses were brought to the table in a very timely fashion. It was very quiet for a holiday evening and the decor had been changed since our last time there and we found it to be very stark.“

“It was a cool way to enter a speakeasy. The drinks took a while to come out. Not crazy long though. But the drinks in quality were pretty basic. Most whiskey based drinks tasted like a regular old fashioned.

“Loved our lunch at Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar at the Fashion Valley Mall! Such relaxing vibes, it feels like you’re on vacation. We had to get the frozen pina colada and Mai tai to match the vibe. We decided to do just appetizers and were very pleased with our choices of ahi tuna tacos, coconut shrimp, steak flatbread, and chicken tacos. Very friendly and accommodating service. Dog friendly. “My husband was in a business dinner and they walked some of gaslamp afterwards. After they parted ways, he needed to use the bathroom so he ran in the closest restaurant. They said he couldn't use it unless he was a customer. I totally get that but they were packed out so it made no sense.... Either way, he bought a chicken quesadilla to go. He brought it back to the room for me and our sons to have. It tasted good...until my youngest son spit out a piece of plastic he found inside the quesadilla. My Husband called about it the next day bc they were then closed. Their response was "oops sorry" like wth?! They then said "bring it back along with the plastic." No mention of a refund or investigation of how it happened. And by that point, room service had come and took the box of the rest of the food plus no one wanted to fight downtown traffic and pay to park to have them possibly offer us another quesadilla . 🙄 Again the food we did eat, minus the plastic, was good but the service wasn't.“

I love that they always have seasonal menu items depending on what’s in season. Pool is free, AC kicks butt, and they have a great outdoor space if you ever did have a larger group. “Had a 50th birthday party at Longball and it was nothing short of AMAZING! Had to find a location last minute because our original venue flaked out, and I’m SO glad they did! Daniel responded to my inquiry immediately and invited me to the bar to talk and try out some of the amazing cocktails. He worked with me and suggested everything from decorations to food vendors. It’s so hard to find an open, honest, CARING establishment these days, but Daniel, Caroline and Demetri are just that!

We had around 50 people at the party, but we easily could have had 100 and be completely comfortable. The bar seating is great. The tables inside are great, the Leather furniture and all the televisions are great. The outdoor patio is great. And the simulator… you guessed it, GREAT!

Everyone was SO accommodating from the get go. After I confirmed that we wanted to book with Daniel, Caroline was immediately in touch to iron out the details, choosing the cocktails to offer, time frames for set up/tear down, food options, decorations and my favorite part, the customized drink menus. So cool! We had everything finalized within 3 days.

Everyone at the party LOVED the venue. The sound level was perfect, Demetri and Caroline behind the bar were amazing, and Daniel spent a lot of time walking around talking to everyone, making sure everyone was happy and even taking orders and delivering cocktails for those high maintenance friends 🤣 Bottom line, everyone had SUCH a fun time, and were talking about it all week afterwards. 2 friends even like it so much that they are most likely going to book their kids’ graduation parties there in the Spring!

I could go on for days, but I’m just going to leave it at this: if you’re having a party, you need to do it at Longball. Period.“

(5 times since the spring) I finally a writing this review because of the exceptional service we receive every single time from both Shayla and Damien who work at the rooftop bar. They remembered us by name after the very first visit, are so accommodating and both very hard workers, attentive and polite- rare for young people these days- especially in hospitality. Shayla always makes sure we are taken care of and is sweet and personable and Damien is always on his grind! Always moving! He takes his job seriously and has great energy. Both of them are always one step ahead which is exactly how you should be in the service industry. It’s not an easy job! I’ve also witnessed them both deal with difficult guests with professionalism and grace. They both deserve props for their efforts!“
