“The beach club is a great and very relaxing place with a spectacular view of the ocean and good food and fantastic bands on certain days of the week and bingo on Monday night and dance lessons on Tuesday. I don’t like the security people but the staff are great! I was making a few coughs and was told to stop but there were no other people in the club and I was not sick. I thought that was rude!“

“Went specifically for the lobster pot pie tasting event. Started with a Mai Tai which was the best I'd had in a long time. The pot pie was large, filled with good sized pieces of lobster and had a very flaky crust. Had creme brulee for dessert which was superb - very creamy with a perfectly crackled caramel top. Ashley, our server, was attentive, but didn't hover. All drinks and courses were brought to the table in a very timely fashion. It was very quiet for a holiday evening and the decor had been changed since our last time there and we found it to be very stark.“

“This was our second time at Bar Kamon and it is becoming one of our favorite cocktail bars in San Diego. The hospitality of the host and bartenders is superior to most bars in San Diego, the bartenders are very cool, polite, knowledgeable and eager to explain the drinks. Kamon is definitely doing the Japanese cocktail bar hospitality thing right. From diligently and promptly refilling our water glasses in between our drinks, to offering suggestions and asking for feedback on our cocktails, it's a very pleasant drinking experience.“

“My husband was in a business dinner and they walked some of gaslamp afterwards. After they parted ways, he needed to use the bathroom so he ran in the closest restaurant. They said he couldn't use it unless he was a customer. I totally get that but they were packed out so it made no sense.... Either way, he bought a chicken quesadilla to go. He brought it back to the room for me and our sons to have. It tasted good...until my youngest son spit out a piece of plastic he found inside the quesadilla. My Husband called about it the next day bc they were then closed. Their response was "oops sorry" like wth?! They then said "bring it back along with the plastic." No mention of a refund or investigation of how it happened. And by that point, room service had come and took the box of the rest of the food plus no one wanted to fight downtown traffic and pay to park to have them possibly offer us another quesadilla . 🙄 Again the food we did eat, minus the plastic, was good but the service wasn't.“

“Favorite college neighborhood bar. Their natural wine selection is always on point as well as their beer selection. Food is delicious. I love that they always have seasonal menu items depending on what’s in season. Pool is free, AC kicks butt, and they have a great outdoor space if you ever did have a larger group. Dogs are also allowed which is nice if we ever wanna bring our pup.“
