“Chef Joann was an absolute pleasure to work with. When we first reached out to Chef Joann, she was a little bit out of our price range, but she was able to work with us and our budget in order to be the caterer for our wedding. We went and met Joann and did a food tasting with her and she was so hospitable and nice we knew we had found the caterer for us, not to mention the food was absolutely amazing. Luckily, Chef Joann had worked our venue before so that took all the worries and stress from trying to plan and connect her with our venue and coordinator. She was able to work with us, even through all the craziness of 2020 and we were able to figure out a way to make things work efficiently and safely without jeopardizing the layout or food. The bartenders she was able to bring went above and beyond and really helped to get the party started for our wedding. They were constantly bringing my wife and I drinks as we would be empty handed and socializing with our guests. It was really cool how well the entire crew took care of not only us but all of our guests. With me being the wayI am, I wanted to help Joann and her crew and she would joke with me to be quiet, have fun and get married. It really felt like a family member or close friend was there, had our back and was taking care of us. It was a really cool dynamic and took all the stress out of the day. The food Joann conjures up is not easily put into words. The appetizers she did for the cocktail hour as well as the cheese boards she created for each table were astounding. They were above and beyond anything we had expected. I had guests coming up to me all night commenting on how amazing the cocktail hour was along with the dinner. We are so happy we picked Joann to take control and be a part of our big day. I would highly recommend Joann to anyone who wants amazing a delectable food from someone who is so easy going and easy to work with, you feel like you have known them for years. For example, yesterday I was setting up lighting at their newly remodeled Marina Village Sunset View room. Their contact person Julie was kind enough to answer all of my questions and gave me the flexibility to tear down the lights either at night or the following morning, which was a huge help. The new version of the Sunset View room is modern, elegant and artistic. I love the huge light bar they installed. “Delicious! All the meats are flavorful and not dry at all, the homemade tortillas are so good, rice and beans are great plus Tomas brings all the fixings and plates, napkins and plasticware. We just used Taquizas Tomas to cater our son’s birthday party and all our guests were super happy and well fed plus we had leftovers to enjoy after the party. It also made our lives so much easier not having to worry about prepping any food. Tomas is great to work with and we definitely recommend them!“

“Brigette made the catering part of our wedding plans super easy. She communicated with us clearly and followed up in a timely fashion whenever we had questions. They also at last minute, took on cake cutting! Niko, Sean and Scott were so professional the day of my reception and were just so friendly and just a pleasure all around. The food was amazing. I'm not a baked bean kinda gal, but I have to say these are by far the best ones I've ever tried. The jalapeños really added to them ?. The tri-tip was delicious and the chicken was juicy!
So the cake cutting was a fun one... they were so worried about cutting it wrong but they did great! We highly recommend them!“

“We loved our mother daughter lunch! The Henry is very clean and has a welcoming ambience. I got the club and it was the beast club l have ever had. Lots of meat and lettuce it was delich! My daughter got the Kale and squash salad. She ate every last bit and also loved her food. Our server was super sweet l wish l remember her name but she was young and blond with these great black pointy nails. Perfect for spooky season. She was attentive and prompt. I really like that if you call them and they don’t pick up, they will text you later on and you can place your order and pick up time via text message.

“Had a sweet tooth, was driving past & I made my husband drop me off because I only saw the word “bakery.” So glad I came up on this place in a whim!!! I had the best Pecan Sandies I’ve ever had and a delicious peanut butter cookies dipped in chocolate. The man at the counter was very nice and offered so many suggestions. “Affordable Affairs came highly recommended to me from a venue, the Bernardo Heights Community Center. They had just recently used their services for their Christmas party. I was having my father’s Celebration of Life and needed a catering company. I was then given David’s card. I called him and received a response in a timely manner. After we briefly discussed what I needed he sent a recommended menu and an estimate. We liked the menu he sent over but also made a few small changes. David was very accommodating and easy to work with. His prices were fair and reasonable. The service and food were outstanding just as the Community Center had said, and I highly recommend this catering company!!“
