“Went specifically for the lobster pot pie tasting event. Started with a Mai Tai which was the best I'd had in a long time. The pot pie was large, filled with good sized pieces of lobster and had a very flaky crust. Had creme brulee for dessert which was superb - very creamy with a perfectly crackled caramel top. Ashley, our server, was attentive, but didn't hover. All drinks and courses were brought to the table in a very timely fashion. It was very quiet for a holiday evening and the decor had been changed since our last time there and we found it to be very stark.“

“A wonderfully relaxing place if you were in the area, Oscar and other servers, every bartender, and their host Elena, are wonderful representatives of hospitality. The restaurant and bar area are very well kept up and clean. You can't beat the views and there's outdoor fire pits as well as the comfortable indoor seating.

The food is great, not totally fancy but done well, and the menu has enough diversity to be to be interesting. You can't beat the value for happy hour from 5:00 to 6:00, but even after hours or before.... The staff goes above and beyond to be helpful, and it's a very enjoyable experience.

If you want a healthy bowl, they are flavorful with a perfect avocado fresh grilled chicken, roasted sweet potatoes and hummus. I would have loved it pool side.

The flatbreads are very generous in size, with delicious crust, and you can't beat the crispy brussels sprouts!

If you're staying at the property, there's lots of options nearby but if you're looking for a night in definitely come by here. If you're outside of the property it's a nice stop too!“

“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.“

“Excellent food and very good service. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. It was expensive for breakfast, but great for a special occasion.“

“They changed their vegan gardein chicken for the wings and the orange chicken entrée and it's just not as good. A huge bummer since we've been enjoying those dishes for years with no problems. The new stuff has texture issues and doesn't cook as crispy. Thankfully they have other vegetarian options and a great beer list so we'll continue going, just probably not as much as we used to.“

“Absolutely beautiful view as we were seated by the window. We arrived with no reservation but they let us have a table before their reservation came in; great customer service! We started off with the Salmon Belly Nigiri which was excellent, especially having been stationed in Japan for 8+ years this was a great cut of fatty salmon. The Buffalo Onion Rings were delightfully delicious as the breading was cooked well; it did not fall apart as I took each bite. The buffalo sauce was a great touch along with the bleu cheese crumbles. Just make sure you eat it quick as the onion rings sit in the sauce, given it took a bit before it started to get soggy.
The fish & chips were extremely crispy and the fries perfectly seasoned. The grilled lemon gave it the smokiness flavor and went extremely well with the fish. The Alaskan cod was not fishy whatsoever, a great entree. For all the mushroom lovers, I am guilty for being one myself we’re perfectly caramelized atop the Chilean Seabass dish. The risotto was creamy and light, and the fish freshly cooked. A great place for the family or a date night. I would definitely go again!“

“Very fun and lively atmosphere! The design is very well done. The food was great, I personally loved the oysters as they were served differently than I have experienced. The jalapeño Caesar salad was also amazing! Had a kick! Main dishes I enjoyed were the burger, and the chicken, very good and flavorful. Very fun and different cocktails to choose from along with fun zero proof options which is great if you do not drink alcohol. Service was spectacular, very kind, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. We will be coming back!“

“My husband and I had the absolute pleasure to dine at Juniper and Ivy for our 33 year anniversary. Not only did they have special menus for us, but we had a complete and very special experience start to finish.The staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable. We had what I would consider the best seats in the restaurant. We sat up at the kitchen bar, and were treated to an amazing dinner and “show “ The kitchen crew were so impressive and friendly to each other and us. We had such a great experience, that we canceled reservations at another restaurant on the same block for later in the week, so we could come back and try more. Same amazing experience at the next visit. Highly recommend, when we come back to SD we will prioritize another visit. Thank you so much for such a great experience!“
