The wait to be seated is long. Would not have waited but one person in our group was visiting from out of state and insisted.“

“When I visited, the place was buzzing with Chinese grandmas and grandpas enjoying the dim sum deals, which I took as a very good sign! I ordered the fish congee: generous portion, rich flavour, and super filling. I have to say it’s a steep price for what’s traditionally a humble, comfort-food breakfast. However, a good experience overall.“

Blame covid for the price increases and there are sign posted to make you aware of the increase. it's the best food and most reasonable prices in town. if you cant afford a 11 dish then don't buy or complain about it. “This was a great find in the Irvine/New port beach area. Just 5 minutes from the SNA airport. There were plenty of parking in the free parking lot and the restaurant was nicely renovated. You can order directly via cell phone online menu or off a traditional menu. Portion was superb in the OC area and the price was very reasonable. The food options contain both American Chinese stables and many authentic Chinese dishes. Many dishes were so Chinese that were not seen in any other restaurants nearby. Must try if you are looking for Chinese food in the LA region.“

I was married to a Chinese man and shared meals with his family many times over the course of 26 years. The Jalapeno chicken at No. 1 Chinese food rivals any I've had.

Large servings and tasty food mean that I'll come back to this place again the next time I visit my son. He's in college in the area and when I visit we like to try local food places.

Tucked in the corner of the strip mall, it was busy with people coming in to take their meals out. Steady flow of customers while we were there around 1pm.

We got orange chicken as well and both chow mein and fried rice

“Got take-out from here and it ended up being pretty decent. Went with the kaisen yakisoba which I was worried would be too garlicky given the way it smelled on the drive home but it was really pleasantly seasoned with a good amount of seafood. Also grabbed karaage because it was 50% off the day I went (Tuesdays). I probably didn't need this: it was nicely seasoned but the crispiness was a bit lacking and parts of it were frankly soggy.

The food court itself is pretty solid with a bunch of rice/noodle/etc options. I will say most of the things here, including this takeout and the market itself, are rather on the pricy side. However, the food was made quickly and I got a little buzzer so I could explore the market while waiting. It's overall a pretty lively place and it's nice that they have a parking garage.“
