“My review is for the new thin cookies.
I went during the free thin cookie giveaway and bought the Dubai style chocolate cookie. $7 for 2 thin cookies. I got the brownie batter and it was great, falling apart but good. Taste wise for Dubai chocolate was also good. Cookie quality in terms of taste is not the issue. I love chewy cookies but I'm giving it 3 stars for value and also how my cookies stuck together by the time I got home, which was less than 2 miles, so packaging fail. The ladies working at the shop was nice and quick. But $7 for 2 filmsy cookie is a bit expensive in my opinion.“

The quality of the brigadeiros is superb—each one is such a lovely treat! From the beautiful presentation and thoughtful packaging to the variety of flavors and high-quality ingredients, every detail reflects the care and passion Maya puts into her business.

We also brought our little dog with us, and she was welcomed so warmly and received lots of attention. We’re so happy we found this place. “Chikara Mochi is a childhood favorite store. The mochi is so beautiful! With so much attention to detail it’s hard to eat lol. Moreover, the service is always fantastic when I go there. The way they welcome the customers feels so wonderful in comparison to other long-standing mochi shops (like Fugetsu Do; where sadly, service pales in comparison). Chikara Mochi highly recommended!“

We discovered Anko within walking distance of his apartment.
Wonderful service and cute ambience.
There is nothing like the fluffy and cloudy texture of binsu ice. I chose the pumpkin with red beans, to try something different. The flavor of the pumpkin was very subtle. I enjoyed the refreshing treat, not too sweet.
My son said that his iced matcha latte hit the spot.
I want to try that taiyaki next time I come to visit.“

“Came down for the night with friends and found this amazing churro stand. Immediately was greeted kindly as if we were friends.
The churros ARE INSANELY GOOD! Not to doughy, not hard and they were still soft the next day after being in the box, on the table all night.

The presentation was impressive. The churros were not over cooked or greasy. The oil the churros were cooked in was not old. The sugar and cinnamon were quality.

Not enough going things to say about this experience except Ncal needs this churro experience locally and WE ARE DEFINITELY COMING BACK!“

“As others have said, don’t let this inconspicuous shop fool you. These mochi have incredible flavor and texture, and while they are a few dollars a piece, I think hand crafted sweets deserve a little support, no?

The person that helped me was friendly and explained the various flavors so I could fill a 10pc box with a variety. My favorites were the pink mochi and imo manju. Bring cash!“

The snow has perfect, light texture with creamy milk flavor with mango chunks underneath and capped with a generous scoop of their mango ice cream. Also included are small bowls of sweet sticky rice, mango syrup, mango chunks and sweetened condensed milk.

This is large enough to share among 4 people. Seats and tables are limited so during busy times you will have to wait to be seated. Servers are friendly and helpful. Sample their ice cream when you order; the flavors are unique!“

“My favorite place to hang in LA. The staff is super sweet, the food is fantastic, the drinks are amazing, particularly the Ginger Margarita, the atmosphere is gorgeous—whether you’re inside the stunning deco bar or outside on the beautiful patio. It’s a true gem.“

They are so light and wobbly that leaning on one or even setting down your drink feels risky. I’m not sure if they have parking close by since we walked from a parking garage a few blocks away. We arrived a little late, but the staff were still accommodating and friendly.

The halo‑halo was good, and overall the visit was okay. A simple spot for a quick dessert, especially if you’re already in the area.

“It is one of my favorite places to go and get a churro!! Reasonable prices for the family! Only downside is if you are trying to get some churros on the weekends it is hard to find parking around the area! And do expect a long line to get your churro. Other than that churros are spectacular and delicious. Worth the wait and hassle.“
