“Eating a lot of their food past four months through Grub Hub due to being unable to walk. It’s always excellent. Tonight’s was super excellent, chop suey with beef extra snow peas and Napa cabbage. Been cooking for over 60 years and this is one of the best and healthiest things I have ever eaten.
Also a bargain…one order is enough for three meals!!!

“We went here for lunch on a weekday so that it's not so busy in LaJolla. Parking was still an issue and we ended up parking in a lot for $20.
We were seated at the last table by the window. Yes! Gorgeous view of the ocean, the many varieties of birds, and sea lions sunbathing on the beach below.
We took advantage of their great lunch special. You get to choose an appetizer and entree. We both chose the pork belly bao and a full size ramen combo for $18. The Me So Hot ramen was delicious with a nice heat. Delicious!“

“This is going to be my poke spot. The portion was so generous. I don’t know what mammoth size poke bowl people are used to but I was stuffed after getting a regular. The fish, the avocado - everything was so fresh. The server recommended the eel sauce which was so umami and delicious.“

“Tanya was our server and was incredibly friendly as well as very helpful explaining the items showing how attentive and well-versed in the menu she was. Leyna was also very approachable. Overall the music was very nice and made quite the comforting environment.“

“we've been 3 times in the past few months and every time was great. we went the day after my wife's birthday, the same day our pet passed, and the staff made it a very special experience and distraction from our loss. absolutely recommend 110%. great food, great people, great experience overall.“

“Today was my second visit, and the food was truly healthy, delicious, and very clean.
Today I had the Hainanese chicken and the seafood and tofu clay pot — both highly recommended!
The crispy duck I had on my first visit was also fantastic.
I accidentally left my credit card after paying, but the staff came all the way to the parking lot to return it to me.
They were so kind and I was really grateful. Thank you!!!“

“We got the not-so-pork banh mi and the tofu banh mi, both without mayo to make it vegan. The staff are super friendly and kind, and it was easy and straightforward to get the order veganized. The tofu banh mi was a bit plain (they offered us peanut sauce instead of mayo, which we had declined. Next time, we’ll say yes, haha!), but the not-so-pork banh mi was excellent. Would go back!! “Came here for the nori fish sandwich because I saw Philip's TikTok. The fry was perfect and it tasted heavily of nori which I appreciate. It needs a little bit of acidity to cut the fatiness of the fish and sauce. Imagine if the onions were pickled instead then it would be perfect. The smell of the popcorn chicken in the air was all consuming but I was too full to order that one. The sesame milk was so grainy. That's probably expected but at the same time it probably shouldn't be made into a drink. It tastes like the inside of a sesame ball so it tasted like too much after a couple sips. You definitely need to order it as 0% sweetness. The hojicha latte was pretty forgettable.“

“I recently went to Sago and honestly loved the whole experience. The vibe was very tropical Tulum-inspired super cute, aesthetic, and perfect for a cute date, night out with girls or content spot!
We tried a few dishes and everything was so good:
The kimchi marble potatoes were crispy and flavorful with the cilantro, chimichurri, and chive crema (definitely one of my favorites). The cucumber salad was really fresh and light with a nice kick from the serrano and ponzu. We also had the hamachi ceviche, which tasted super fresh, and the Japanese fried chicken with chive kaluga caviar which was crispy, juicy, and just a really fun, unique dish.
The drinks were also super refreshing and slightly tropical, perfect with the food.
Overall, the atmosphere, presentation, and flavors were all on point. Such a cute Encinitas spot and I’ll definitely be back to try more.“
