“Eating a lot of their food past four months through Grub Hub due to being unable to walk. It’s always excellent. Tonight’s was super excellent, chop suey with beef extra snow peas and Napa cabbage. Been cooking for over 60 years and this is one of the best and healthiest things I have ever eaten.
Also a bargain…one order is enough for three meals!!!

Another of times you go to a restaurant and don't even get a smile. Valerie was very kind and was very polite.“

“We went here for lunch on a weekday so that it's not so busy in LaJolla. Parking was still an issue and we ended up parking in a lot for $20.

We were seated at the last table by the window. Yes! Gorgeous view of the ocean, the many varieties of birds, and sea lions sunbathing on the beach below.

“An excellent place for a first date. It’s quiet enough to talk, yet not so quiet that it feels awkward. The lighting is soft and romantic, and the drink selection is fantastic — especially if you’re into wines or classy cocktails. I appreciated the attention to detail: the garnishes were fresh, glassware elegant, and even the water was served with a cucumber slice. That’s how you know they care about presentation. We stayed for almost three hours, just talking and sipping. Will definitely come back.“

Today I had the Hainanese chicken and the seafood and tofu clay pot — both highly recommended!
The crispy duck I had on my first visit was also fantastic.

My husband and I were there on an anniversary trip from Atlanta and this was a SUPER fun lunch stop as we were out walking Solana Beach. There’s even the tiniest view of the ocean from the front porch bar seats. The customer service was INCREDIBLE. We were served our food quickly even though there were several other customers at the same time. Food portions were very generous. The owner took time to talk to us personally and was incredibly friendly. Seriously one of the highlights of our trip. It’s a “shack” and that’s the vibe they are going for and it totally works. Great atmosphere. Great food. Great service. Not sure what else you could ask for from a fast food establishment. Don’t pass by! Definitely give it a try! It’s something unique.
