“Our visit to Stoke's Adobe last weekend produced the best meal I've had on The Peninsula in a decade! Restauranteur, Sarah Orr, has hit one out of the park. The dishes prepared by Executive Chef, Bryce Hansen, were flawless, my favorties being the seared scallops and truffle chicken. Loved the nod to former occupant and socialite, Hattie Gragg, with the inclusion of the Hattie's Old Fashioned on the cocktail menu :) Looking forward to our next visit and an opportunity to sample other items on their ever evolving menu.“

“Absolutely fantastic restaurant and a breath of fresh air in the Carmel culinary community. The food was incredible and the service was top notch. The space is refreshingly chic and relaxing. The tables are spaced apart to allow for conversation and there's no rush to finish your meal. You are encouraged to linger and enjoy the best meal in Carmel!“

“Everything is a 5, except the wait reservation system. Online it says they don't take reservations. But when we got there a table was being held. Check out butterhouse... their system works great. But aside from that the place was very very good“

“I’ll offer a better than expected review. Our party of five went for Sunday brunch. 1/2 wait for an outdoor table. Excellent Southwest eggs Benedict; chicken fettuccini; fruit salad and Cinnamon toast special with eggs. Chocolate Oreo cake for dessert. Excellent service for a relaxing Sunday. Glad to return and recommend. Cheers!“

“This place was magical from the second we walked through the turquoise-colored door with its old fashioned door knob. We had no reservation & we were coming from Fieldwork brewing (so my hubby really needed to eat). They had no spots available (reservations are nearly necessary here on Fri. & Sat. they informed us later). However, they promptly set up backyard heater & provided blankets for our quickly provided outdoor seating. We ordered 2 shots of mezcal (cause we were outside & it was kinda cold), which the manager informed us they only served the best ;) They sent out it a waitperson who informed us “I’ll be taking care of you tonight.” Which turned out to be true from the service to dinner/dessert recommendations, and packing up our leftover beans to take home. Eventually, they moved us inside because of a cancelation. And I haven’t even started on the carefully crafted cocktails & food. So meticulously crafted, and presented. I rarely favor restaurant food over my own cooking ability, but I can confidently say their food is way better than my own lol. Again, everything was beautiful, perfect, & delicious! Also, I’m thinking the line for coffee & morning eats at their sister bakery Alta can attest to amazing, soon to be Monterey culinary fixture. Thank you for the memorable night & dinner Cella! Cheers! And look forward to seeing you again.“

“The hors d'oeuvre/starters are 5 star. Hamachi crudo, octopus, broccolini, beets oysters etc. All fantastic.
We were somewhat disappointed in the mains. The pork bellies were so-so. The halibut was dry and a bit overcooked. The steak and morels were good but not great.
This was our 2nd visit and we will be back, but may be to just order small plates to share“

“I often ate at Grandma's Kitchen back in the 80s and 90s - and it was the best breakfast place around. Since returning to the area, we were so happy to still see it around. It's still the best breakfast place! Comfortable environment, friendly and fast service with great food.“

At first, I was really skeptical that it won't work but I still kept the faith going until I saw a recommendation about Mrs Craig Vanessa who changed my financial status from grass to grace. Once again I'm really grateful for your help and support towards me and my family in this tough time of the year. “Stopped in for dinner while visiting my parents who live in the Carmel area. Even though it’s not on the main drag, this is a great place to eat for good good, a chill mid century vibe, and friendly staff (thanks Tiffany!). We had the calamari (A+), hangar steak (cooked to perfection), house hummus and veggies, crab cake, and the Caesar salad with grilled prawns (YUM). Kid friendly as well. Def stop in here - breakfast and dinner.“

“Came here while on vacation with my husband for dinner and twice for breakfast. The service was fantastic as well as the food. Fidel was super friendly, kind, and brightened our vacation so much. He is very knowledgeable about the area and wanted to steer us in the right direction when visiting places. His service was outstanding and his team was awesome, too. Next time we vacation in Monterey we hope to see him again! The food, as I mentioned earlier, was fantastic. I got the cauliflower steak and was surprised how good it was. My husband got the award-winning clam chowder bread bowl and he said it was the best he’s ever had. Normally restaurants will load up their chowder with potatoes, but in his bowl, there were plenty of clams. We finished off the night with the chocolate cake and a scoop of ice cream to pair with the wine we brought. Amazing combination.
Thank you to Fidel and his team for making our dining experiences unforgettable!
The breakfast buffet was also amazing. They had a made-to-order omelet and waffle bar as well as a ton of other items in the buffet, including: sausage, bacon, eggs, roasted potatoes, corn beef hash, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, muffins, donuts, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal and toppings, hard boiled eggs, and more.“

“For hotel breakfast places, this is one of the best I've been too. Preparation is like a standalone restaurant than hotel dining. Portions are med/large, and coffee is dark brewed. View of the small pond adds to the dining experience. Highly recommend eating here, prices are fairly reasonable.“

“I’m from out of state. A group of us travel several times a year and have tried many restaurants. We always try to go to restaurants we wouldn’t have at home. This was by far the best. The homemade French press hot tea, Bloody Mary, rice and beans, cabbage rolls, caeser salad and turkey lentil soup. I can’t say enough about the owner and food. Give them a try!“

“This place is in the Embassy Suites- that’s important for info on atmosphere and finding it! Really nice ambiance- we ended up here as it was the only place open past nine and we had just gotten into town and needed dinner and drinks and got both here with very friendly service. You can sit away from the bar area if the hotel bar is hoppin’.Limited menu- but totally sufficient and nice representation of local produce.
Parking: Says paid parking only- we are t hotel guests so hoping for the best ?“

Right on the golf course so you have great views from the inside, and outside, seating. The staff was great. Very helpful and attentive to my specially ordered sandwich and were very courteous.Food came out fast and hot and made to order. Beers are in a stand-up fridge, and we're exceptionally cold. The menu had a great set of options to choose from as well.
Vegetarian options: Menu had vegetarian options.

Parking: Large parking lot for the golf course and grill.

“The food here was very good! My buddy and I were on a trip and it was so good that we ate here two days in a row. Everything tasted very fresh and the portions were big but not too much. The atmosphere is casual but very nice and clean. The staff were friendly albeit a bit forgetful. Our waiter forgot to bring us an extra plate both days… also, the price is a little expensive, but for Northern California it wasn’t egregious. I’d certainly recommend this restaurant and would be excited to come back again.“

“In the scenic town of Monterey, nestled among the more prominent establishments, you'll find a hidden gem, the unassuming shack known as The Grill on Lover's Point. This quaint and cozy eatery, perched right on the ocean's edge, offers an unexpectedly delightful culinary experience. The menu, though simple, showcases the art of grilling in its purest form. During my visit, I sampled one of their mouth-watering burgers, a choice that I now recall with great fondness. The patty was expertly grilled to just the right temperature, achieving a balance of a juicy interior and a beautifully charred exterior. It was a symphony of flavors that reminded me of the intrinsic beauty of simple, unpretentious food. The Grill on Lover's Point doesn't rely on fancy décor or elaborate presentations; instead, it thrives on the natural beauty of its surroundings. The rhythmic cadence of the crashing waves and the enticing aroma of the grill form the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable seaside dining experience. In essence, The Grill on Lover's Point serves as a testament to the beauty of simplicity. It's a place where the love for grilling and the passion for quality shine through in every dish. I wholeheartedly recommend their grilled burger, a dish that manages to rise above the ordinary and delight the senses in every way.In conclusion, The Grill on Lover's Point isn't merely a spot to grab a quick bite; it's a destination, an experience, and a tribute to the joy of seaside grilling. Do yourself a favor and don't miss out on this unique place when in Monterey.“

“This bar is the type of clubby leather clad place that is perfect for a “final final”. The bartenders give great service and there is a wide selection of scotches and bourbons and cognac. There are also several televisions and they serve a limited menu of pub food. Sit by the fireplace and relax after fighting the winds at Spanish Bay.“
