“Amazing place to get a bite. I’ve had Spud’s for a few years now. Their clam chowder is the best I’ve ever had. I live 2 hours away, but make sure I get down to bodega bay every few months. The location is awesome, parking can be not great if it’s the weekend and it’s busy. It’s also great they have specials and locally caught seafood. If you haven’t heard of Spud’s then I’m sorry for ya. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone.“

“We were lucky not to be there on a weekend. The place is a no nonsense eatery swarming with flies and bees. Food is as expected fresh from the sea and different options of trying out the oysters. Unfortunately many of them have pork items inside it so it is really an issue for those who do not eat pork. Prices are on the higher side and service is swift. There are makeshift cabins for toilets. A plus point was the free wifi which was really very helpful as there are no 5G signals in that area.
Vegetarian options: none
Dietary restrictions: lots of items have pork which makes it difficult for those who do not eat it
Wheelchair accessibility: difficult“

“The barbecue oysters are fantastic! The clam chowder was a bit of a disappointment. I'd had it about 10 years ago, and it was the best I've ever had. It was briny, full of plump clams, and while it was creamy, it was not thick. What I was served was thick with no evidence of clams. It was like chowder served at Midwestern diners. The service was really attentive and helpful. I'll be back for the oysters, but I'll pass on the chowder next time.“

“We had the best chowder which was loaded with crab and scallops and split a crab sandwich. It couldn’t have been better. So glad we stopped here instead of at the crowded place further down the bay with long lines and a few picnic tables. We had yummy food and a view“
“I just had the best taco of my entire life. It was rabbit sausage with a salsa macha and persimmon. The tortillas were delicious, the sausage was plentiful and juicy, and the salsa macha was the right amount of hot and flavorful. Sooooo good.“

“Best fish and chips! Perfect deep fried crust that has that perfect crunch as you bite and enjoy the hot moist flakey deliciousness that waits inside. No line and just enough serve time to discuss where to next. Who has time for lines, when you could have a quick lunch and check out the beach with the satisfaction of an exquisite digestive experience. My tour guides had the crab sandwich and loved it.“

“I was here with my sister November 10th. We sat at the bar as the restaurant was pretty busy. Food was delicious, sadly the service/bartender was less desirable and not helpful, at all, we seemed more of an inconvenience to him. He had an attitude. Thankfully, the girl was much nicer behind the Bar.“

“The best place to watch a sunset with a cocktail and great food.
Drakes has outstanding service, a vegan/vegetarian menu, and the view from the bar is the best kept secret.
Vegetarian options: All you need to do is request the vegetarian/vegan menu and they have each dish outline in the ways they can accommodate.“

“Plenty of seating. Tables were clean. Good service. We ordered the fish and chips, prawns and chips and onion rings. The fish was extremely bland. Fries were good. Prawns were really good as were the onion rings. We enjoyed the view. Probably won't be back as there are way better places in Bodega to get fish and chips.“

“The Tides Wharf is one of our favorite restaurants to eat at whenever we are in Bodega or driving through! We love the fish tacos and the lemon bars from the bakery! We love sitting along the waters edge and watching the seals!
Dietary restrictions: My son has developmental disabilities and doesn’t like spicy food or his food to touch and they were able to make it just like wanted… he had calamari, shrimp and a burger!“

“The food here was delicious; I really have no complaints taste-wise! The only issue was the price. Everything seemed a little too expensive for what we got. Everybody at the table enjoyed their dish, though. Other than pricing, the restaurant had a great beach atmosphere and amazing service. Just know that their menu is seasonal, so you may not be able to get everything seen here. I recommend Costal Kitchen if you're staying at the nearby resort!“
