“We were recommended to this place by some friends, so we decided to give it a try. We walked in and were immediately greeted, asked if we knew what we wanted. We said we needed a coyote of minutes, but the gentleman said no problem, but answered some questions we had. We ordered the chicken skins, hush puppies and the #1 with light meat (breast and a wing with potato wedges and a roll). The hush puppies were so flavorful, no need for a dipping sauce. The chicken skins were huge and also very flavorful. I finally got to my chicken because it was so hot, I'm not sure because I had the other stuff, but the chicken wasn't as flavorful as the other stuff I had. The potato wedges were good, very hot as well. We will be back! Good value for what you get!“

“My family and I usually get food from here after we work out, especially the more healthier options on their menu. The service here is always top notch. The manager, Nicole, was really helpful and patient when we were ordering our food. The other employees are always friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the restaurant is always spot on. The food is a little expensive, especially the seafood. Other than that, this place is great!“

“This was really a great experience. The burgers were thicker than any typical theme park burger. The burger was prepared perfectly, with care. This was not another one of many burgers slapped on a grill an cooked en masse. The chicken sandwich was also very taste and prepared just right. This meal was a real treat. The gentleman taking our order was very cheerful and engaged. We spoke briefly with the chef while he was wrapping up our order. He was engaging and fun also. After our delicious meal I walked back up to tell them how pleased we were! A great spot!“

“I stopped by Maggie’s Pub & Banquet Hall and it feels like a classic neighborhood pub with a lot more space than you’d expect. The place is pretty big, with a large bar area and a separate banquet hall that’s often used for parties and events. “I hadn’t been here in a long time and decided to stop by for a quick dinner. One of the first things I noticed was that they had switched to self-order kiosks. It actually made ordering much easier. Since I don’t come here often, I wasn’t sure what to get, but having the full menu with pictures and prices on the screen made it easy to look through everything. After just a few taps, my order was placed.

When the food came out, it reminded me why I liked this place. The fresh white fish over rice with vegetables was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, and the flavors worked really well together. The portions were satisfying without being too heavy.

The restaurant was also very clean, spacious, and well organized. I even noticed they have an outdoor patio, which is a nice bonus if the weather is nice. Overall, everything from the ordering process to the food made for a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend giving this place a try.“

“Checked out Anna's Fish Market right in the heart of DTLA and it was a solid spot. I like the location too since you're right in the middle of downtown with plenty of other restaurants and bars nearby. We got the fried red snapper and fried shrimp combo with fries, and both were really good. Nice crunchy batter without being too greasy. We also tried the fish & chips and grilled basa, but my favorite was actually the seafood chowder. Super hearty, packed with flavor, and had a nice kick to it. The ahi poke salad was solid too and gave us something a little lighter to balance out all the fried seafood. The inside isn't huge, but there's still a good amount of seating. Overall, really enjoyed the food and would definitely come back when I'm in Downtown again.“

Update: 3 years later and this place is still one of my favorite places 🥰
We ordered dinner from here today and last week. Food is always clean, light, and yummy! I love their bowls and tacos. My 5-year-old is addicted to their shrimp skewers!
Manager was awesome today. He service was outstanding!
By the way, portions are big compared to price! You feel full because of the amount of protein, and sometimes you have some food left in your bowl.

One thing I'd change about California Fish Grill is the plastic food containers... I believe healthy food should be served in healthier containers.

“I really enjoy my dinner at King Fish House. I wasn’t sure when I got there. We made reservations and the hostess decided to place my husband and I on the bar side. With sports and games on. I don’t know why she thought that’s was a good idea since we both was dress for dinner and not to watch a game on tv. I made reservations for a good dinner table. Maybe she didn’t like the mix race situation. But I seated myself. With respect to her. It all turn out very nice. Our waitress and food was amazing. Will definitely go back. Bad attitude hostess is not a factor.“
