“Crimson Coward's Spicy Chicken Tenders and Sandwich are a win for anyone looking for a flavorful and fiery chicken experience. With customizable heat levels, high-quality ingredients, and a crispy texture, they're sure to satisfy. Just remember, with great spice comes great...responsibility? Maybe grab a drink on the side!“
“Mind blowing! Must try stop in LA!Recommend ordering ahead because waiting in line doesn’t add to the experience or anything and it’s about an hour wait. The sandwich was 100/10 and the fries were the best I’ve ever had in my life- make sure to get the comeback sauce with them.Mac n cheese is nothing to write home about same with the banana pudding but they both add a nice touch to the meal.“
“Such a cute little wine bar in the heart of DTLA! My friend and I decided to catch up over early dinner here. We ordered the coldbrew martini and the non-alcoholic prosecco. We also shared the caesar salad, meatballs, piquillo peppers, and the margherita flatbread. Everything was delicious and tasty. We were pleased with everything we ordered. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. Our service was efficient. There is no free parking available, but we paid to park in a lot nearby.“
“Ordered their taco Thursday special, BBQ brisket tacos. 3 tacos for ten bucks. These were probably the best tacos I've ever had, easily gourmet tacos. Tacos this delicious, I would expect to pay nearly triple what I paid here. I'm debating ordering more as I type this.“
“The menu is somewhat eclectic and unusual for this type of place, which is great. I had the chicken fried steak on my first visit and found the breading to be too thin, oily, and not at all crispy. The next time I came I had a steak - boy it was really salty. But I swear I like this place. The service is always top notch, the breads are unusual, the beer list is surprisingly capable, and the patio is gorgeous.“
“First off, the prices are pretty reasonable for the area. In the Arts District where you can expect your coffee to be $7, $9ish for a full cocktail is not bad! I've enjoyed everything here, the fried chicken in particular was well-seasoned. The only thing I thought was meh was the fried broccolini, the batter was a little too heavy for me so I didn't finish it.You seat yourself and can either order using the QR code at your table or try to flag someone down, but mobile order seems faster. There is also self-serve water. My only suggestion is that sometimes it can get quite sunny so would be nice to have some kind of shades when the sun is getting low and get in your eyes.Update: sounds like the shade issue has been resolved since I've last gone! Thanks Théron!“
“Very tasty and flavorful. Pretty heavy though. Fries are good for the first few bites. Afterwards, need some sort of sauce. All burgers and sandwiches are generally good. The smash burger is affordable, and the patty is decent quality, but mine was a little bland and started breaking apart. Their briskets are decent -- tender and flavorful. Will definitely return.“
“This was my first time and the food was delicious. I had the pork chops with gravy over rice, yams and greens. The pork chops was tender and the gravy was finger licking good. my sister had the gumbo and it was good. Not too spicy. Even the home made lemonade was good. I will definitely be back and bring my friends. The owner was very friendly and nice.“
“Best seafood boil I've ever had!!! And affordable!!! This is our favorite boil place!!!Parking: The lot is small but we've never had an issue finding parking.Kid-friendliness: We've taken my friends toddler here a few times. As kid and baby friendly as any other place.“
“This is not the first time I’ve been to this place, but I will say every time I come to this restaurant I am greeted with great service and great food. I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a great meal it’s a family oriented location, and great service. I just love this place.“
“I went for lunch with a friend during the week. It was near the holidays, so pretty empty. There was one guy working the tables and the service was fine (he was friendly but took his time to come over). They definitely give you large portions, which I was happy about. I had the jambalaya and my friend ordered the salmon croquettes. Both were seasoned well and the accompanying corn bread was delicious. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the chicken in my jambalaya had a slightly rubbery, processed taste/texture. Maybe I had a bad batch but to have such an important ingredient not work left me slightly disappointed. But I still enjoyed myself enough that I would go back again. I'd just have a different dish.“
“I'm surprised this place does not have a line out the door. This place is great. It's called smoked meats (forgive me if I'm a novice and don't know better) but should just be advertised as BBQ. I will be back. For all those who have not been, you are missing out.“
“Besides the friendly service and great food I was privileged to see an elderly couple walk in and take all the recyclables from the trash can and were greeted with an awesome hello from the lady up front. I'm glad she allowed them to take the aluminum cans and not kick them out like other places.“
“We ordered Dinner combo 9. We got our order after 15 minutes, which was quick. We tried the red snapper, and it's was good. The seasoning needs more spices, but the light coating was okay. The fried oysters were tasty, and the shrimp hit the spot. The sauces need to have more zing and tang to it. The fries had less salt but were not crispy enough. They have lots of fish to choose from. They also have chicken menu.Overall, this was a good place to order seafood and take out dinner. They don't have tables inside, so you have to eat in the car or take it home.“
“Was my first time I have been hearing it on the radio KJLH I passed by it . It was really good because I usually go to LA to get my barbecue all I got was delicious ? rib tips, greens, barbecue baked beans, bread ? off the hook. I have too go back too try the Rest.“
“So, I decided to give this spot another try since the food was good first time. This time I opted to call at 530pm.... Google says open until 9pm. She said "We are closed! "Wtf it's 530! She said ok, I will take your order ...I said well I am driving 40 min away...she said okay! How sweet.., I asked for 1 oxtail dinner and 1smothered steak. Asked for yams and greens and mac and cheese. I got 3 sides Mac and greens only. Still grateful to, because I told her I only had some of the cash and she said it's ok and kindly sent me home! Main issue I have is ....I didn't get ANY gravy at all I had a comfort food craving and that entails lots of smothered gravy. I had to come home and make some gravy. I believe they have new owners because the name changed to Sol of Los Angeles. There is a buffet in Gardena...it's written on the wall!****Owners ****please update the hours on line ,I drove really far and they were closing hours earlier. I included a screenshot of the information given. I just tried the smothered steak I used to love and this one today is dry, unflavored and hard with no gravy. Oxtails we're very small and minimal, no gravy and overpriced for the value. Both these items total close to $40....“
“I love the platanos and platano de empanadas, is my go to! Pupusas are great. Curtido is great, made the traditional way! I recommend you call in to place your order. Is not that they are slow is just the food is great they get tons of orders. I love that its clean inside too. Yeah its located in not the best street but never been a problem for me. I recommend this place!“
“Love their food but customer service through drive up window is awful n manager no better over green onion I don't want none they been doing great not giving it they trying make me take it my daughter wants green onion they want charge her not Xtra 29.00 worth she goes off speech to manager n he say we stop n we charge then why is she try make me have green onion on my fry egg rice n never get eggs they attitude stinks we go every sat“
“The tri tip salad was good albeit the tri tip was a little tough to chew. I will probably not order this item again. It also consisted of four thin slices if chewy meat. Too expensive for what was served. However, the lettuce, red onion, avocado, cucumber and biscuit were far better than was the tri tip.“
“I was here for a birthday party, due to this event all of the staff was assigned to this event from 5:00 pm to 7:30 dinner and the bar services wasn't being offered . Once services were back in full swing, the margaritas were margarotahs terrible . Hosting a party and while being open as a full bar was too much for them to handle, they can only do one or the other.“
“I do enjoy dining here whenever I am going to Knotts. My mom worked there back in the day and I have been going there for 60 years. Food is always consistent and you can count on good quality food. The service was very good. We enjoyed ourselves like usual.“
“Rack of ribs!!!!! Meat just falls off the bone...delicious sides too! Hot links are great too. Best fried chicken besides Knott's . The place is a classic experience and they have great outdoor dining, as well as the Southern themed restaurant.Parking: It gets crowded...so be warned...get there early and often.Kid-friendliness: Kids love the place. Unique atmosphere.“
“RJ's is my go-to place when I want that southern home cooked meal. The service is A1..... my girl Shay is the business when it comes to treatin' you right and making sure you get what you ordered! Good food, great service and decent prices. Check 'em out!(And yes, they take that EBT).“
