“Honestly everything was excellent. The food was fresh and flavorful, the service was intentful and speedy, and the atmosphere was inviting and cozy. The menu had a focused but varies collection of meat/kabob dishes. I ordered the chicken breast kabob plate. 17 bucks. Such a bargain for the amount of food these days and it tasted home cooked and prepared with pride--you can tell. The rice was perfectly seasoned and the entire plate was nicely balanced with a yogurt based cabbage slaw. Definitely will be coming back.“
“If you want to try authentic afghan food then this is the place! We had the best dinner here. We tried Bolani Potatoes, Bolani Kadu/Pumpkin and Borani Badenjon. All three items were delicious and very tasty. Their seating arrangements in patio is like middle eastern style facing water fountain. Bolani were crispy and sauces on Borani had great chef touch. The staff and owners treated us very nicely.Vegetarian options: Bolani and Borani“
“Great tasting food cooked fresh with quality ingredients.Restaurant is in a nondescript strip mall with a few other restaurants and an Indian grocery store, so kinda hard to find it unless you know in advance. They give you a bowl of salad and some fresh delicious Afghan bread (served with cilantro sauce and tzatziki sauce)While the food is tasty and fresh, the prices are a bit high compared to the prices. For example, the combination platter with a large Chapli kabab and 4 pieces of chicken kabab with a little bit of rice was $28.The daily special was the Kofta Chalk which was 3 beef meatballs in a sauce with some rice was quite delicious and $18.The 2 pieces of baklava were delicious and warm and was $8.$103 for 3 dishes and baklava seemed a bit on the high side.Friendly people though the young lady serving us was a bit difficult to communicate with as she didn’t seem to comprehend English completely.Worth a return visit.“
“10/10. The food was delicious. The chapli kabob can be made spicy which had a good kick if you like, I also tried my sister's spicy beef gyro plate, which was also amazing. They had great service and checked in on customers. The ambiance is nice, it's an Afghan restaurant that isn't in a food court, I forgot I was in the mall. This is the best Afghan food I've had in the Pleasanton area, I'll definitely be back!“
“I have been enjoying authentic Afghan food in Chopan kabob for the past few years, this is my go to place when i am eating out with family and friends, they have very good customer service and i highly recommend them to anyone would like to enjoy authentic afghan food.“
“The potatoes bolanis, cream rolls and chocolate cake slices are delicious. The rote is very delicious too, especially the rote for the 40th day celebration of a baby's birth. When ordered beforehand, they will bake a big, special rote with almonds. I always get the 40th day rotes for the babies of my family and small sized one to distribute among family.“
“Caravan is hands down one of the best Afghan restaurants I have ever been to. From the moment I walked in, the staff provided excellent service and made me feel right at home.I ordered the bolani as an appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. The dough was perfectly cooked and the filling was seasoned to perfection. For my main dish, I opted for the chicken kabob and it did not disappoint. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the seasoning was just right.Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Caravan. The food was top-notch, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I will definitely be returning to try more of their amazing dishes. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Afghan cuisine.“
“First time trying this place and it was absolutely a great experience! The chapli kabob and chicken kabob was amazing! Also Sultana made us feel like very welcome! She made us feel as if we had dinner at their home. Definitely recommend this spot.“
