“I’ve been here twice. I ordered a coffee they recommended and that was very delicious, and also order a picadio empanada and that was amazing.
Second time I came in just for the tamales, so I thought, but then also ordered an empanada again. I ordered each flavor of tamales and they were huge! Full of meet and flavor. I would also ask for a couple of their salsas which pair perfectly with the tamales and empanadas.“

You could come here every day for two weeks and never repeat what you order! Plenty of room for small or larger groups. Indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are friendly and attentive, and they recognize their repeat customers with knowing smiles. They also have an extensive selection of alcoholic drinks, including fine liquors! This is not just a morning spot. As with so many restaurants today, it can get rather loud when there are lots of people here. The outdoor seating is a relief at those times.“

“I wanted to get a head start on holiday traffic but still had to work on my laptop for a few hours and needed a little bit of quiet. This Starbucks is right off the freeway and has a conference room, which I didn’t expect. So if you’re on the go and need somewhere to work/WIFI, this location is great.“

“Honestly this is the best Starbucks of ALL San Diego. The staff is so friendly and the line goes pretty fast especially during rush. Enna, is so sweet. She made me feel like a valued customer when she remembered my order and name and greeted me over the speaker. Lauren is so funny, my three year old asks for her all the time just to tell her hi. Jerimiah is so chill, always has the best drink recommendations when I cannot make up my mind and a sweet wonderful human being. Best Starbies hands down, with an amazing team!“

“We came here for the Baklava and Turkish delight. The honey Baklava was easily my favorite as it has a less harsh sweetness than the other kinds I tried. They were still amazing but the honey one just stood above the rest.
We also got a few kinds of Turkish delight the star definitely being the small rose ones that had wonderfully delicate rose flavor that avoided the pitfall of tasting like perfume.
For drinks we had the Pistachio late which sublime, perfectly roasted coffee and pistachio flavor. Also tried Mina's signature drink that was a rice pudding late with hazelnut flavor, it was very reminiscent of an horchata with different spices. I greatly enjoyed it.“

“It's hit and miss here. Seems it really just depends on the time of day, and who your barista is. Some days they are really quick, and amazing service. Other days, they are down to one person and very slow, and the drinks are sub par. Overall it's descent, but they could work on staff coverage, and not burning coffee.“

“Christy's donuts in El Cajon has the best donuts. They don't have a shiny new store like that other place in Santee, but they have better tasting donuts the owner and his family run the shop and they are so very nice.

Instead of cakes, we've started treating ourselves to Christy's donuts.
