“Great spot for coffee and lunch. I know a lot of reviews say it's a great place to work from, I have to say I disagree. This is an awesome coffee shop and it has wifi, but it also plays screamo/hard rock music which isn't the most conducive for working and they only allow laptops at certain tables. Will definitely be back but sans laptop.“

“Rob's is amazing - ever since it opened, we have enjoyed some of the best espresso and cold brew in San Diego. Everyone there makes an effort to make you feel welcome and part of the community. This will always be our coffee spot in East County!“

“Tried this location for the first time. Enjoyed the food and the prices were more than reasonable for the portions. We did a combination of lunches and dinner plates as a to go order and everything was fresh and tasty. Our lunches with chicken was approx 12 each and included rice and a small soup. Soup was delicious!I also ordered their Beef Salad which thankfully they put the dressing on the side so the greens stayed crisp. (I’ve been to many Thai restaurants and they often put it on which makes the greens soggy by the time you get home and no good for leftovers). The flavors were right on.Will definitely return!“

“I loved their mocha! Great local coffee place and café. Lots of outdoor seating and parking. The staff was super friendly. Great experience! I will definitely be back. My only disappointment is that they do not have merch! Would have loved to get a fun T-shirt, hat or beanie. Coffee culture is a thing. “Cute space, great coffee. All sizes get 2 shots of espresso. Decided on their Honey Lavender latte - delicious. Hubby wanted his usual Caramel Macchiato, so Caramel Latte is it. Kids got hot chocolate, my son described it tasted like marshmallow. Overall good!“

“I love this coffee shop. The drinks are delicious and the prices are reasonable. Service is fast and friendly. It's drive-thru only and has been for some time. I really enjoy the cookie butter latte, dark chocolate cold brew, and the bees knees. They also have punch cards that will earn you $5 off.“

“Inconspicuously small deli spot in Jamul. When you pass by it may not look like much from the outside, but TRUST it's a hidden gem. Love this place - it's my favorite deli. It's family run by Manoli and his wife Rosio. Their son Milton also helps them out. They've been in business for almost 30 years. One bite of their pastrami sandwich will explain it all. They are so sweet and just the nicest and welcoming family. I love their consistency, every time you walk in the door you're greeted with a warm smile and food is always made with love. They don't make it til you order it and taste homemade. Give it a try and you'll find why they've lasted through time. From the sandwiches, their salads to their smoothies. You can never go wrong and the portions have not been affected by inflation. Same portion size.“

“Friendly service and delicious treats. I was the first customer on Thanksgiving and was just hoping to get a cup of coffee and a pastry for the drive. I was greeted with such a warm welcome and everything looked so good, I left with a whole box of goodies. They were a hit at Thanksgiving and I will definitely be back!“

It's very quiet and very clean and they have good Wi-Fi so it's a great place for remote workers. The dirty try that I got was excellent. “OMG these are the best donuts we've had in a long time, maybe even ever. Soft, not overly sweet, not a single dry bite (even after 9am) perfect amount of toppings. We got a half dozen, a bottle drink, and a medium coffee. Our total was just over $8. That is the cash price, however. They do charge more for using card FYI.My daughter and I tried the Bavarian Cream (my favorite), chocolate Old Fashioned, Glazed with Cinnamon, White with Sprinkles, and Chocolate with Sprinkles. She had a bottle of Strawberry milk and I had a medium coffee. The Bavarian Creams were the best I've ever had. There was actually cream in the entire donut, and it was soooo soft and fluffy! Even the Old Fashioned was soft, with a perfect crispy crust. The chocolate actually tastes like chocolate, better than any other donut shop I've tried. My daughter scarfed down her sprinkle donuts with a smile the whole time. He even included 2 donut holes as a surprise! She devoured those before I could stir my coffee and try a bite hahaThe only sorta downsides I have; the coffee tasted odd... even for what you would imagine "cheap generic coffee" to be. But he had a few different Flavored creamers available, so that helped. Also, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but there was some old country love ballads playing as we ate there. I didn't mind, it seemed fitting somehow.I am so mad at myself that I've driven by this place twice a day for a year and a half and never stopped in! We will most definitely be back!“

“I have to knock a star off because they don't have any plant milk options, only that "non-dairy creamer" which has milk proteins in it. They do have a "fresh tea" drink selection so I ordered a rose oolong tea with boba, 70% sweet. It was really good! The tea flavor was strong but properly brewed with no bitterness, and the rose was deliciously aromatic but not overwhelming. Boba were cooked perfectly. It's a shame they have no plant milk options because that eliminates most of the menu for people with milk sensitivity/allergy (and vegans). But it's so great to find a tea place that actually brews good tea. Would do again next time I'm in this area of the country.“

“Here almost every Friday during lunch and every time it has a very relaxed atmosphere, always greeted and served in a professional and polite manner. I always order the green tea so I can only speak for that quality and preference because I think Tap Ex tea lacks strength and flavor but that is just my opinion. Their coffee is great, arguably the best in San Diego.They have fun breakfast items from ever-changing flavors of iced donuts to hot breakfast sandwiches and good bagels with the only vegan cream cheese I’ve ever had that tastes good. “My husband had a company party and I called the night before if there was an option to do catering for 8 people. One of the employees there answered and did her best to answer everything. I ended up getting in touch with the manager (Joyce) and she was extremely helpful. She made sure everything went smoothly. My husband's party was going to be in Encinitas but we live in Santee so Joyce said she could have everything ready in Del Mar where they have another restaurant called Xin Chao Eatery. It was super nice for them to accommodate for us and make things easier so we wouldn't have to stress about the company party. Thank you so much Joyce and Justin for being the best!! “Been meaning to try this spot and finally got the craving for a bagel. I ordered a salmon bagel ($9.50) and my friend ordered two stuffed croissants ($6.50 each).Salmon bagel: on first glance I thought they robbed me but after my first bite I was pleased. It looked like they only gave me slivers of salmon, but they stuffed bits of it on the top and bottom piece. That thing was evenly blended with all ingredients. Only note is not much cream cheese but I’m biased because I’m a cream cheese addict lol. Would definitely recommendStuffed croissants: they did not look or taste the best. Both were Soggy mush in the center and crispy on the outside. Favorite parts were the burnt pieces around the thing, not a fan of the filling. The cheese reminded me of low quality mashed potatoes. “We were driving by and we noticed a small coffee kiosk in the parking lot of Valley Farm Market. We stopped by and found great coffee and great avocado toast. Mason waited on us and was extremely helpful and friendly. I love that they have a sitting area with shade. The coffee was great. We will be back to try their Autumn drinks!“

“I first spotted Kung Fu Tea after dining on sushi in the same mini mall. So I went in and saw they had a matcha red bean slush. I'm embarrassed to say that every time I've gone in there, I've ordered the matcha red bean slush. Dang it, I keep saying to myself that I'll try some of their other drinks - there are MANY. But I have found no other tea shop that serves the red beans which I dearly love.“

“My wife and I came by this place by chance on July 4th, 2023, and loved the whole atmosphere about this cozy cafe. I have found my new hot spot for morning coffee. No need to get coffee for "points" anymore and the coffee taste better than the mermaid one by the mall. We will be regulars from this point on and will tell a friend or two and three. This morning they were running behind and the manager Jenna (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was calling out names of drinks she was starting on, along with letting people know how much time behind her crew was. I was able to get my sandwich but I had a Dr app to attend and I couldn't be late. I kindly asked Hanna if she could postpone my drink and I'd be back after to pick it up. There was 0 issues with that request, so I did just that! Upon arriving after my app, Jenna was at the register and remembered my order, kindly offered a larger drink than I ordered. I wish my starbucks closer to my house was this personable!!! They even remembered so many people's names and their orders as they walked in the door for pickup! But I can confidently say this group of baristas can knock it out of the park. This mornings orders were out quickly and I didnt see anyone bringing orders back while eating breakfast.
