“I am not a big fan of mariscos. This is one of the best mariscos spots I actually enjoy. I highly recommend the shrimp and fish tacos, the camarones dinamitas, camarones de cucarachas, Coctel de Camaron, the aguachiles is actually one of the best sauces I've actually tasted, not to mention there other Mexican dishes they have on the menu. I also rented the hall for events and the menu for their catering services are good as well and the hostility from dining in and renting the hall has been phenomenal. Anyone wanting to eat good mariscos I highly recommend this place“

“Great neighborhood hangout, as the name implies. Inside there’s a cool cocktail bar, but my favorite is the dog-friendly outdoor patio, a chill spot to hang out with your friends, dog, and - yes - neighbors.
Outside is a map showing the destruction of the Eaton fire. It’s sobering and sad, but I’m glad it’s here. Thank you.“

“The atmosphere is very good, it feels very domestic, and the band performance is also very exciting. The price of bartending is not expensive. I ordered a lot of food. My favorites were the mutton skewers and duck neck, which were delicious. Suitable for chatting and drinking with friends“

“I visited in October, and the whole place was dark with Halloween décor — definitely a vibe. The bar atmosphere is great and the customer service was on point. They have a wide selection of cocktails, and my absolute favorite was the Coffee Martini — honestly the best one I’ve ever had. Highly recommend checking this spot out.“

“Best pub in the Altadena area. It is a family run business, and really, a more traditional "public house." Not too many places like this around! Guiness and other European ales on tap. Nice selection of wines too. Say hi to Judah, Gail & family and help support Altadena!“

“ITS A REALLY COOL, CHILL SPOT TO HAVE A FEW BEERS AT. THE BARTENDER LADY IS THE BEST. SHE IS ON TOP OF WHATEVER IT IS THAT SHE HAS TO DO. MY BROTHER AND WILL GO EVERY OTHER WEEK. “Thursday Nights !! A+ Bartender Rosie goes above and beyond . I’m not only if she friendly and acknowledges any and every person who walks in she’s not like other bartenders I’ve seen other establishments who are on their phone more than they are working. She brings in a collective of different patrons all friendly Never once not felt safe when I am there It’s a shame the other Bartenders at this places sister establishment in Covina were as well Trained as Rosie. Or even new had to make a drink Tina’s Tavern Thursdays Hands down the place to be“
“This bar is pretty chill. I've come in a couple of times with my man-friend to play pool. We usually stop by the bar to grab a couple beers first and the bartenders are always quick to greet us and take our order. Drinks are reasonably priced. There are 2 pool tables in the back of the bar where you can add yourself to a list and get in on some games. One of the times we went there was live music playing. The atmosphere is pretty chill and inviting and for the most part the bar was clean overall. We definitely plan to come back!“

“Love neighborhood bars, and this one was no exception. I did not rate the food because we didn’t eat and I’m not sure if they have food or not. The drinks were great, the bar is lively and there was a DJ. Super fun vibes and great crowd. Reminds me of the pre Covid days. Everyone was friendly and talkative, buying drinks for each other with no drama. I went here on a whim with my friend after the Beyond the Grave pop up bar. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but places like this are my favorite. I will definitely be back! The bartender made a perfect Midori sour, which is actually one of those cocktails that seems easy to make, but can be easily unbalanced. Definitely some pool sharks which made for a good viewing“

“We have never been to Maggie's Pub and are delighted we went. The atmosphere was exactly how we like it. We had fish and chips, and shepherd's pie. The food was amazing, and the selection of beer was great to have. We enjoyed the time here and will visit again.“

“Came hungry, came thirsty, and came in need of a good spot to let my creativity flow. This is it. This place has it all. The ambiance gets you set to sit, relax, and unwind. The drinks are on point, delicious and well served. The service and welcoming environment is just the beginning. We were drawn in by social media and had high expectations.
Those expectations where met! We reviewed their website prior and where exited to get all dressed up for the night!
When we arrived were kindly greeted by Angie whom guided us to the main area. The design of the place is very classy and warm with music that adds to the vibe. For diner we had the Cacio e Pepe (Salmon/Pasta) and the Tailor's Cut (Steak/Mash potatoes/veggies). For drinks we had The Seamstress and a Whiskey Mix). To top it off we had a slice chocolate cake, my fave!
We both really enjoyed our selections everything was delicious! Our server was very kind; we were also greeted by the owner.
We will definitely be returning and have been recommending to our family and friends.“

Wheelchair accessibility: They are wheelchair accessible. Has a lowered section of the bar just for handicapped. Bathrooms are also wheelchair accessible. I spent 8 months in a wheelchair and was accommodated excellently“

“We have dined here a couple of times when we come back to visit family. We are never disappointed. The food is quite good. Portions are on the larger size, so expect to have leftovers to bring home (or just go nuts and indulge).
However, the dinning room is comparatively small and not intimate. That isn't that big of a deal, but you should be aware of it going in. I would recommend a reservation if dining later in the evening. If you arrive earlier, they can usually seat you.
Parking is on the street (but that is par for the course in Sierra Madre), but be prepared to have to drive around a little to find a spot.
The only negative was on our last visit. The front of house was clearly understaffed. The one waiter was doing double duty as the bar tender. So, speed of service was not on the menu.
A solid choice for dining and will we will undoubtedly visit again.“

“As a dive bar kinda guy, this place really resonates with me. Love that the pours are good (Sara at least) and cheap - $5 for a well whiskey sour or a full pour of wine, $7 for call whiskey rocks. Cash only which is OK, just know ahead of time. And went there last night with my daughter for a quick drink before dinner - loud, obnoxious drunk group of sketchy dudes in the booth beside us. Lots of cussing and vulgarity which is fine with me but it was loud enough to be distracting and the bartender didn't really do or say anything to them, which may have been uncomfortable and awkward so I get it.“
