Alma y Sazon Reviews
I tried the al pastor the first time I came, then came back to try the mushroom carnitas. Both were great. The refried beans are spicy, but really good!
The place is a cute little booth in the heart of a food mall. The coices are simple but delicious Latin American fare.

Delicious. I’ve had their tacos, torta and soul bowl and they always hit the spot. Best jamaica I can find around here as well. I grew up on Mexican and I am not easy to impress but they have a unique and tasty menu. Go here whenever you’re in Emeryville, don’t even look at anything else.

Alma y Sazon serves delicious Mexican food. The del mar taco and elote are standouts. Other popular items include the jackfruit flautas, mushroom carnitas tacos, and jackfruit al pastor tacos. The food is fresh and authentically Mexican. The restaurant is strictly vegan, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Customers often finish everything they order and express excitement to return. Many reviewers praise the tofu taco, fried mushrooms, and the avocado and cilantro sauce, calling the dishes unbelievably delicious. The restaurant offers a variety of tasty options like Sopesitos and Tostado, which quickly become favorites. It is a great spot to try new, flavorful vegetarian dishes in the public market, with a welcoming environment and consistently good food.
