“I really appreciate this KFC for being one of the few truly accessible drive-through spots in Oakland. It’s easy to get in and out, and the staff are always patient and respectful — that goes a long way.

The food’s consistently solid, too. The biscuit with gravy is my favorite — warm, simple, and satisfying. The three-piece chicken tender meal with fries and a root beer always hits right.

It’s just nice to have a place that feels dependable, both in service and food. Thanks to the team here for keeping it that way.“

“Last Saturday we ordered a lot of food from the melt. The whole crew was working overtime and we all ordered multiple items and the crew absolutely killed it. Lady working the cashier was absolutely amazing. Sweetest lady ever. The cooks were amazing and they have a very good crew working. The only names I received were Mar, Janeka, Dom and Tone but everyone was incredible and we definitely will be back.“

“Okay wow. My kids love this spot and I never tried it bc I thought it was just whatever but I finally ordered a single tender for myself to see what the hype was all about and it was so good!!! I got mild which is just a tiny kick but not where you need to find water and it was so good! Amazingly crispy even after waiting after I had driven home to eat it and the pickles and super soft slice of bread was the perfect complement. The batter is very tasty with a hint of sweet and the chicken itself felt like great quality and wasn’t dry. Okay I get it now! Will order myself some food the next time the kids ask for this!“

“This location is conveniently located in the middle of downtown Oakland. I regularly get the fries and grilled cheese sandwich. I love the milkshakes and strawberry lemonade. “If you crave an old fashion burger complete with iceberg lettuce this place is for you. Today was my first time there and I went with the cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate shake. The burger was good. Not great but honest. Gave it 7.5. The crinkled fries were mid. Pretty sure they were frozen. I didn't eat em all. Needed salt. The shake was decent and you get a large. Right there i knew it wouldn't be the best shake. For 20 bucks plus tip it was ok. I don't think i got their best. Next time I'm trying the teriyaki burger and chicken. It's a small, side of the road joint that's so close to being incredible.“

“The fried chicken is crispy outside and juicy tender inside. The various chicken combos are good deals. There is a wait for orders because the food is not precooked and sitting under heat lamps. Parking can be difficult and the small parking lot fills up quickly. I will definitely be returning!“

The Cali Cluckwich came with no tempeh bacon or avocado added on, and we didn't have time to get it fixed because we were crunched for time on a work lunch break. Without the cali ingredients added, it was a plain old classic cluckwich. Other than that, taste-wise the food was good. Also, I've always loved the customer service at the San Francisco location, the employees are always so happy and friendly. Hunny Hickory TenderClucks were delicious. “Solid all around experience. Food was well described ordering at the counter. Dining was comfortable in the cool retro decor with perfect playlist to match. Food was excellent: Caesar was perfectly balanced in textures and flavors. side braised greens shined with ginger and bold seasoning. The “bay sauce” was sweet, spicy, tangy and aromatic with fresh Thai basil, over super tender well seasoned chicken. It’s not your classic heavily dredged coating, so as long as you’re expecting a less greasy thin crisp coating you’ll be pleased. Even the rice was seasoned with delicious subtle flavors I couldn’t name. Devils food for dessert was super moist and balanced. Loved the drinks too.

Beyond the flavors on the plate and the nice atmosphere, this will be a return stop for me because of the ingredient quality. Fruits and veggies from top Bay Area farms, Koda rice, dandelion chocolate and I believe thoughtfully sourced proteins as well.

The all day hours mean I’ll be back for lunch soon.
