“i came in at 10:25pm (they close at 11) to order takeout. not only was i greeted with the most genuine smile by the person behind the bar, but they were so kind and welcoming. i got the bbq bacon burger sub chicken patty add tomato and lettuce (per their recommendation) and it was SUPERB. chicken? cooked perfectly. bun? doughy and held up throughout the eating of the sandwich. the lettuce was crispy and the bacon was fresh. i also got the garlic parm fries and they were the best ones i’ve had in a long time. after a really long day this was exactly what i needed. thank you very much.“

“Last Saturday we ordered a lot of food from the melt. The whole crew was working overtime and we all ordered multiple items and the crew absolutely killed it. Lady working the cashier was absolutely amazing. Sweetest lady ever. The cooks were amazing and they have a very good crew working. The only names I received were Mar, Janeka, Dom and Tone but everyone was incredible and we definitely will be back.“

“Okay wow. My kids love this spot and I never tried it bc I thought it was just whatever but I finally ordered a single tender for myself to see what the hype was all about and it was so good!!! I got mild which is just a tiny kick but not where you need to find water and it was so good! Amazingly crispy even after waiting after I had driven home to eat it and the pickles and super soft slice of bread was the perfect complement. The batter is very tasty with a hint of sweet and the chicken itself felt like great quality and wasn’t dry. Okay I get it now! Will order myself some food the next time the kids ask for this!“

“This location is conveniently located in the middle of downtown Oakland. I regularly get the fries and grilled cheese sandwich. I love the milkshakes and strawberry lemonade. They also have nice staff and good service. Shout out to the store manager and the person helping me at the register, Jerome! I will be back for my usual.“

“The fried chicken is crispy outside and juicy tender inside. The various chicken combos are good deals. There is a wait for orders because the food is not precooked and sitting under heat lamps. Parking can be difficult and the small parking lot fills up quickly. I will definitely be returning!“

“Four stars because they clucked up one of the things we ordered. The Cali Cluckwich came with no tempeh bacon or avocado added on, and we didn't have time to get it fixed because we were crunched for time on a work lunch break. Without the cali ingredients added, it was a plain old classic cluckwich. Other than that, taste-wise the food was good. Also, I've always loved the customer service at the San Francisco location, the employees are always so happy and friendly. Hunny Hickory TenderClucks were delicious. “Best bbq pork, roasted duck, and beef stew in the city. The tea eggs are also super good and savory that we can't get enough of. The staff are super kind, energetic and provide excellent services. My favorite place to come back to everytime i visit the city“

“I’ve been a fan of the Roost for the last few years - I’d order from them most weeks when I drove into my office. Their food is amazing… you can tell so much care goes into each meal they deliver.

I just found out they opened a new cafe as well and can’t wait to see it!

The food was excellent and came out really quickly. Service was also great so no complaints there.

The interior is lightly parrot themed like the name of the restaurant which was a nice touch.

I also love the pickles they have here, i would buy a tub of it. the worker their are so kind and make sure everything is ready and fresh before you get it. “The Korean Fried Chicken is amazing here! The skin was a crispy, crackling goodness, that shattered like glass at first crunch. The meat was hot and juicy. The house Seoul sauce was tasty (and mild spice). And you can get it included in a bento box so that you can get your servings of veggies (banchan), rice, gyoza, and japchae noodles too. Service was super friendly.“

“I was looking for a salad somewhere other than Mixt and was directed here by a friend. Their salads are so good, full, fresh, and they're so flavorful you don't need much dressing at all. It was so good that I went back for lunch the very next day. I've only had their grilled chicken in a salad, but it's delicious and can be gluten free. Definitely worth the DoorDash delivery!!“
