“Food and service was amazing“

“Usually delicious. Nice attentive staff. Clean bright dining room. Usually no line. Ingredients are quite consistent though the mixing and pumping of the spiciness level is always quite variable. Could use a little more authentic sesame oil and tang in the sauces.

Dining room ambiance a little stark. Nice decorations, but the acoustics are too much echo and often a little cold and sterile. Need some house plants acoustic absorbing panels in there .

“Every dish was amazing. The pacing and timing of dishes was off and the service varied depending on the area (our server and the manager were great). It was very hectic, especially with the Del Mar opening day post race crowd (lots of tipsy folks) so maybe not the best atmosphere to fairly evaluate all aspects of the restaurant but the good parts were more than enough for us to return.“

“Sindi's Snack Shack is a hidden gem. It's tucked away from the main strip in Solana Beach and easy to miss. Sindi is a warm and friendly woman who will brighten up your day. The food is just incredible, exactly what you would expect from street/snack food. The Vietnamese iced coffee will supercharge your morning.“

I originally posted a review regarding what I believed to be a billing error at Chin’s Carlsbad. However, after speaking directly with a representative, Howard, I want to commend their professionalism and quick response in addressing my concerns.

Howard took the time to go over my receipt in detail, and we discovered that the Point-of-Sale system deducts a portion of sales tax from gift certificates, which initially caused some confusion. After reviewing the proper sales tax calculations, it became clear that my bill was actually correct. In retrospect, I was mistaken, not the restaurant.

I truly appreciate Howard's courteous and professional approach in resolving this issue. It’s a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. Chin’s has always been a family favorite, and I’m happy to say that their integrity and service remain top-notch.“

“I'm vegetarian - no fish either - and allergic to shellfish. They went out of their way to make sure nothing that made it into my bowl had been cross contaminated.“

Parking: Decent spots, but rapidly fill up - would recommend parking in the free lot by Le Papagayo or the Blue water grill and walking
