“We have been here quite a few times, but for some reason I keep forgetting to review it. We love this Shake Shack. It is part of a chain that is growing.The food is great, the menu is not huge, it is mostly burgers and chicken and some of the best shakes you will have. My only complaint, get some cheddar cheese, I don't like American and is that real cheese anyway.They will make your meal exactly the way you ordered it. I like my burgers rare and they will do that. Their fries are so good.The service is fast and very nice. This is a place where you see the menu on the wall and order at the counter. They will call you when your food is ready. We always eat there because we have usually shopped in the Courtyard and want a break anyway.The place is cute and kept spotless. They have a mouth-watering selection of fresh donuts, including an impressive assortment of cronut inspired donuts.Their little shop is in a small strip mall in Santa Monica. I had no trouble finding parking right outfront. The shop has a colorful, pink-focused theme. They had an outstanding selection of donuts on display in their glass cases as well as a nice, large menu board offering up all kinds of snacks, drinks, and sandwiches.The four donuts I sampled on my visit to DK's were fantastic. It was honestly a very hard decision. I had to limit myself to four because when I buy donuts, I have very little self control and know I am going to eat them all the same day. Besides, donuts are always best when they are fresh.The strawberry nutella cronut style donut was amazing. Lots of rich, hazelnut spread flavor mixed with strawberry. The plain glazed donut was top notch. I always try to get a plain glaze and use it as a baseline. A great plain glaze donut is always a treat for me. The cinnamon sugar cronut and the peanut butter cup donut were also great.I know there are other "DK" donut places out there. This one is a real treat and I think it is the OG one. “Easily one of the best açaí bowl spots in west la. the main reason is the price and the diverse selection of toppings, base flavors, granola, etc. I like how you can customize your bowl as much as you want and you pay the same price - I usually get the smallest bowl for $9. They also have unique toppings like different chia puddings and matcha powder which sets them apart from other acai bowl places. The service is incredible every time - very fast and friendly. AMBIENCE: I really enjoyed the ambiance here. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't super crowded. There's a few 2-4 seater tables, a larger window-facing table with comfy chairs, a ledge for those who want to park with a laptop, and some outdoor sidewalk seating. More of a casual vibe, very bright and airy and open. On a corner. There is street parking (up to 1 hour directly in front, and up to 2 hours a few blocks down on Ocean). That's my one qualm, is that it'd be hard to spend more than 2 hours here due to the parking situation. SERVICE: So friendly and kind.“
