* I appreciate that they advertise tamales are not made with lard
* Masa is soft even after re-heating. Almost too soft it falls apart
* Pricing is not bad considering the size
* Fast service, I appreciate the labels for each flavor

* More masa than filling
* Vegetarian was disappointing. Vegetable filling looks like it came from a can (peas, corn, carrots, green beans) It would have been better to just label the bean and cheese vegetarian.
* We ate all tamales except “Vegetarian”

Flawless braised taco fillings, topped with a delicious dollops of sauce that are meant to complement the flavor as well as the color of the main ingredient. “Had a lovely meal here. We've been fans for Wes Avila since his days running the Guerilla Tacos truck. MXO has a beautiful atmosphere. We really liked being on the patio. The design touches are fun and modern. The food was absolutely wonderful. We especially enjoyed the braised cabbage, but honestly, everything we ordered was delightful. The bone marrow was flavorful and rich. The hamachi was tender and the sauces it was served with perfectly complimented the fish. The asparagus was tasty and has a complex flavor. We loved our meal and will definitely be back.“

“Interesting atmosphere, great personal service, everyone was really friendly and helpful, manager even came to introduce himself as we were heading out.

We took food to go as we’re tired and it was a little noisy. We were told to order from the bar, but someone promptly came to the table next to it where we were sitting and took our order. Has hibiscus while waiting, delicious.

I had a veggie burrito and it came wet with green sauce but I changed mine to red. There wasn’t much sauce or anything inside, but sauce and cheese on the outside. Portions were big, two meals for me.

Chips were thick and fresh just needed salt to my taste. We asked if it was okay to park on the side of the building and they were not worried said anywhere you like. We will definitely be back.“
