“BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
Been going here for years, since highschool on a bike up until now living in Mira mesa; I still go here for the service and the absolutely crazy big portions you get for how little you pay!
Owner remembers me to this day and food is just as good as it was years ago. Wontons are always a must cuz they’re super light and crispy!! Drinks are p big too“

“Hands down vest Chinese in Escondido and so far in the whole county. Only Chinese I know that's as good or better is Ho'Shun in New Orleans garden district.

“Gourmet Wok is a small, family-owned restaurant. They are dishing up delicious Chinese dishes at affordable prices.\nLunch is from 11:00 until 2:30. There are several lunch specials to choose from that are a great value.\nThe Gourmet Wok reopens at 3:30 for Dinner and closes at 9 P.M.\nOnce again there are lots of choices at reasonable prices. \nThe family that owns the restaurant will take good care of you. I have tried their Mongolian Beef and Kung Pao Shrimp & Kung Pao Scallops and they are delicious.\nBeer and wine, including Chinese Beer, is available.\nHighly recommended.“

“We came in and ordered a 5 person family meal on a Friday night and so they were out of one of the dishes we ordered. We had to wait a few minutes for the order to be ready, but the representatives were so polite and checked in with us periodically. When the order was complete they threw in an order of free spring rolls because we had to wait. It was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely be back.“

“Food was absolutely delectable, savory and just what I wanted to hit the spot. Prepared very quickly, you could tell it was super fresh. Prices were very reasonable for two people. Would definitely come back here again. The male waitstaff were very polite and accommodating. The waitress with the ponytail was rude. I was in the middle of finishing my last plate and I had a couple of chicken pieces left, and she took away my plate before I could finish it just to give me the heads up that they needed to clear the table for the next guests. Her service in particular was very poor.“

“This place was a 10 upon walking in. Super Friendly and welcoming staff and great lunch specials. Portion sizes are opulent and food quality is superb. I happened upon this place, and will be a frequent patron. I highly recommend the Caterpillar roll.“
