Its interior decor and layout were modest and spacious. Moreover, inside has a relaxing atmosphere and very neat.

I came to grab dinner; I was warmly greeted by a female staff. I ordered a Sweet and Sour Chicken x Rice (entree) and Mango Sticky Rice (dessert), an Iced Tea. Food was very tasty, delightful and fresh as well as the iced tea drink. Ample of street parking. Prices were fair. Overall, I enjoyed my dine-in experience and food.“

“Where to start. We became members about a year ago. 3 of 4 times we came in, the service was less than stellar. Wine was fantastic so we decided to keep up the membership. We literally today 12/20/25 was going to be our last visit as members, as we would just buy bottles here and there. We came in and Erica was who greeted us. She was real, transparent, and her customer service was great. She stated she was new, and apologized for taking a little extra time on the orders. The fact that she acknowledged us, kept a smile on her face, and even remembered me for the wine bottle order when we moved outside was great. I'm keeping our membership because of her. While, it may not matter to the winery as a whole, one employees service and just being a real person and a good human, meant a lot to us. “We got coupons in the mail for Pizza Guys, and live right around the corner, so decided to give them a try. I am actually mad that we’ve lived here for 5 years and this is our first time trying it. For years we’ve been able to smell the delicious scent of pizza, but for whatever reason never chose to eat here. This is probably my new favorite pizza place in Vacaville. 😋 The crust was soft and flavorful, and they did not skimp on toppings. My mushroom and olive pizza was absolutely loaded to where there was very little cheese showing through. “SaiGon Nho is quaint family run eatery that offer authentic Vietnamese cuisine. It is located at Texas st between Webster and Jefferson street in downtown Fairfield, CA.

They have breadth of traditional Vietnamese food at a very reasonable price. From their aromatic pho to savory rice meals, every bite was made with the freshest ingredients and traditional recipes. Today, I was craving some South East Asian food. And minutes later I’m at Saigon Nho. Interior seats were spacious with relaxing atmosphere. I swiftly perused their menu, and ordered a Chicken Vermicelli with veggies (Bún gá núóng). And it was very flavorful, fresh and tasty. Probably better than those they serve in Los Angeles.

Staff (Tony) was attentive young lad. Prices were a huge bang for your bucks. Serving was abundant. Street parking was easy. Overall, Saigon Nho has authentic flavor and I highly recommend them.“

Comes with big chunks of real gyro meat and grilled red onions, homemade hummus, cucumber salad, tabbouleh, and tzatziki and hot sauce on the side. It’s basically a small grocery store with a deli counter and grill, plus a seating area for eating in. Nothing fancy but a positive experience for those who crave Mediterranean food.“

Solid Mongolian BBQ Option in Fairfield–Suisun

I stopped by Fire Wok Mongolian BBQ on a Monday for lunch. There was plenty of seating and it wasn’t too busy. Since it’s right outside Travis Air Force Base, most of the lunch crowd was military, which gave it a steady but relaxed vibe.

I love Mongolian BBQ, and this is one of the few spots offering it in the Fairfield–Suisun area. I was greeted right when I walked in and asked if I had been there before in case I needed help, which I appreciated. I’ve worked at a Mongolian BBQ place before, so I was already familiar with the process and went straight to building my plate.

One thing I noticed was that lamb wasn’t available during lunch. I saw a note mentioning lamb is available after 3 PM for an extra charge. There’s another Mongolian spot in Suisun that offers lamb at lunch with no extra charge, so that was a small downside for me.

That said, the ingredients were fresh, the food tasted good, and overall it hit the spot. The space could use a bit of an uplift or refresh, but it was clean and functional.

Overall, a good lunch option if you’re craving Mongolian BBQ in the area. I’d come back again—especially later in the day if lamb is available.“

During a visit to our longtime friends Dr. T and his wife in Fairfield, California, they took us to a small, unassuming Korean restaurant tucked away on the corner of Parker Road.

It turns out our friends are regulars there, and we were warmly greeted by the owner, Mimi, a cheerful and talkative South Korean–born woman with a head of silver hair and a radiant smile. Her friendliness immediately set the tone for what turned out to be a memorable meal.

We began with an impressive array of eight traditional Korean appetizer platters (banchan), which included kimchi, kongnamul (seasoned soybean sprouts), tofu strips, kkakdugi (radish kimchi), and a few others—each fresh, flavorful, and distinct.

Knowing my fondness for seafood, Mimi recommended Seafood Jeon Gol, a hearty Korean seafood stew made with crab, mussels, shrimp, white fish, and vegetables. In some ways, it reminded me of a Korean version of French bouillabaisse or Italian cioppino—but with a uniquely Korean character, thanks to its rich kimchi and tofu-based broth.

Our friends also ordered the Haemul Pajeon (Seafood and Squid Pancake)—crispy, savory, and filled with squid and scallions—and the BBQ Galbi, tender marinated beef grilled to perfection with smoky-sweet flavor. Both dishes were outstanding, but the Galbi, in particular, was unforgettable.

As we enjoyed the meal, I complimented Mimi on her cooking and asked what her secret was. Her answer surprised me. With a grin, she said, “I hate cooking.” Then, laughing, she added, “But I love to eat.” She explained that her recipes came from her mother, who lived in a coastal city in South Korea. Over the years, she had recreated those childhood flavors through trial and error, guided only by memory and passion.

Needless to say, we had the pleasure of savoring an authentic Korean feast in the warm company of dear old friends. That combination—good food, good friends, and genuine hospitality—is truly unbeatable. Whether you come with company or on your own, I wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem in Fairfield.“

“WOW! There are not enough adjectives in the English language to describe how phenomenal this food was. I have gone all around California, and this is the BEST Chinese food I have eaten EVER. I got the Salt and Pepper Chicken, Walnut Shrimp, Beef and Green Beans, Crab Ragoons, Egg Rolls, Hot and Sour Soup and a couple more item's. Every single dish perfectly encaptured perfection in each bite. The Salt and Pepper Chicken was well seasoned, hot, crispy and juicy. The Walnut Shrimp was doused in delicious sauce, toasted walnuts and crispy shrimp. The Beef and Green Beans were salted to perfection, beef melted in the mouth, green beans were snappy. The Crab Ragoons were heaven in a bite, nice and crispy, perfect crab to cream cheese ratio. The Hot and Sour Soup was mouth watering, filled with all sorts of seasonings and veggies, each sip was healing my soul. The place was nicely decorated, lots of culture to it. The bar looked very clean and polished, like the rest of the restaurant. I got service with a smile the whole time, our waiters were very patient with me. I will do the 25 minute drive to go here every time I crave Chinese food, because frankly, this food was so good it ruined my go to spot for Chinese and became my new one! The staff were kind and professional and were very quick to change the grill if we needed it.

Called the restaurant and said we were on our way back. The host who answered said "sorry, that table has already been cleaned and we threw it away". We even had a full conversation with our waitress about our intentions with the amount of food we were buying.
